  1. The first thing Misaki saw was white. As she sat up, head pounding and armor clinking together- Wait, armor? Why am I wearing armor...? Why am I here? Where was I before I was here? Besides her name, she could remember nothing. What's going on...? Quickly, she looked at her body to see what exactly she had. Hanging from her waist was a sword along with several bags lining a belt. Digging through them led her to find that she had a variety of things in them, from food to bandages to... a tail? Another question added to the list. Around her she could hear people talking, though the distance between them and her made it hard to distinguish exactly what they were saying. So she got up and began her way over to the group. "Hello," she said, her deep voice tinged with an accent. "May I ask if any of you happen to know where we are?"

  4. "So zetta slow, kids. Four lowly hectopascals and one downgraded fractal. Ah, and now you've come to be integrated, I assume?" Stein tilted his head back and cackled. For some reason, he stopped suddenly and frowned. "Footsteps...one more factor?" Everyone turned around to meet the eyes of a small brown-haired boy with a smirk on his face. "Good evening, Stein. Or should I say Danzo?" What a deep voice for someone looking so young... "Haven't been called that in a while." Danzo took off his skull cap and shoved it into his pocket. "So what are you, fractal?" The boy didn't answer, but his smirk remained. Danzo grimaced, then cackled again. "Oh, I see, I see! This is all according to plan! Ha!" He ripped off his shirt to reveal black magical lines runnning down his body. "And in the end, it doesn't even factor in. It's time, I suppose, to show you the limit as I approach infinity!" He crossed both his arms and began to glow. The black lines running down his body began to pulsate and glow purple. The purple lines starting drawing elaborate designs on his arms, which Misaki recognized as something similar to a Forbidden Spirit sigil. His eyes began to glow purple and his skin began turning black. Soon, his eyes were completely purple, his skin was black, and deep pulsating purple lines ran down his body. It scared her honestly, to have to face such a being, but she swallowed it down and tried her best to calm her nerves. She had to fight with everything she had, for Sakila. "Ahaha! Witness the power of a higher Angel! An entity that surpasses even Him!" He expanded both his arms out and began distorting the space around the group until the group was in a completely different dimension, devoid of any features. What the...?! "Now...that we are alone, it's time to be iterated, yoctograms! Forbidden Spirit and Angel combined, let's see how you fare!" He waved his arm and several beams of purple light down. The group jumped out of the way and just barely made the beams miss them "Oh dear. Looks like Danzo's no longer bound to the rules of an Angel," the boy remarked. "And he's grown much more powerful. I suppose I could lend you a hand." The boy reached into his pocket and whipped out a cell phone. "Well, have fun!" He dialed a few numbers on the phone before bright beams of light targeted Danzo. Who is this boy? And just how powerful is he? Her thoughts were cut short as she heard someone yelling something out, so she turned to them to listen.
  5. "Whoa! who's there?" Garnet said suddenly. By now most of the group had shown up but were still missing one or two people. "It's me." Aster? "Since when did your eyes glow green Aster?" "How else do you suppose I see in the dark?" Aster said. "You'll know soon enough. Any plans? Laia is still not moving, so I guess something is fishy. Either it's on purpose or something else is the matter. I don't know this school all so well, so any idea how we might Stein?" "....How do you know the name?" someone asked quietly. Aster only smiled. "It's mine, not his. I have a reputation to keep in the Angel world you know?" What? So Aster isn't human? I am so confused... The entire situation was throwing her off, but she pushed it aside. Now was not the time to be wondering about things like that when there was more important matters at hand. "Alright..." someone else said. Syra had walked over to two taller figures, who Misaki guessed were teachers. Are they going to help? Her eyes scanned the group, noticing that Devin's eyes were a bit red. Crying, huh? Come on, let's take care o' that thing before it tries anythin' with the school! Then that jerk, Stein is goin' down." The orange-haired girl knelt down and wrapped a bit of tape around her broken toe, using a little to reattach the bandage she'd had on her leg and then taping her fingers for the fight. She dropped the roll into her bag, glad she carried mostly useful (non-school supply) items around. As they found a hall stairway that would lead to that part of the roof, Garnet dug her hand in the pocket of her pajama shorts, taking out half a candy bar. She held the chocolate out to Devin, asking, "You okay? Have some sugar, it helps." Without warning, a man came out of nowhere, seemingly calm. "It seems I have visitors." he said.
  6. "God dangit, what's with the freakin' light?" Garnet yawned, crossing her arms. "Guess everybody'll come ta investigate it, so we should head over there an' find the others." Nodding toward the core of the school, she raced on ahead of Misaki, limping slightly. She hurried to keep up with the orange haired girl, ready to catch her if she fell. After all, there was only so much you could do with a broken toe. "Stein, yer goin' down, along with whatever ya summon..." the girl called. She caught up to Garnet when she turned into a hallway. The first thing she noticed was what appeared to have been a body at some point and some purple and black mass reaching from the roof. "-the hell?!" "Holy..." Misaki started before trailing off. "Oi, let's get everybody gathered 'ere... We need ta check this out as a group so nobody gets hurt." The girl tugged an old flip phone from her bag before asking, "Can ya call Aster ta meet us 'ere?" "Yeah, sure," she replied as she got out her phone as well. She quickly dialed the boy's number and waited for him to respond. "Misaki? What's up?" "Meet me and Garnet at the center of the school. Things are going down and we're going to need everyone that we can get."
  7. "Nah, I'm the same. I think I broke one o' my toes, but other 'n that I just got slapped around a little. A couple scrapes, bruises, that's all. If you've got somethin', take care of it quick. It'll prevent scarrin'." With a grin she cracked her fingers and stretched. "I totally beat the crap outta those guys, but I dunno if I coulda finished 'em without yer 'elp. So, uh... Thanks, er whatever." Her frown returned. "Wait, Mr.Chills was- Is 'e up there, or did Stein-?" "You broke one of your toes?! You really should have that looked at..." Misaki said as she followed the girl. Pushing herself up, Garnet climbed up the steps clumsily. Both girls looked around, but neither could find Mr. Chills. "Eh? But..." The orange haired girl punched a wall a couple of times before heading back down the stairs, slower this time. She called to Misaki, "You seen Aster? I need ta talk to 'im, an' prob'ly Dev an' the others too..." "I saw Aster earlier, but I don't know where he went... Not sure about Devin." She yawned and blinked a few times, cracking her neck. "Maybe I'm a little tired-ish, so if I fall asleep just carry me, 'kay?" Misaki nodded. Though she wasn't physically strong enough to carry the girl on her own, her magic would help enough to make the task easier. The barefoot student looked around, then back at the taller girl. "Which way're we 'eaded?" "I'm not sure. I guess this way?"
