Some food for thought before the new file: Wasnt the victim wearing some sort of a vest with a blood releasing contraption? It would be interesting if someone decided to hide in the victims room waiting for the moment when ai would purposely fall into their trap. Anyone ever consider why Ai decided to stop there in peticular? It would stand to reason that okiya spoke to her during the time they confronted on the train and explained something about what is happening on the train and probably said some quote that he told Ai's sister allowing her to confirm his identity. This is probably the moment they will show in some type of flashback and reveal some sort of character development for ai. I highly doubt okiya will reveal who he really is in front of everyone, especially the BO, but the only exception would be to allow her to put it together herself. Sera will probably end up waking up and ruin conans plan and ran somehow comes and helps in some capacity Overall this is exciting and will be interesting to watch. well, movie 5 was great in my opinion, and that had the BO. personally, I want a great jack the ripper like serial killer. It would make an interesting movie. Besides that I would just want a better mystery that takes more effort for Conan to solve and less detective boys for a change(except Ai)

It could have been the mere excitement of the rollercoaster that caused Kudo to be distracted. Even if the wind was blocked, with Ran holding his hand and him thinking about her would be enough to zone him out. We are assuming he was thinking about his surroundings the whole time. Remember the plane murder case? All it took was for Ran to fall asleep on his shoulder to be completely distracted. My guess is she moved quickly to pull that off in the first place and knew the ride well. What probably brought Kudo back from his thoughts was the cold wet teardrop that hit his face. However you guys bring up valid points. This murder trick was a bit sketchy

Thanks AJM and I agree with you about that the slack in the string was probably enough where they would ride over it with ease well, Conan didn't finish his deduction, it probably will continue next file revealing the past fire accident (which i suspect as arson) connection, motive, and a few missing links. Maybe that wheelchair lady is hiding something important an he wants to connect her with it. I have a feeling she knows more about the fire than she was letting on. As for the thing Vermouth planted, it seems to be a smoke screen, not sure what exactly see is planning yet except chaos and confusion.
