Would be cool if it was actually like they showed in the majority of the video, and they made special glasses for the game like Microsoft's HoloLens. Then we could see the pokémon as if they were actually there

Cool as that may be, the market for glasses of that kind is far too niche to justify the extra research and developmental costs, deeming the entire scenario unrealistic. On the other hand, nearly everyone has access to a smart phone.
