This is the second case about horses after The Tragedy at the OK Corral.
Surprisingly, Conan nor Kogoro notice the second mysterious man's resemblance with Kanenori Wakita being also middle-aged and having the same eyepatch. This shows the anime doesn't take in accound the manga.
