Only 33[edit]

Is it really only 33? Wow, it seems like it should be more, I guess some of those 2 hour specials contain more than one case? NakagawaRyou 05:57, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

I was stunned too! I was doing the count, and I was like "Really, that little?" But then I counted them as episodes instead of cases, and the number, episode wise, became somewhere between 55-60, and that to me sounds a little more believeable. It's hard to imagine that case wise, it's only about 33! Very interesting. CarpetCrawlermessage me 06:00, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
You guys are making a good point here. Should we count appearances by episodes or cases? Maybe we should be using an objective and absolute value instead of a contextual number? An episode is still an episode after all. Two (or more) episode parts are, just like any other, aired with at least one week separating them. Maybe we could do something like:
Episode 48: Diplomat Murder Case (Part 1)
Episode 49: Diplomat Murder Case (Part 2)
Even if they point to the same page, the absolute value of episodes would be preserved? It might also help give a good visual right away of how many episodes a case spanned and how important, eventually, the character's appearance must have been there. For example, The Desperate Revival spanned 6 episodes and Heiji played an important role there. Right now, it just looks like a normal episode after giving a quick sight at this list. What are your views on this? --Maurice 12:01, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
It's the same for Clash of Red and Black!. Heiji appears in it, but I don't even remember which part. I mean, I understand the sentiment, as it would make it look like Andre Camel only appeared in one episode, when he actually appeared in like the last seven or eight parts of the Clash arc... but to me I like this idea better. When the Wiki is more finished we can even have a page with an explanation on how the numbers work. CarpetCrawlermessage me 14:55, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
And what about Manga appearances? No matter what you may be more familiar with, the manga came first, is written by Aoyama-sensei, is the basis for the main story of the anime, and should take precedence... but that's a lot to go through... should we go by chapters, volumes, or not bother with it at all? NakagawaRyou 18:36, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
In my opinion, manga appearances should have its own template. But that's just me. I personally don't read the manga, only watch the anime, so most of my work is done with the anime and not the manga, but if someone else wants to work on a manga template they can go ahead! ^^ CarpetCrawlermessage me 21:12, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
You do bring up a good point and it is indeed tougher to do. I wouldn't mind going by chapters since there is currently only about 150 chapters more than the number of episodes. So, if we look at it this way, it's indeed still within our reach. I'll try working on it when I find some time again. :) --Maurice 22:24, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

What episode/movie are those from?[edit]

Hi, I recently saw this clip on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ie9t82ggYNg

at 1:10 Conan, Heiji and someone else talk about hearing a motorcyle

at 1:14 Heiji gets attacked by a motorcycle rider, defends himself with a pipe and knocks his helmet off ("kimi ga ireba" insert song)

What episodes/movies are those two scenes from?

Thanks. --93.212.218.73 17:37, 28 January 2014 (EST)

The someone else is Hakuba Saguru, and both scenes are from Movie 10: The Private Eyes' Requiem. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 21:31, 28 January 2014 (EST)
Ah, I thought it was Hakuba. Thank you very much! --93.212.218.73 03:43, 29 January 2014 (EST)