  8. "Ya can take the one ya pinned. It's just about done~ Be careful, I'll cover ya if somethin' happens. I got this one." With that, Garnet kicked the prone spirit, goading it up out of the remnants of the banister and crumbled stairs. "Get up 'n' fight!" In the meantime, the spirit she had propelled against a wall was getting up, so she casted some powerful wind and water spells in quickl succession, not giving the spirit time to rest. Using the wind, she also threw some of the rubble at the spirit, pining it on the ground. "'Ey," Garnet said after she slammed the other spirit into the wall, "combine yer wind 'n' stuff with my fire an' lightnin'..." The two stood side by side before the spirits, arms raised and spells charging. Just before the combined casting, one of the spirits leapt forward, throwing itself at the girls in a last ditch effort to take them down. It collided with the two right as the spells were ready, and was almost immediately thrown into blinding light. A chunk was taken from the wall and floor, and when the mana faded the spirits were gone, apparently obliterated by the elemental strike. The two were flung towards the wall, though she managed to soften their blow by throwing out a quick wind spell to slow them down. The orange haired girl pulled her arm from under her torso and lifted it, making a thumbs up at her companion. "Got 'em," she coughed, dragging herself up to sit on her knees. "That was pretty freakin' awesome, eh?" Misaki wiped some dirt off her face as she replied with a small smile, "Yeah, it kinda was." With a satisfied sigh, Garnet looked down at herself, probably to see how badly injured she was. Misaki did the same for herself. Nothing too bad. Just some scratches. I can take care of that my- "It burned my SCARF!!" Garnet screeched, obviously furious. "Where are they?! I'll kill 'em again! Better yet, bring Stein right 'ere so I can smack 'im with a chunk o' the steps 'n' make 'im pay fer damages!!" Groaning, she flopped back onto her stomach on the ground, grumbling, "You okay...?" "Yeah, just some scratches. Don't worry, I can heal them up later. What about you? Do you want me to heal anything? After all, you must be really tired after using all that mana..."
  9. After the talk with Aster, she was left on her own once more. I should go back to studying that book... Not in my room though, I need to get outside. I'll go for a walk and see if I can come across a nice place to read. After grabbing the book and placing it in her bag, she made her way out onto the campus. It was a little cold, but nothing too bad. It felt nice. Misaki looked around, but couldn't seem to find a place isolated enough. The woods would be nice but... After fighting that spirit (or rather, healing people instead of fighting), she would be avoiding the woods for a while. A long while. She was heading over to the stairs when she felt a sudden increase in mana. What the...?! It was far from normal, so she rushed over to see what was going on. If she could help, she would. You might as well make a use of yourself seeing how you've done nothing. There she saw Garnet. "You wanna fight me, er just lay there an' die?" she asked something. Misaki then saw a spirit underneath all the rubble, getting into a defensive stance. Without thinking, she quickly summoned a strong wind spell and used it to propel the spirit into a wall. "Garnet! Where do you need me?" she said as she made her way over to the girl. (Feel free to control my character during the fight scenes Garnet.)
  10. She had been finishing up crying when she heard a knock on the door. Quickly wiping away any trace of her tears, she put on a stoic expression which turned into surprise as she saw who as at the door. "Hi. Can you come out?" he asked. Misaki held up a finger to tell him to wait a moment. She slipped on her shoes before leaving the room, closing the door behind her. Once she made sure the door was locked, she turned to Aster and said, "Yes?" "Here." he said after letting out a sigh and thrusted a bag towards her . "Have candy." "Thanks, I guess. Is there anything else?" Misaki asked. She wasn't hungry, but she was too tired not to be polite. It was autopilot for her. "Eat," he said. "Pardon?" "I said eat. Now. In front of me." "I'm not hungry." "No normal person would be. Do you want to talk about it, perhaps?" Aster asked. He proceeded to sit on the floor, his back against the wall next to the door. Misaki gave him a questioning look when he patted his hand on the floor next to him but quietly sat down anyway. "Have you ever had Twix?" Aster said. "Yeah...." she replied. "Was it good?" "It was fine." "I didn't know what you liked, so I got all the different variety I could see in the cafeteria." Aster said. Misaki silently began to rummage through the stash Aster had brought, wondering if there were any Reese's cups in the bag. There was. Since it seemed he wouldn't be leaving until he saw her eat, she popped it into her mouth. She heard him sigh in relief. "Also, about what you said before, I've been practicing magic since I could walk so you don't have to worry about the spells I use. Wind affinity flows along with my blood, plus it's very easy to cancel, compared to other magic. What kind of magic do you like using?" Aster asked. She swallowed the candy down before replying, "Wind and water. Those are my preferences."
  11. "That's a nice idea!" Aster exclaimed. "Oh by the way Mimori, the key point to that spell is keep your mana focused around you. It's an A-Rank spell, but variations can exist." He proceed to crouch down and waited for a while. Suddenly, he thrust his fist forward at shoulder length, but Misaki looked at the ground where there were two slanted lines in the soil. They started from behind Aster but the gap between them lessened as the reach the area under his hand where the would have met. They didn't join, but Aster connected the anyway, creating a curved V shape. "I see. But did you really have to taunt the spirit?" Misaki asked. "It was a fire spirit. Spirits are intelligent, and they can understand us. Depending on the element they have emotions. I remember that fire is anger while water is calmness." Aster explained. "Were you worried? I get carried away sometimes." "I was worried you were recklessly going to hurt someone," she said. "After all, what if something went wrong? It could have made the situation a lot more worse. We don't need to add to the body count." She let out a sigh. "Look, just..." she paused. "Be more careful, alright?" "Let's go back then," she heard Rouge say. Guess we're leaving. She quickly walked over to the others to catch up. After walking for a minute or two, Rouge stepped close to Misaki. "Sorry for that. Komari wouldn't forgive him at all. Can you apologize to her for me? She won't talk to me for weeks and it's hard to find her when she's avoiding me," he confided. He seemed sincere about it, so she replied, "I'll see what I can do." It was good to keep busy. Anything to keep her mind off of things. But while she couldn't avoid forever, it didn't mean she couldn't try. I still have to call Sakila's family though.... It was best to take care of things in the present. "Do you mind if I head back to the dorms?" she asked Rouge. "It's been a long day and I need to take care of some business regarding Sakila..." He paused before saying, "Fine. Have a good night Misaki." The girl gave a quick smile before running towards the dorms, just avoiding meeting Ms. Seeker she saw as she looked back. It didn't take her long to reach her room, and as soon as she made it inside she flopped onto her bed. Misaki allowed herself a second to decompress and to get her thoughts together before reaching for her phone and dialing a very familiar phone number. "H-Hello?" The voice was shaking, obviously from crying. She gulped before replying, "It's Misaki."
