Professor Agasa has a new invention to help Conan, Red Bow Tie Voice Changer!
There's someone knocking on his door late at night, Kogoro can't believe his eyes - it's popstar Yoko Okino!
Someone's stalking Yoko. She comes home to find her furniture rearranged, she get's blank envelopes with photos of her inside, and gets calls hearing a man breathing.
They arrive at Yoko's Apartment and find a dead body.
Inspector Megure arrives at the scene. The cause of death is the knife so Megure asks Yoko and Mr. Yamagishi if it's familiar to her.
When Yoko and Mr. Yamagishi takes a closer look, Mr. Yamagishi slips. Conan realises that Mr. Yamagishi slipped onto the body on purpose and took something.
Conan finds an earring and Yoko recognizes as Yuko's, her rival so they bring in Yuko for questioning.
Yuko admits she stole the spare key to find a scandal about Yoko and sell it to the tabloids.

Yoko and Yuko look identical from the back so that's why he followed Yuko into Yoko's apartment. When the stranger reached for you Ms. Ikezawa you thought he was attacking and you fought him off. In truth he probably just wanted to talk to his love. Rejection was the last straw for the already desperate man.
Yoko can't understand, Fujie broke up with her. Mr. Yamagishi confesses he told Fujie to break up with Yoko for her career.
Inspector Megure concludes that "This tragic case was the result of a lie a misunderstanding and a no good twist of fate."
Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta agree that following Conan and seeing the case was one of the most horrible yet exciting things they'd ever done and that they have to be friends with him!
