Part 1

A young man called Fusaya Oide appears in front of the Mouri Detective Agency, wanting to hire Kogoro to solve the mystery of the death of his father, Raita Oide.

Murder

Location: Oide household living room

Time: 4:30 pm

Cause of death: Blunt-force trauma

Suspects: Yasushi Taira

At 4:30, Oide Raita falls asleep onto the floor, to later die. At the same time, the burglar Yasushi Taira enters to the house to rob money.

Kogoro and Conan they know An Oide, the daughter of Raita and older sister of Fusaya, and Io Oide, the victim's wife and Fusaya's mother. For the shock of losing her husband, Io loses consciousness. Meanwhile the ammbulance deliver Io to the hospital, Kogoro and Conan see a strange woman smiling. Conan and Kogoro are discovering information when they know that an employee of Tebai engineering called Yasushi Taira robbed the house when Raita Oide was on the floor.

Kogoro and Conan discover the identity of the mysterious woman and the truth of this tragedy.

The truth of the murder is that Fusaya Oide accidentally pushed his father to a shelf when he was confroted by him, hitting his head and being unconscious, but he don't cared and got up to search Fusaya. At 4:30 pm, when the burglar enter the house, he saw Raita sleeping on the floor, to later die by an acute epidural hematoma that was caused by the hit of the shelf on his head. Fusaya breaks down in tears after knowing he killed his father indirectly, to later at the end of the episode turn himself to the police.