  12. It didn't seem as if they heard or saw her as Garnet boasted, "A distraction? I'm pretty great at those. If this thing killed Dei and Sakila, it ain't gonna last long with us, so ya better have a plan, Red." So in the meantime Misaki decided to watch. It's better to get a basic idea about what's this thing is. I don't want to blindly attack. Taking a loose fighting stance, Garnet paused for a minute before running at the Spirit. She leapt up and threw a haymaker at what she figured was its face, using its hands/claws as stepping stones to avoid the counterstrike. The hit connected, and the girl grinned. "So, you can't do anythin' but scratch at the physical body, an' I can do the same ta you? Looks like it ain't yer lucky day." After getting in one more good punch, she hopped down to dodge a sweeping arm and jumped back, standing next to Aster. "Want me ta seal ya so you can fight without gettin' yer mana messed with? Looks like we can touch it with blunt force," she asked. As she waited for an answer, the girl poked his forehead. "If you wanna seal it, jus' tell that bit to hide the rest kinda an' it'll protect it." With another grin she looked at Misaki. "Heya. We got a Spirit thinks 'e can get away with murder, Misaki. Wanna help distract 'im so Red can take care of it?" Garnet touched the girl's cheek, feeling the mana seep in. "With this ya can supress yer magic if ya wanna try takin' this thing on with force. If ya wanna try magic, be careful not to let the spirit tap inta the source, 'kay?" She nodded. With that she turned back to face the monster, cracking her knuckles. "Now, where were we?" Barely dodging a clawed swipe that grazed her calf, Garnet rushed to the side and threw herself at the creature's body, pummeling it with a rapid series of punches. Kicking at its legs with her scratched leg, she shouted, "You're gonna pay for what ya did!" Misaki looked up. There should be enough in the sky to summon some rain. But before she could, she saw Syra near her, summoning up a mass amount of fire. "Wait, Syra, that ain't a good idea!" Garnet shouted. Moments later, the creature was flying at the girl. "Crap!" she heard the orange haired girl yell as she grabbed hold of the Spirit's left arm and swinging herself over onto its back. She reached around and put the beast in a chokehold, tugging back as hard as she could. "Get it while it's distracted you guys!" she yelled over the screeching coming from her enemy. Garnet kept her hold, trying not to get thrown off by the thrashing Spirit, and added, "First dibs on the rodeo~" "Actually, I have a better idea." Aster said, increasing his mana. What the...! The creature lunged at the boy. There was a slight explosion with ripples in the air as the Aster vanished and reappeared a good distance from where everyone was standing, the spirit following after him. "That guy...!" Syra yelled, not finishing though. Did he... Did he break the sound barrier?! Garnet was able to tackle it down, but as he was now, he had no chance of hitting it without getting his mana sucked. Misaki assessed the situation quickly, seeing if there was any way to attack without getting her mana sucked. Before she could act, she saw lightning crackling around his body. Aster used a decently strong lightening spell and dived straight for the spirit, his slipstream slashing everything in its wake. The mana of the spirit distorted here and there due the burst of air but in the end it came back with a flair. "Unfortunately not." Aster said, the slightest provocation making the spirit lunge for him. "Meh, Is that all?" he grinned, his eyes shining like he had found a new toy. "Is it really that smart to taunt something like this..?" Misaki muttered, still not acting due to not knowing what to do. She was adaptable, yes, but going against something she had never seen before was a bit out of her depth. "Looks like I was right." Rouge said. She looked towards him, noticing a circle drawn on the ground. He stood in the middle of it. She recognized the type of circle right away, having seen it mentioned in a book once. A sealing circle! Woah! "Playtime's over, bring it here Aster." There was another slight explosion before Aster was standing besides Rouge. "That was quick- holy hell!" "Oh, what do you see?" Rouge asked, stepping in the center of the seal. "Time to be the bait." "Hey, why are you asking me?" Aster inquired, the spirit now charging straight at them. "You're the bait." Aster said to the redhead. Rouge pouted. The two argued somewhat childishly over who would be the bait. "Decide already!" she yelled out, seeing the spirit approaching fast. It seems that they had, as Aster charged up, causing the spirit to lunge at him. Rouge clapped his hands, an unnecessary gesture, and slammed them on the ground. It lit up brightly, as if there were lights underneath. Aster sidestepped just as the spirit grazed the side of his neck. Time seemed to stop as a bright light enveloped the forest, before it reduced gradually, revealing only Aster and Rouge. Misaki stood, frozen, surprised by the high level of magic used. They're really good... "I think that was too easy." Aster said. "Anti-climatic even." he added. "I didn't actually seal the spirit, I just sent in somewhere else." "WHAT?!" several people yelled in unison. "Trust me, it's more fun to let the Headmaster take care of it." Rouge yawned. Are you kidding me? "I hope the headmaster gives it what it deserves..." Garnet sighed as she glanced down at the long scratch on her leg, frowning at the blood getting on her torn jeans. "Great, I've only got one more pair..." The orange-headed girl gave Rouge and Aster a respectful nod, mumbling something before turning to Devin and Syra. "I'm glad she's okay, but ya coulda been more careful," she grumbled at the short, bespectacled boy. "I think ya broke 'er wrist. And she ain't filth, either... Thanks, though." "Syra," Misaki said, heading over to her, "do you want me to treat your wrist? I just learned how to, but I think I can at least hurry up the healing process..." The girl gave a nod. So, after making a splint for her, she gently grasped her wrist and focused sending mana to the affected area. After a few minutes, she asked, "Is that ok? Once again, she nodded. "Thanks." "Oi, you! Whattaya think you're doin'?" She turned towards Garnet, who was looking at a silver haired boy. He walked over and sidled up to Misaki before gave her a wink. Unconsciously, she shrunk back, feeling uncomfortable with such close contact with him. The boy handed her a flower before saying, "I'm Johannes Weiss. Nice to meet you." Johannes looked Devin up and down. "So you're young Mister Song, huh? I heard you were into Earth style magic too~" Garnet snapped, "Why were ya standin' there like a creep while the rest of us were fightin' that thing?" Johannes' lips fell into a frown, and he held a hand out to her, fingers splayed. "Johannes. But you can call me Loki. I was observing like that glasses-wearing shortie." "I'm not short," she muttered, pouting. Garnet took the hand, but Loki smirked before a vine snaked to them and wrapped around her leg, tripping her. Chuckling quietly, he added, "I'm the trickster king of this place, no creep. All about illusion, misdirection, and pranks." Immediately