The manual propeller division of the Birdman Rally kicks off, and the Aero Quest is getting its final adjustments prior to their run. While Ishizumi helps his team members, Yuma goes to get something he forgot from the university bus–where he gets knocked out, dragged away, and shoved in a vehicle.

Moments later, the disappearance catches the attention of Ran and Kazuha when they spot Yuma’s sister Rin looking worried, then Conan and Heiji when the girls find the tablet Yuma never goes without. While the girls return to the competition since it’s almost Aero Space’s turn, the boys inquire with the parking lot security guard about the car that got away from the end of the trail. The guard remembers that the driver was a man wearing a bracelet engraved with the word "shita", which Conan associates with members of a gang responsible for a serial robbery. He then calls Megure to ask him about that case.
