  1. Hip hip hurray!!!! \o/
  2. ^ The fact that this is thought of as a common occurrence and a common behavior in China is something to be worried about. Of course it does not mean that it is only occurring in China. Many other places including developed countries have these occurrences too, just that it is not so common or it is not actually published. But this is cause for concern. If Im in Japan, or Britain, for example, I wouldn't be too afraid to send someone to the hospital or help someone in need if I had to. However, I would think twice of doing so in China, especially in the suburbs and provinces.
  3. LOL Okay --------------------------- Just when everyone was trying to figure out which is the right street, KKLT's phone vibrated again. "Hello?" KKLT picked up her cellphone and answered the call. "Oh, and btw. I forgot a small detail. Jean drew something on the paper she faxed to me, an elephant on a scale. I'll leave you to figure that out." and with that, the phone was hung up. "...WHAT THE...!?" KKLT hung up the phone a little annoyed. "What's wrong? Who's that?" WH asked. "It's C." KKLT said in a low tone. "She has the habit of calling and hanging up the phone without any warning..." "Let's worry about that later..." Monsi butt in. "What did she say?" "Ah... She said she forgot a detail..." KKLT calmed down. "Something about an elephant on a scale..." "Huh...?" Misaki muttered, confused. "Maybe it has something to do with our location... Perhaps like a logo or something...?" KKLT whispered softly. "This is giving me a headache..." Chelsea complained. "Elephant on a scale reminds me of a famous story about Chinese Cao Cao trying to weigh an elephant." KKLT told the others. "And what is the story about?" asked Misaki. "Well, an envoy sent an elephant to the Chinese emperor and the emperor wanted to measure the weight of the elephant." KKLT started to tell the story. "However, even though the emperor offered much rewards, no one could measure the weight of an elephant. Everyone was wondering... How could anyone make a scale to measure the weight of an elephant which weighs MORE THAN A TON...?! And so..." "...Ton?" BK thought for a while. Everyone turned to look at BK. "Elephant... Scale... Weight... Ton. Could it be...?" KKLT picked up the piece of paper and looked at the names of the three locations. Everyone smiled. "I guess we have our location then." Monsi shrugged. "Right. Now for the exact place and time." KKLT nodded her head. --------------------------------------- I know this is ridiculous... >__< :P
  4. I think Ive heard of a similar case. This is so common in China that people are gradually not helping each other due to the fear. People are now left to fend for themselves. Actually, the part where Im really very shocked about, is the fact that the TWO YEAR OLD girl is left alone for so long. WHERE THE H*** IS HER MOTHER?!
  5. @Tsukiko: We probably wouldn't have the time to do that :V The mysteries are uncovering ----------------------------- "Could it be...!?" Monsi held up the device and showed everyone the map and pointed to a place. "New...Hampshire..." KKLT read out the name. "New Hampshire?" "How is that any link to NigaHiga?" asked Chelsea. "Ah! Could it be...?" "Yes." Monsi nodded. "NigaHiga. If we ignore the -iga in the words, we'll result in N.H. Which is New Hampshire." "Really? Then... that's out of Canada!" Misaki exclaimed. "I... I don't think so..." KKLT shook her head. "Why? NH is really New Hampshire... and its... at the boundary of Canada..." Misaki asked. "Well its... too far." KKLT thought for a while. "It will take approximately 6-7 hours on plane from here to New Hampshire." "But Pyre has been gone for days! She could have reached New Hampshire by now..." "The point is... she indicated to us a time. It could only mean we only have a few hours to reach our destination. She wouldn't make us go to such a faraway place." "Hmmm... True. Then where else could it be? If not New Hampshire?" Monsi asked. "Im thinking it could be somewhere near us. And... New Hampshire is not a street. I remember her saying NigaHiga Street..." KKLT pointed out. "Hmmm... " Monsi scanned the map again. "According to my knowledge, there are three street names near here with NH as its initials..." "And that would be...?" KKLT asked. "Here. North Hamilton Street." Monsi pointed to a particular map. "And here... North Hess street. Oh and here. North Hughson street." "But which is the right one...?" Chelsea frowned. Everyone sighed nervously. ------------------------------------------- Hahaha
  6. AM I ALICE? You're asking me if I AM ALICE? What's with the question? I MAY be Alice and I MAY NOT be Alice~ If you wish to know if I AM ALICE OR NOT you'll have to make me. Of course you can make me tell you whether or not I AM ALICE OR I AM NOT ALICE but you know it wouldn't be easy. But I can actually give you a hint as to whether or not I am Alice. Well, the hint is: If I am Alice, will I be asking this question? --> Are you Alice?
  7. Of course crowd mentality still applies. But in my opinion, the idea that they 'applied crowd mentality' already signifies they have lack of morality. From my understanding, their mentality would be more towards 'It would be troublesome to help, so I shall stay out of trouble's way'. Of course we cannot blame them for that because they want to protect themselves as well. This kind of mentality originated because of its society's problems. Even if you're a kind hearted soul who just happened to pass by and picked her up, you'll be subjected to suspicion and then their family might accuse you of knocking her down. Give some cash to the people around and they would become witness to your crime and you'll be sent to court and ordered to pay for their medical bills for a lifetime. This is their society and it had become such a common occurrence that made their people gradually lose their morality. However, the most alarming part is when the second car came by... If he just reversed and went another way, we can categorise it under 'crowd mentality', but he just went over her AGAIN like a piece of log and drove away... This is really disturbing.
  8. Im great too~ :P