she was by Garnet. "Are you ok?" she asked. The girl nodded. "So, what's your name, miss?" the silver haired boy asked her. "Misaki," she replied distractedly, looking over Garnet's injuries and seeing where she could help. "Loki," Rouge said, his tone revealing how tired he was. "Hey there V.P." Johannes chimed and stopped. "This particular part of the forest had no magical properties while the earth is defective. You couldn't use earth magic if you wanted to." Rouge explained. "Thanks for the help. You did more than me." Aster commented. "Devin Song, correct?" Rouge asked. "Explain to me because a teacher will surely put this on your permanent record." "Hi!" Aster said somewhat nervously. Garnet glared at the prankster and stood up, shaking her head at Aster's greeting. "Ya did plenty," she argued, grinning. "That was a great move, increasin' yer mana with the wind spell. I'd ask ya ta teach me, but wind's outta my range." She gave the buy a friendly punch on the shoulder, adding, "Ya saved Syra too, so I guess you've gotta be alright, huh?" "Mana manipulation is all about concentration. I doubt a regular wind-user could use that spell though. Too much strain." "Too bad," Misaki said. "I would have liked to learn that spell...." Garnet took a couple of safety pins from her pocket, using them to pin the gaping hole in her pant leg. "Maybe I'll start a trend or somethin' with these," she joked before falling on her face again, this time Devin being tripped where he stood as well. "The hell!?" "Will you stop already?!" Misaki yelled, turning to face Loki. She was annoyed with his prank playing, especially after the day they'd had. "I was just trying to have a little fun~" he replied. "Well have fun without tripping people," she said. "By the way," Aster said, turning to Garnet, "I have a sewing kit in our room. I can lend it to you." "And I can sew that up for you if you want," Misaki added. "I used to do it all the time for Sakila, so..."
  13. Misaki closed the book and hid in under her pillow, done with it for today. She had learned a lot about using mana to heal. I should get some fresh air... Take a walk. It'll be good for me. After putting on a dark colored jacket for the chilly evening and her bag, she headed out. The girl more or less wandered around, making sure sure not to be seen by anyone. After all, she didn't want to get in more trouble with Mr. Chills. The man nearly froze my fingers off... Somehow she ended up in the woods by the school. It was nice, to have some peace and quiet after such a draining day. I bet Sakila would have liked it.... Her mood sunk almost immediately. I wonder if her family's been informed yet... I'll have to call tomorrow and see what I can do to help. When she looked ahead, she noticed a glow coming from deeper in the woods. "What the...?" she muttered to herself as she started to jog towards the light. As she came closer, she started feeling hotter and hotter (and not from the running). She shed her jacket and stuck it in her bag just as she came across Rouge, Garnet and Aster up against something big. Rouge looked tired, with his clothes ragged and some scratches still bleeding. She heard him say, "Listen up, here's the plan; I'll crush that wall over there and you guys will keep the spirit distracted while I make a seal into the ground." "Guys?!" Misaki yelled, running over to them. "What the heck is going on?!"
  14. "Excuse me, is Ms. Seeker there?" asked Rouge as he led the group into the classroom. "Rouge. Get out of here! What's your business?" snapped a brown haired girl. "Calm yourself. They need to see Ms. Seeker. Welcome her new assistants, courtesy of Chavin Kills." Rouge said evenly. "Did I say Chavin? I meant Kavin." "Leave them here, Rouge. Get back to your oh-so-important Vice President duties!" she said. "I do agree being voted by 499 students to help them is important. I'll take my leave, let me have a word with Aster." "My! I know you four! You were friends with that Sasaki Saki that died today! Come here, and tell me what happened!" blurted out Ms. Seeker. Misaki clenched her fists, the utter fascination in the woman's voice really pissing her off. She was a person, not a funny story! "Um..." muttered Garnet, looking as if she didn't know how to respond. Whatever was said next was lost on Misaki when she turned her attention to Rouge, who handed her a book. "Here, it's useful." he smiled at her before walking out the door. She looked at the cover. Vitamagic... Am I allowed to read this? Is he allowed to give it to me? Before she could open up the book and flip through it, Devin snatched it from her hands and put it back where it belonged. "Uh, miss?" the brown haired girl said. "I think they don't want to talk about that right now. I'm Syra Komari, a 2nd year student. Now don't you worry that I'm going to set this whole place on fire. Have a cup of tea." The attitude change took her by surprise, but didn't question it as she sat down. "Unless that's Earl Gray with a single sprig of cinnamon and authentic oil of bergamot, then I'm not touching it. Not that I'd trust you with making my drink even if it was," Devin said, his eyes trained on Ms. Seeker. "Now, I've heard about what happened, care to tell me in detail? from start to finish?" Ms. Seeker asked. Aster answered the teacher quickly. "It was mana drainage, her body mass began depleting rapidly. There would have been a fair chance of saving the victim, but-" "Boy, drop the but. There is no way to stop them. Had anyone interfered in the pathway of mana, they would have been added to the body count." Garnet looked at Ms. Seeker. "You understand the mana path, an' what would happen... Does that mean ya know what coulda done this?" Her grin was long gone, and her hands were still in the pockets of her jeans. The short-haired student looked increasingly serious about the situation. The cups were set in front of them, though she didn't drink. Her mind was still on the book. I really want to read it... It could help me learn how to heal with my water magic... Well, perhaps if I- "Now, I'll fix your bandages there, cute girl," Syra said, interrupting her thoughts. "It's normal for you to get frostbitten during a trip to Mr. Chills' office. Now the tea's getting cold, and we'll talk about your duties as Ms. Seeker's assistants over cups of tea, is that all right?" She blankly nodded as she held out her hands to be rewrapped. The girl did it quickly and efficiently, and once she was done Misaki said, "Thank you." Meanwhile, it seems the others were talking about Walpurgis Night. "It would make perfect sense if the said Walpurgis Night would originate here. The entire school is abound with magic and mana. Spirits would be naturally drawn to here... that is if it's really spirits that are the real culprits. This might be too far-fetched but we can't discount the fact that it might be an inside job." Devin said, offering his contribution. The others nodded, agreeing with him. Syra suddenly said, "Now let's brief you on what you're going to do as Ms. Seeker's assistants! Okay...Just noticed you haven't given me your names yet...Then Ms. Seeker will tell you what to do tomorrow, since it's almost dinnertime." Ms. Seeker continued, "Ah, yes.. Misaki Mimori and Garnet Wisteria, you