But I think that only works once you get into college or out of it since it's kinda awkward if your boyfriend/girlfriend is 10 years older than you and has a successful job while you're stuck in college... Age doesn't matter in love all the boys my age in my school are bleh. It just depends on whether it's true or not. Still, if Ai chose to remain a kid, Mitsuhiko would be my first choice for her. I'm putting this in one big spoiler, bit too long for my taste... Yes, Ai was granted the chance for a new life when she took APTX4869. I think that Mitsuhiko is intelligent and mature enough to have a good relationship with her as well as help her out of the darkness and into the light.