    Just alittle bit busy >__<

    And tired... XD

  9. That's not the case. If you really watched what happened, it IS really the lack of morality. The girl has been run over by a van/truck (can't remember) and then the driver has actually realized that. But instead of stopping and bringing her to the hospital, he attempted to run away and thus, ran over her a second time. The tricycle that passed just looked at her and went around her. Many people passed without caring about her and just looked. Not even a single person called any help or ambulance. The most alarming part is, after very long, another car came by, and instead of moving her away, it went over her, crushing her another time. You can call it crowd mentality if you simply avoid her, but to run her over another time is really just murder... @wakarimashita: you're very right about that. Especially in guang dong province. Oh and the law in china actually make things more cruel. The price you have to pay in an accident for killing a person is actually lesser than that if you just paralyze him. That's why if you hit the person, make sure you kill him in one hit. Else, you have to pay him for life.
  10. XD Which reminds me of a friend who tried cooking the prawn in all sorts of 'flavours' during her biology lesson. :V

  22. ... ... ... LOL!!!! XD NigaHiga! Where have I heard this froM?! XD Anyways would you be telling us what you would be dropping off? >__< Or can I just make it whatever I like? Hmmmm~ ----------- "What the...!?" KKLT took the phone off her ear in frustration and looked absurdly at the rest of the people. "What happened? Is it Pyre? Is it?!" Misaki asked concerned. "It's C. But she's trying to tell us where to meet Pyre." KKLT squinted a little as she tried to remember her words. "She said... Niga...Higa street... Three little pigs. Half past half..." KKLT looked at the piece of paper she had written down on. KKLT scratched her head awkwardly as the rest of the team stared at her cynically. "... Really! That's... really what she said..." KKLT tried to explain. "She said she'll be leaving something there." "But...there's no NigaHiga street here... Nor is there ooga booga or marker parker..." Chelsea told KKLT sarcastically. "Che-Chelsea...!" choked KKLT. "...Perhaps its a code or somethi- Hey! It might be a code!" KKLT frantically looked at the piece of paper which she has written down on. Everyone stared at the words for a long time as they tried to figure out what are the meanings. "Urgh..." Misaki groaned after a long silence. "As if a note from John isn't enough... Now we have another one...PYRE!!!!!" "Haha..." KKLT sighed. "We need more than a huff and puff to break down Pyre's code wall now." "We need to figure out where is this place soon... Or else we wouldn't be able to meet up with Pyre." BK said worriedly. "Alright. Let's do this. From this, we know that NigaHiga Street is the Street name, and half past half is the time. As for three little pigs... maybe its a store, or a statue or something noticeable along the street. We'll come to that later. Let's solve the location first." KKLT took out the device that Nero gave her and turned it on. "This is the map and this is where we are. Anyone spotted any location which has anything to do with NigaHiga?" KKLT asked. Everyone scanned the map and scrolled it a few times. Suddenly, Monsi gasped. "AH...!" Everyone looked at Monsi as he picked up the device and scrolled to a specific map. "Could it be...!?" -------------------------------- There... We didn't solve it immediately
  23. So what really, does a forensics specialist do? Let's say if someone died mysteriously and family members want an investigation, they do autopsies? What else do they do?