can both work on books. They seriously need rearranging. Please arrange them alphabetically. Devin and Aster, you can work on that mess over there." She pointed to a pile of papers, clips and some parts of automatons. "The parts you can keep in that storage room. The papers in the organizers. But whatever's in there is none of your business! Now, that's for tomorrow, after your regular classes. Now off for dinner!" She made a shooing motion with her hands, and the students took their cue. Well, everyone but Misaki. She asked, "Do you think I could start my job now? I'm not very hungry, whatwith what happened and I just need to get my mind off of her..." Her voice trailed off as she looked to the ground. Ms. Seeker paused for a second before asking, "Were you two close?" She nodded. After another pause, the woman replied, "Well I don't see the harm. Get to work then!" With another nod, she turned towards the bookshelf and got to work. About an hour into her sorting, she was about to pick out another book to put in the right place when she noticed it was the book Rouge had tried to give to her earlier. She paused. Well, the Vice President was the one who tried to give it to me in the first place so it must be ok... With a quick glance over to Ms. Seeker, who's back was turned to her and was also engrossed in something, Misaki sneakily took the book off of the shelf and placed it in her bag. She stayed for another ten minutes before announcing, "I'm off. I'll do more of it tomorrow, ok?" Ms. Seeker lifted a hand to wave goodbye but didn't look up. Without saying another word, Misaki scurried off, running to her room and quickly closing the door. The minute she made contact with her bed, the book was open. Time to learn.
  15. Giving a lopsided grin, Garnet scratched her head. "Well... Most o' what I tried to do there was theory. I never really studied magic before, it's all just things I've used in the past. See, when I'd get in fights with my- er, the cauterization thing's, uh, kinda useful, but ya risk infection. Other than that, all I can really do to help is a trick I learned to transfer mana from one place or person to another. For some reason it works well on people who can't use magic. Water's real useful, but I'm bad with it, so I tend not to mess with it..." Misaki nodded, filing away all this knowledge. I can look into healing with water on my own then. "I'll teach ya what I know, but you'll need a much better instructor for anything great. Maybe if Chills hasn't locked us down by tomorrow we can head to the practice halls an' try some basics. I'm a pretty good healing dummy." With a chuckle, she shrugged, smiling at the younger girl. She tried to smile back, but it just felt forced. The other girl sighed, "I hope this meeting's better than the past hour has been..." Finally they made it to Mr. Chills's chambers. With a deep breath, she followed the others inside. The man sat behind his wooden desk, looking rather comfortable in his leather seat. "Isn't that quite interesting. I'm pretty sure I called an additional person here, one Sasaki Saki?" Someone opened their mouth, but he continued, "Ah, I heard. I hear it's rather difficult to keep appointments...when you're dead." Chills made an unusual grin, as if he was smiling at his own remark. Misaki slipped her hand into her pocket, angry that he would even joke about Sakila's death. She still had the lighter that she had (albeit accidentally) taken earlier in the day and even if she couldn't control fire as well as she liked, she could still use it. I wouldn't mind seeing this place burn. His cool composure soon returned, and he turned to Rouge. He made a dismissive gesture, and said, "Thank you, Rouge, you are dismissed." The redhead did as he was told. As soon as he was gone, Mr. Chills turned back to the group. He put his hands together, and frost began gathering in the room. "I happen to have very important business. Verily, I have little time to deal in the affairs of rowdy students who seem to find it amusing to cause trouble on their first day." He paused, then continued. "Alas, I must mete out some form of punishment to set an example. Oh, the plights of my occupation." He snapped his fingers. "I believe you know Ms. Seeker? She's a teacher at Gretchen. All of you will be serving as her assistants until I tell you that your tenures have passed. I feel that this is an appropriate punishment, even if it is a bit light for me." Chills stood up, then walked to the wall, hands held behind his back. "Also, your Saki. I believe Ms. Seeker will have some form of knowledge regarding her death. Even if she is some sort of crazed conspiratist." He turned back to face the group. "Do I make myself clear? Do you understand what to do?" Misaki held back her glare and just nodded. Once everyone had nodded, heheld out his hand, as if he was about to dismiss the group. Then, he gave a chilly smirk, and said, "I do think I'm being rather soft today. There is one more punishment you will be receiving." He rubbed his hands together, and a blue spark formed between them. "I never leave any student that enters my office without some degree of frostbite." Misaki's eyes widened, but before she could react her fingers began to burn. She screamed, partially because of the pain, but mostly because she was just so goddamn angry. Angry at Mr. Chills, at whoever killed Sakila, at herself. It felt good. Really good. The group soon scurried out, cold to the bone and at the same time feeling like they had been burnt. "Hold still please." Rouge said, making everyone sit on the floor. Rubbing his hands together, he heated up their clothing, which helped with the cold. However, this didn't help with the frostbite. Thinking back to when she spent time reading a book on winter survival meant for non-magical people, she got a water bottle out of her bag and used her teeth to open it up as best she could. Though somewhat clumsily, she managed to engulf the affected areas of everyone with water. She looked over to Rouge. "Do you think you could warm the water up? It'll help the frostbite." The redhead gave a nod and did as he was asked. After about 20 minutes later, she brought the water back into her water bottle. A little bit didn't make it in, but she didn't care. It was only a little water. Stretching her fingers, it felt good to not feel the burning sensation. "So, how bad was it?" Rouge asked Misaki. She started, "He told us to go see Ms.Seeker and act as her assistants till he wants. And Ms.Seeker might know something....something about-" "It's okay. Ms.Seeker is a delightful person, a bit batty perhaps. She'll be glad to have four new helpers." Rouge smiled. "I was afraid the teachers had gone home, but I forgot to check the labs for a certain someone. Maybe Ms.Seeker is still there." He gestured them to get up and continued, "Let's go and see." Rouge started to walk, leaving the others on the ground. They scrambled to get up and catch up. While they followed him, Misaki asked, "Garnet, may I please have some bandages for my fingers? I remember reading that it's a good idea." Nodding, the girl took some out and handed it over to her. "Do ya want some help?" she asked. "I'll be fine," she replied quietly as she started to clumsily wrap her fingers.
