Think they possibly just wanted a chance to animate a Magic Kaito chapter, since the Clock Tower Heist wasn't officially a Detective Conan chapter. (and later became MK 2 chapters in volume 4) Honestly, I never understood why they teamed up the Clock Tower case with Twilight Mansion either.

After reading 760, I had to look up Kuruta Cards to see what they were playing. More information can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karuta It's a matching card game that's commonly played by children on New Years.

Not really DC news, but kinda amusing none the less. Gosho is appearing in the 9th season of a police drama show, 'Aibou'. He'll be a lab tech in a crime lab. It'll be premièring on 9pm on New Year's Day. Source: Websunday.net

Yeah, the art style doesn't quite match up with the 'official' Detective Conan art or the Magic Kaito Special art styles. The facial proportions and angles are off quite a bit as well, take a look at Toichi's face. I'm leaning towards it's fanart as well, but lemme see what I can find. Edit: Japanese Wiki, Anime News Network and Asa-search do not list any new Kaitou Kid appearances, nor any new Detective Conan ovas. The latest Detective Conan news on Websunday's page is that Gosho is making an appearance in a live action series 'Aibou' (相棒) on New Year's day. -Aibou is a police drama, and he's appearing as a tech in a crime lab.

Manga. I can read 2-4 files in the time it takes to watch an episode. Also, it's easier for me to grab the book off the shelf and flip through the pages when I'm trying to remember a fact for something than it is to fast-forward through the anime. -The exception to this being the movies. ^^;;

Howard's estate actually trademarked the name 'Conan', you can't use it as a TV show name (unless you're Conan O'Brien and it's your real name) The last time I talked to Funi people, they were working with the Howard Estate and had gotten permission to say 'Detective Conan showing on Case Closed' on the DVD cases. And guys, I really apologise for the keyclicks, I didn't know that they'd be louder than my voice. Really really sorry about that. No, I am not. Although you might recognise my icon, it's been my default since 2003, one of the mods there uses it without permission. He's stated he'll take it down if I join DCTP and request him personally that he take it down. So... yeah... No.

Yeah, Conan lives in Comic Book Time. However, if you want to be logical about it, Kosagi no Legion once marked out a timeline based on the seasons that are drawn in the background and discovered that literally a decade had gone by. Gosho is also quoted as stating he draws what ever season is outside his window. In volume 62 files 5-10, 'The Return' story arc, (Case #188) the case they're revisiting in Okuho-cho is one of the last ones he had before he was shrunk, 'a year ago'. Calculating in that in the manga alone, he's done over 220 cases, that's 3-4 cases a week! He'd never have time for school, much less anything else!

I'll be volunteering at Con-Nichiwa again this year (Last year, we had a Conan skipping around, his Kid wasn't able to make it) and possibly the Phoenix Comiccon this year as well. I don't know for sure yet on that one.

Strangely enough, not a Kaitou Kid case. Volume 44, chapter 02, File 448. Part of the 'Demon at Koushien' When Inao jumps into the bull pen to catch Nagashima's ball, to keep him from scoring and almost flattens Yutaka. ^__^
