Case

Situation

Ran has a date today, and Conan is determined to find out who this guy is. But when a brutal murder takes place at the diner he's in, Conan steps into his detective shoes to solve the case. But a surprise is on the way for Conan, and he never sees it coming.

Himeno was found locked inside a bathroom stall. Thin strangle marks were found on the victim's neck, along with a single stab wound to the chest.

The killer was Juzo Tonoyama, and Yayoi was "the other woman" in his marriage. He was initially relieved of suspicion because the police thought the murderer locked himself into an adjacent toilet stall and then climbed over the gap between them to stab the victim. His bulk makes it impossible for him to traverse the gap. In actuality, Tonoyama stabbed Yayoi and then threw her from the gap into a random toilet stall instead. The thin rope was used to accomplish this task and the murderer must have gotten injured. The weird placement of Tonoyama's bandages is the definitive evidence.

She apparently didn't know that Tonoyama was a married man so she angrily started to demand for marriage, and he decided to kill her before his wife found out she was cheated on. In his anger, Tonoyama attacked Eri but she used judo to pin him down, which allows the police to catch him.

After that, Conan uses his child-like looks to try to force Wakaoji to reveal that he wanted to have sex with the girl he was waiting for, thinking said girl was Ran. To his surprise, it wasn't Ran... but it was someone they knew: Sonoko, who angrily calls him out. Conan is confused, and then Ran and Eri meet up. Eri lectures Ran on her too short miniskirt and she calls her "mom", sending Conan into a shock.