  16. Misaki's eyes drifted towards the window, though all she could see was the group's reflection. What did Sakila see? Whatever it was, she was going to destroy it, no matter what. You don't even know where to start. The feeling of uselessness crept back in. You idiot. You think you can take on that without knowing a thing? You couldn't even help Sakila. You're weak. Unnecessary. She dug her fingernails into her palms till she could feel the sting of pain. Stop it. This won't help. "Do you intend on appearing before Mister Chills with such an obviously pained look about you?" D&G boy asked, suddenly next to her. It struck a nerve. She retorted harshly, "Do you intend on appearing before Mister Chills with such an obviously stupid look about you?" Wanting to get away from him, Misaki sped up till she was next to Garnet. "Will you teach me how to use magic for healing?" she asked quietly. I can prevent such things from happening in the future if I'm prepared. I can help people.
  17. Sakila gave her a small smile and whispered a quick "thank you" before shuffling over to the corner. Misaki, not wanting to invade on her conversation, stayed where she was standing but kept her eye on her. She watched as the girl turned towards the window and squinted. What is she looking at? After a few minutes the girl made her way back to her, though her eyes were still focused on the window. "Better?" she asked, worry creeping into her. "Huh? Oh, yes." Sakila blushed a bit before saying, "Ah! Your phone, here. Thanks." She quickly passed the phone back before her eyes drifted back to the window. She's fixated on that window. What is wrong? Gently, she put her hand on her arm and started, "Something's still wrong, right? You can te—" Uncharacteristically, Sakila cut her off."Misa-chan, what is that?" Confused, she asked, "What's what? What do you mean?" "That! In the window, what is that?" The girl was getting more hysterical as she grabbed the arm of someone and said, "Hey! Do you see that?!" "Wh-what? What are you talking abo—" For the first time in a long time, she was scared. "Sakila, stop! What's wrong?!" She heard others speak, though barely. "Hey, Sakila?!" "What's wrong with this girl?!" Suddenly, Sakila screamed, "MISA-CHAN, MOVE!" With all her might, she shoved her away. A surprised squeak came out as she fell into someone's arms followed by the sound of shattered glass. For a second, everything was silent. No one moved as tiny pieces of glass came down like crystalline snowflakes. Misaki tried to get to Sakila, but the person who caught her held her back. "It beginsssss..." something croaked. "It will end," the girl whispered back. In an instant, shards of glass were in Sakila's body, her white coat staining a crimson. She couldn't move, couldn't breathe, couldn't do anything. All she could do was watch as Sakila was sent reeling back, a blood trail following her. This snapped her out of her daze, screeching, "SAKILA!" as she ran over to her. She was oblivious to what was happening around her as she cried out, "Sakila! Open your eyes! Sakila!!!" "I dunno what's goin' on, but I've dealt with wounds before... Sorry if it hurts a bit, but I'm gonna try an' help..." Misaki looked up, seeing Garnet. Garnet took a bobby pin and swept her orange bangs out of her eyes, pinning them back before removing the once-white coat from the girl. Taking a deep breath, she focused her attention on the glass shards sticking out of Sakila's skin. She coursed small amounts of fire through them, attempting to cauterize the larger wounds and prevent more blood loss. In the process, each piece of broken glass lifted from her and dropped away. The smaller ones that barely leaked any red were treated with her bandaids and antibiotic ointment. Working more delicately around the girl's face, she hurriedly picked shards out of her skin and focused mana on the areas. Letting out a sigh, Garnet wiped away the blood with one of her spare cloths and felt the pulse on the side of Sakila's neck. After, she checked if the bleeding had stopped and took her tube of burn cream from the bag she always carried, shaking it. Working quickly and as delicately as possible, she applied the ointment to the cauterized gashes, totally silent and for once entirely focused. The girl gave her a thumbs up, though all she could do is blankly stare. Garnet checked Sakila's pulse once more before taking another spare cloth from her bag, wiping the red from Sakila's face and exposed skin before glaring somewhere. Useless. That's how she felt. She couldn't do anything to help at all. All she could do was watch Sakila die. Absolutely useless. In all her self hatred, she almost missed what Garnet said. Almost. "Don't touch Sakila. Or the others... I'll find you. Then the fight begins." Garnet let out a sigh before mumbling to herself and brushing glass from Sakila skin. She shook her head, causing Misaki's heart to drop. The look she gave her only made it worse. "What do I...?" she started before freezing. She was dead. Her heart stopped. She couldn't breathe. "It beginsssss." She turned to the voice. It was Sakila... At least, it looked like her. "Remember, all of you." A distorted smile, eyes rolling back into her head. "Remember our power." It wasn't her. She knew that. She really did. "Remember our sssssstrength." "Sakila...?" she said, slowly reaching out towards her. She couldn't help but hope. Maybe she... Her head moved at breakneck speed and twisted around at an odd angle, causing her to snatch her hand back, scared. "Not anymore. Today, it's beginsssss. Beware! We have finally arrived!" A high-pitched scream emanated from the girl's mouth before she suddenly clamped her mouth shut and slumped over, her face returning to an otherworldly grin. Misaki shook as she stared at the body, not sure what to do. She noticed a man, with flaming red hair, very calmly kneel down next to Sakila to feel a pulse. The composed smile on his face faded as he turned to her. "I'm sorry for your loss," he said. It sounded impersonal, but she nodded in thanks, unable to find her words. Some upperclassmen had brought in a stretcher. Misaki reached out to put Sakila's body on the stretcher, but the red haired man beat her and gently laid her corpse down before covering it with a white sheet. "Thank you very much. Please take her to the hospital, if you may." he said to the students. The two boys nodded. The red-clad teen took out his roll of tape before closing off the area. "I request everyone, I mean everyone, to go to their dorms," he ordered everyone who remained. She didn't want to go back to her room. Not yet. "We have a meeting with Mr.Chills..." Misaki said, desperate to stay out as long as possible. She wanted to keep busy. She didn't want to think about it. About her. Not now. Not yet. He just smiled back. "We've no time then miss, follow me, I'll lead you to where he is. Who else is needed?" Garnet raised her hand half-way while the boy Sakila had been chasing walked over. "Go to the dorms Aster," the redhead said. So Aster is his name. "I also need to go. He was inviting us all when I came to." Aster said. A look of displeasure came over her features even though normally she would school her face to be polite. "Okay then. Anyone else I need to know about?" D&G Boy joined them as well. Keeping up the composed smile, the redhead led the way to Mr. Chill's chambers. Misaki kept to the back of the group, trailing behind everyone else by several feet. She may not want to be alone, but that didn't mean she didn't want space. She could feel a tear try and snake its way out, so she quickly turned the eye that was trying to cry away from the others and wiped it away. There will be time for crying. Now isn't it.
