aika 23 Report post Posted November 8, 2011 This idea was taken from show Deadliest warriors Which type of warrior you like or admire or want to be for example I like samurai I admire ninja I want to be a gladiator No need to give all three one would suffice enough like all in one Just to make things interesting you can also tell what weapons or part about the warrior you like to have more of a debate I'll add the poll for most usual one's tell me if you want to add more warriors By warriors it doesn't matter if they are from good or evil. Note:- This thread is For fun and debate purpose. For now there are 15 tell me if you want to add more . Fell free to give Any suggestion to improve the thread :-D
Anti-APTX4869 181 Report post Posted November 8, 2011 I like/admire/want to be Hwarangs. Young Teenage Korean warriors who are trained since they are around age of 10. They were mostly used as guards of the capital, escorts for Royalties, assasins, Major battles, etc. They are multi-talented warriors who can sing, play instruments, dance, perform, etc. They are also known to be highly educated as well. (they existed in Silla, one of the korean three kingdoms.)

Kyuu Nye 425 Report post Posted November 8, 2011 I'm not going to answer because each warrior culture has its good and bad. Though there is nothing good about ninja, pirate, mafia or yakuza. Ninja (real ninja) were peasants who decided to become spies and assassins with their farm tools that they eventually modified for battle. The overall perception of the ninja has been skewed by the media, and that is a shame. Their special technique was merely disguise and knowing the layout of the land. They also fought dirty, using powders and hidden knives to best better skilled warriors (samurai). Granted they more often than not ambushed samurai, and would avoid facing them in direct combat. Again, they were peasants whom decided to become spies and assassins and samurai were seasoned warriors who were trained from birth. There would be no contest. Pirates were former navy crewmen whom decided that it was not profitable to remain in the navy, either because they were forced to join or because they were over worked, and severely under paid. Funny thing is that they almost NEVER stole money, they stole SUPPLIES. Why would they bother stealing money when they couldn't use it? Surely you don't expect wanted men to just stroll into a port city and go on a shopping spree. So they stole what they could use and what they needed at the time. Not to mention that allows for far more targets than waiting for a boat loaded with money on it, because all ships have supplies on it, and pirates needed said supplies. Again... media has screwed with people's perceptions of pirates far too much. (And Deadliest Warrior did NOT help the situation at all, in fact they only worsened it because they come off as a show that does their research, which they clearly did not) Do I even need to mention Yakuza and the Mafia? There is a reason why they were both knocked off in the prelims for the final battle... They aren't trained, they just have guns and surprise. They didn't fight trained armies, they usually fought each other or unarmed or sometimes armed civilians. I have to say, I pity Gladiators though... I could go on with the misconceptions created by the show Deadliest Warrior, but I'll be here all day... It is a decently entertaining show, but should not be taken seriously. It is the worst kind of pseudoscience.

I agree with everything you said as for the show at least they did some research on the weapons of the warrior's and no ways anyone will take this seriously most of them don't exists nowday's Though there was one episode i didn't get was vampire's vs zombies in season 3 I guess. Actually I preferred that, because it is what the show already was... Deadliest CHARACTER. I hope they continue in that direction, it was far more fun and entertaining. Ah well if they continue like supernatural it might get more fun like werewolfs and mummies and all creatures .
