Part 1
Conan, Ran, and Kogoro go to the Kanmon Strait. While at a dinner, they witness a group of people eating, and then a mean spirited and spiteful person manages to offend and hurt everyone at the table. Later, this man is killed, and everyone has an alibi.

With some investigation by the police and Kogoro, Conan begins and investigation of his own. He discovers that the friends took advantage of one person in the group's poor eyesight, so that one of them could commit the murder.