  18. Misaki paced nervously as she waited for Sakila and Garnet to get back. Are they ok? I hope nothing bad happened... At the sound of footsteps she turned around, finally letting out the breath she hadn't realized was being held in. "Uh, somethin' weird was goin' on up there. There was a body an' some kinda warning. It's been taped off by a guy called Vice President Rouge." Garnet said as she glanced at Sakila, who appeared to be coming out of her shock. "Should we get 'er somethin' to drink?" she asked, addressing Misaki. Scratching at a scar on her cheek, she added with a cough, "We STILL haven't found the lunchroom..." As soon as she heard dead body she was at Sakila's side. With a hand placed on her back, she asked gently, "Do you want something to drink? Maybe to eat?" "Someone died," the girl whispered, licking her lips. "I-I-it's not anyone I know, I don't think...But, I... I..." She shuddered slightly and pulled her coat tighter to herself. "An-anyways... We should probably get to the lunchroom, right?" She gave a smile, albeit a weak one, and nodded. Slipping her hand into Sakila as a way to make sure she didn't wander, she led everyone to the cafeteria. As they entered the lunchroom, she heard Sakila say to herself, "Irrational... Everyone else saw it as well. They must be feeling the same way." Worry took over. Oh god maybe letting her come here was a bad idea? Maybe I should have taken her to her room? Maybe- "Can I see someone's phone," she asked suddenly, turning around. A phone was in the girl's hand only seconds later. "You know you can always use mine," Misaki said.
  19. "So... Miss," Misaki said as she turned to the orange haired girl. "Do you still want to know where the cafeteria is? Saki and I can show you if you'd like." At the same time, the D&G boy yelled out to the blue haired man, "Understood, sire. We'll definitely be there," before looking to the group and saying, "We reconvene here promptly after we have supper." She felt a twinge of annoyance at this boy, for she had barely known him for five minutes and already he was barking orders at them. Will have to avoid him... "Chills, huh?" Misaki heard Saki say under her breath. "Dad told me he would be on break this semester. I really hope his little brother isn't here. He made my childhood so misera--Ah! Misa-chaaaaaaaaan!!!!!!!!" She suddenly yelled her name as she grabbed the taller girl by her wrists and pulled her into an embrace. "I couldn't find you anywhere!! I know you told me you would text me, but I dropped my phone in a pond on the way here and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the extra water to seep out between the cracks so I could spark it back to life and I was hoping you could help me when my sister told me to get some peanut butter on the way to drop off at grandma's house and then I--" She gave a smile and said, "It's okay, I'll help. Here, let's help this girl get to the cafeteria, first, ok?" "Oh! Yes! Yes! Hi, my name is Sasaki Saki! You can call me Saki! I haven't visited the campus grounds in a long time and some of the buildings have been remodeled so I'm sorry if I can't lead you properly! But I think I remember the general layout. And the cafeteria should be in this direction. But I really suggest you should buy something from the pizzeria on the other side of the hall. Bring your boyfriend, too! Except he can't come!" Sakila paused her speech to point to Aster, before continuing. "But everyone else is welcome! In fact, it's my treat! Dad gave me some extra money so I could treat Misa-chan to dinner tonight, but I think I have enough for that in my piggy bank. I should go check, just in case! Ah! But I left my things in the office, so I'll be back! Meanwhile, I think you guys..." Sakila skipped up the stairs, still talking, not realizing that she'd left everyone at the bottom of the steps. How Sakila. "Wait, what?" The orange haired girl said as Sakila skipped away, "I do NOT have a boyfriend, Saki!!!" After grumbling, she continued, "Sorry, uh, Misa, was it? Should we wait for Saki?" Before she could answer, the D&G boy interrupted once more by tapping the orange haired girl on the shoulder and holding out his singed hands. "You were talking about a 'burn cream'?" he asked, his voice skittering around the words burn cream as if they were things that he should be apprehensive of. "Do it for me. I don't know what is the correct process of putting such low-grade sounding substance onto my pristine skin. Maybe then I'll let this entire ordeal pass.... Maybe." The orange haired girl sighed, taking a tube of burn relief ointment from her bag. To show the result of use, she peeled the bandage from her right hand, showing off a faded pink mark. "This one's fresh from this mornin'..." She then lifted her sleeve to point out a barely visible mark across her shoulder. "There used ta be no skin there, but after a few months it's fine." She gave a grin, which faltered after a moment. She continued, "Tch, you're just sheltered and pampered, aren'tcha?" Regardless, she applied the cream onto his hands and took a couple of spare stick-on bandages from her left pocket, attaching them over the burns with a practiced precision. "There ya go, good as new!" she announced, giving the boy's hands a light slap. "By the way, my name ain't Barbaric or nothin'. It's Garnet, thanks very much, Mr.Face Mask." "Garnet, huh..." Misaki muttered quietly, filing the name away in her head. Louder, she continued, "Well Garnet, we should wait for Sakila. Knowing her, she'll be back soon enough." "...And it was the first time I ever touched a cat! And then I saw... Hey, where is everyone?" Turning around, she waved her hand and yelled out, "Over here Saki!"
