Well there's no real definite explanation on how to get out of one's "shell". You just gotta want to. The first step in change is to want to change. When I have a conversation, I just make sure to listen to every detail because later in the future when you bring it up he'll be surprised guys want to be listened to just as much as girls. ...well I hoped that helped i'm not very good at giving advice ^ ^;;...so don't get mad if this sounds weird