  20. "Hey! don't you know been has only two 'e's?" the boy who had been chased by Saki said before the girl could reply. Confusion came over Misaki's features. ... What? "Don't mind me just..carry on with your girlfriend." He then said to the D&G boy (who's name she still didn't know). He glared. "I'll have you know that is this barbaric creature is not my girlfriend," he replied. She heard a crackle of electricity. "I suppose you are too prestigious to hold any manners. Don't worry, if you use your money right you'll be able get a psychologist," the annoying boy (who's name she also didn't know but did not care to know) said darkly. D&G boy seemed angrier now. "Is that a threat? expect a formal filed complaint you, you disgusting vile-" "I can only suppose your mother taught you such words to address her like that." "Don't talk about my mother, filth." "She was filth?" He shot back, using the boy's own words. "Now now," the orange haired girl said, stepping in. "If the both of you don' shut the hell up," She smashed a fist into an open palm and crackled her knuckles. Well this is going to turn to violence soon. "Guys-" Misaki started, putting herself between everyone. However, before she could finish, a young man appeared. "I was hearing some very loud noises all day, and I come here and realize you five were the source. I see you intend to cause trouble on the very first day." He brushed his blue hair, then stared coldly at the five students. A shiver went down her spine. "I believe you understand what this means? I want you present in my chambers before dinner. I would like a word with all of you, and we will discuss disciplinary measures then." The young man began to walk away, then stopped. "And before you consider doing so, don't 'ditch' this appointment. Otherwise, I do predict that you will have," he paused, turned around and waved his hand. Frost began to gather in the room. The temperature of the air began to fall. "A very chilly reception to Gretchen High." The man then walked away and was gone. The five stood in silence. Misaki's eyes glanced at the frost that had gathered in the area. Ice magic. Quite rare. Wanting to break the silence, she spoke. "So... Miss," she said as she turned to the orange haired girl. "Do you still want to know where the cafeteria is? Saki and I can show you if you'd like."
  21. "Yeah." The girl gave a lopsided grin and glanced around the courtyard. "I was wonderin' if there was a place to get some food around here? There didn't seem to be a cafeteria or nothin'." Before she could start, she saw a boy angrily storm up behind the other girl and start to tap his foot incessantly. Maybe he wants to talk to her? I should be quick then. "Well," she started, "to get to the cafeteria you should-" Before she could finish, the boy spun the other girl around and yelled, "You... You imbecile! How dare you taint my flawless skin? Do you know how much money I spend on lotion for my digits? It's D&G lotion for God's sake...D&G! I'm completely certain that you'd be so neck deep in debt if I made you pay for what you've done, you won't even be able to fathom it. Expect to see a filed formal complaint against you, you flagrant and insolent excuse for a young lady!" He looked angrily at her, but all she did was give a grin and pat him on the shoulders like one would a child, an act Misaki could see bothered him. "Listen, I don't know what a D&G is, and I don't think I care about your dainty little 'digits.' If ya hadn't slammed the door in my face I might not have zapped ya. Plus I've already made two enemies and I'm hungry, so I ain't in the best mood. I'd say sorry, but then again I don't take well to bein' called insolent. Or a young lady for that matter." Keeping her hand on his shoulder, she added, "If you wash your hands and put on a burn cream, they should be fine." The orange-haired tomboy held her hands out palm-up, showing of an array of faded pink scars and the fresh one from that morning's flame problem. "This is after usin' the bargain stuff, so your D&G whatever should do the trick." She glanced at Misaki before letting out a sigh. Suddenly, another boy swung onto the stairwell, using the railing as support. The girl used the railing to to swing herself around, but unlike the boy tripped over the first step. As she fell, arms flailing, Misaki saw her face. What the...?! Saki grabbed the collar of the boy and took him down with her, coming at the three of them fast. Misaki, not wanting the girl to hurt herself too badly, stepped in front of the others and held out her arms to catch the falling girl. Her thin stature didn't do much though as she ended up falling over as well, landing on top of someone. Well at least I cushioned her fall... The girl scrambled to her feet, only to fall again. "Sorry," she shouted at the top of her lungs, snatching the pen she'd lost from the ground and scooting back a few feet. Seeing how Misaki had been trying to find her, she pouted as she got up from the group, "Saki! Where have you beeen? I've been trying to get in touch with you all day!"
  22. Misaki summoned a breeze to cool her off as she walked out of the practice center, feeling hot due to playing with fire for the past hour. She knew that using magic unauthorized was wrong, but just a little breeze wouldn't hurt anyone, right? Making her way through the campus, she checked her phone. Wonder if she's here yet... Haven't heard from her... After sending her a quick text, the girl made her way into the upcoming building. She was rather hungry from all the hard work she did, but wanted to drop her things off first so she wouldn't have to carry all of it. As she made her way up the flight of stairs, she noticed an orange haired girl, sitting on the steps as if she was waiting for something or someone. Maybe she's lost? Misaki stopped a few steps from where the girl was sitting and asked, "Do you need any help?"
  23. Misaki had been walking around for an hour when she came across the school's magic practice center. Here, students could come practice their skills in a safe environment. Curious as to see what was going on, she entered the building. She walked down the corridor, watching students use the elements however they wished through small windows in the door. While doing so, she noticed that there was a small picture of whatever element was being used in the room. I guess they only want certain elements in certain rooms so that way it's easier to equip rooms with what they need. The girl stopped in front of a door with a small flame drawn onto it. From the green light above, she could tell that the room was empty. Well, might as well practice fire... I still need to learn how to control it better. With that thought in mind, she punched her ID number into the door's number pad, waiting for the small buzz to ring out before opening the door and entering. The room itself was pretty big. There wasn't much in the room, just a chair off to the side, a window, a small firepit in the center of the room and a button next to the door. The button confused for her for a second, but when she looked up and saw the sprinkler system it made more sense. Very smart. Misaki got out her notes on fire magic, carelessly throwing her bag onto the chair while she quickly went over what she needed to do as well as what she needed to work on, before carelessly throwing the notebook on the ground as well. I should light the fire and start off with just basic fire controlling before moving on to more difficult things. So she took the lighter provided by the center, lit the fire and began.
  24. Misaki strolled onto the premises of Gretchen High, a smile on her face. Finally! Joining the best of the best! It had been several months ago, but it felt like only yesterday that she had received the letter from the prestigious magic school to join their student body. Remembering the looks of pure joy on her parents faces that day as she passed one of the statues of Ein made her grin even bigger. It didn't take her long to reach the headmaster's study since she had looked up a map of the school the week before and made sure to memorize the layout. As she laid her registration papers onto the desk, she noticed that another student's registration paper were a tad burnt around the edges. I wonder what happened there. She made her way back to the door when she noticed a book perched on a music stand. Revelations. Misaki knew she should pry into other people's stuff, especially the headmaster's things, but the curiosity was too much. A peek wouldn't hurt, now would it? Carefully, the girl lifted the cover open, reading the blood red words. It comes. The Spirits, led by their ringmaster. On the fated day, the whole world will become its circus. There is nothing we can do. Walpurgis Night is coming. She quickly closed it, suddenly feeling a chill run down her spine. "I should get going," she muttered quietly to herself as she hurried out of the study, the words still imprinted in her mind. ~~~ Bio:
