Funny != good. Nor is it reason not to hate it. It wasn't even bad funny, it was just bad... To me there were more reasons to hate it than like it. Read my earlier posts to find out why <3 Namely: post 1 and post 2. See when something is funny, I don't think it should be aggravating or anything... I do recall laughing twice and snickering maybe once. I laughed when Conan was defenestrated, and at the very end. I snickered when they were on the ground. That isn't really funny really. Conan movies aren't really intended to be funny, or at least they shouldn't be. They should strive to be engaging and interesting. Its a detective show, the main goal should be to get you to think, not laugh. So either way it was a failure of a movie, even if it was funny (which it wasn't imo). Also... why do people insist on defending movies in a thread that is intended to point out what the worst conan movie is? If a person doesn't like a movie, defending it won't change anything to that person... If you like a certain movie, great, there is a topic for that... two in fact... "Favorite movie" and "Vote your Favorite Movie." Talk about how great M14 is there, while the rest of us who didn't like it discuss why it is bad here.2 points

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters of DC/MK. The idea of parallel universes belongs to CLAMP. Chelsea owns herself. I am nobody. Insanity is mutual. P.S.—this takes place in Chapter 7 of Into the World of Detective Conan Part 2 A/N: I swear I wrote this under the influence of Chelsea’s spell! So don’t kill me, okay? And if it sucks, then I’m so sorry. … Evening is the most silent part of the day. At night, everything comes to a standstill. Shops close and workers head home as everyone gets ready to rest. An hour before midnight in the city of Ekoda, not a sound was heard. The goddess of the night had sprinkled sweet sleep on everyone’s eyelids. All was tranquil and serene. In the sky, the moon and billions of glittering stars shone down on the peaceful city. Police officers doomed to the graveyard shift were able to relax. Nothing eventful would take place that night, they assured themselves. They were wrong. “OHOHOHOHO!!! I am the most beautiful and most powerful witch in this country. No one will ever defeat me! Every last person on Earth will be my slave!” Akako laughed insanely. She was seated on her throne, observing her reflection in the mirror. Yes, she was vain, but she had every right to be so. She stopped and frowned. “Except the Kaitou KID,” she hissed through gritted teeth. “Excuse me, Mistress, but don’t you remember the prophecy?” her servant interrupted. “What prophecy?” she snapped at the poor old man. “There is a prophecy that you will only gain the power to control everyone’s heart if a certain girl from another world comes to your aid,” he continued meekly. “Oh? Someone from a parallel universe?” She flipped back her long magenta hair and crossed her arms. “Mirror, mirror, on the wall, show me the face of this girl!” the witch commanded at once. The face of a fourteen-year-old about five feet in height, with shoulder-length black hair and slightly tan skin appeared. So this girl is the key to my plan. All I need to do is bring her here. I will need a spell to transport a person from another world. “Servant! Fetch me my spell book!” “Yes, Mistress,” he complied immediately. A minute later, he returned with the book. Lurching forward, he handed it to her. She grabbed it without the slightest gesture of gratitude. “You slowpoke! What took you so long?” she berated him. She ran her finger down several pages until she found the right spell. “Here it is.” She recited several phrases in an incomprehensible language--probably Greek, Latin, or Arabic. “Did the spell work, Mistress?” her servant inquired with fear and trembling. “How dare you ask that! Koizumi Akako’s spells never fail! However, summoning a person from another dimension requires an immense amount of power. There is a great possibility for her to land elsewhere in Japan.” Her servant dragged himself forward and stared at the reflection. “What will you do if that happens?” he asked with slight hesitation. “Hmm…I will have to put a mark on her so I can recognize her immediately.” Flipping over several leaves, she searched for the appropriate spell. After reciting several phrases from the book she reclined back on her throne and smirked wickedly. “OHOHOHOHOHO! The key which can unlock Kaito’s heart will be mine at last!” oOo The next morning, Chelsea awoke with a start. She was shivering. She curled up and hugged herself to keep warm. Stretching her arms, she rolled her eyes around the room and pushed herself up in bed. Only she wasn’t in bed. And this wasn’t her bedroom, either. Huh? She scanned her surroundings, visibly confused. Something was not right. There were skyscrapers and huge buildings on all sides, and people were walking back and forth. Still unable to grasp the situation, she rubbed her eyes, thinking she was dreaming. Then a pungent odor forced her to cover her nose. Then it hit her. “Oh great! What are that chances of waking up on the street beside a garbage bin?” she said aloud. A sleek black cat hissed fiercely at her. Why am I here? Did Conan and Kaito plot to kick me out of the house in the middle of the night? Or did something awful happen? She began to panic. Oh, I hope everyone’s alright! She quickened her pace. Then again, I think I just set the record for sleepwalking. On her way to Shinichi’s house, a seven-year-old girl dressed in pink accidentally bumped into her. “Oops! Sorry!” Ayumi apologized. “No, it’s my fault,” Chelsea countered. “Where are you going in such a hurry, Ayumi-chan?” “Eh? How did you know my name? Have we met before?” Ayumi asked with a puzzled look. Before Chelsea could reply, Genta waved to Ayumi. “Oy, Ayumi! Hurry up so we can play games at Hakase’s!” he shouted. “Coming, Genta-kun! Excuse me, but I have to go!” she said and skipped away. “Hey, wait!” Bewildered, Chelsea reached forward, but the kids had already rounded the corner. She decided to follow them to Professor Agasa’s house with one thought in mind: something was definitely wrong. The three kids knocked on the door and marched in gaily. Before the door slammed shut, she barged inside, startling everyone. “Where’s Conan-kun?” she demanded. Conan stood up. “I’m here.” “Oh, good. Now, would kindly explain WHY I ended up on the street this morning?” “Huh? I don’t understand what you’re saying. Do I know you?” Chelsea deadpanned. “Is this a prank? Well stop joking around, ‘cause I don’t like it. Of course you know who I am!” Conan thought for a moment, and then turned to the Professor. “Do you know her?” he asked perplexedly. Professor Agasa rubbed his chin in an attempt to recall anything about the stranger. Finally, he shook his head and shrugged. “It’s the truth! I’m telling you, my name’s Chelsea. I’m from another world. And in you world I’m called Edogawa Miyuki. I’m supposed to be your sister, remember?” Apparently none of this registered in Conan’s mind. He stared blankly at her. “Uh, I think you must be mistaken, Miss. I’ve never met you before.” “We’re supposed to defeat the Black Organization together, remember? The Boss blackmailed us, threatening to kill our friends if we don’t cooperate. My codename is Midori and yours is Riesling,” she continued, almost desperately. Conan’s eyes widened in shock. He pulled her aside so the kids wouldn’t hear their conversation. “How do you know about those black crows? Just who are you?” he said in a slight whisper. “I’m Chelsea! Why can’t you remember who I am?” Conan shook his head. “The name doesn’t ring a bell. Let me add that I have photographic memory.” “You know KID’s real identity! And you confessed your secret to Ran!” she protested vehemently. “You—know who I am? Then you must be a member of the Black Org. But…” He stared at her as if she were out of her mind. “Why would I tell Ran the truth about who I am?” “But you did!” she insisted. Conan eyed her suspiciously. “Chelsea-san, I don’t know who you are, but stay away from my friends. I don’t want them to be involved in my problem. And if you turn out to be a spy of those Men in Black, I will surely bring you down,” he warned. “But--” “Hakase, what was she talking about? What’s the Black Organization?” inquired Mitsuhiko. “Yeah, I want to know, too! If it’s a case, then it’s not fair if only Conan knows about it!” pleaded Genta. Professor Agasa cleared his throat. “If you won’t mind, we’re a little busy here.” He kindly opened the door and led her out. “Sorry, but we can’t help you. But have a good day!” “A good day?” Chelsea repeated sarcastically as the door was shut. “This has to be the worst day of my life!” Back inside, the children voiced their opinions about her. “She must be an otaku,” guessed Mitsuhiko. “One of my cousins is an otaku,” volunteered Ayumi. “I have a cousin who calls me names from manga characters. One day I’m the cat from Pokemon; the next, I’m the bully from Doraemon, then I’m the raccoon from Inuyasha, and finally, the panda in Ranma ½!” shared Genta. “Your cousin should be checked by a doctor,” advised Ayumi. “I wonder why there are people like that?” Chelsea listened to their conversation from the outside. You…are getting on my nerves… A low growl in her stomach reminded her that she was hungry. She dug into her pockets but could find no money. Wait. Why am I wearing a yukata? She checked her reflection on a car mirror and gasped, stunned by what she saw. “AND WHY IS MY HAIR DYED BLUE WITH ORANGE STRIPES?!!” she screamed, then facepalmed. No wonder those kids think I’m crazy! I got to rinse this off. She looked around. People were staring at her, making her face redden. Losing no time, she dashed to find a public restroom. Twenty minutes later, the dye still wouldn’t come off. “What is this stuff?” she whined, beginning to panic again. I’m hungry and alone; all my friends are suddenly acting like I’m an alien from another galaxy, and I don’t have a single cent. What am I supposed to do now? An idea popped into her head: she could ask her classmates for help—if they even remembered who she was. She rushed to her school, but to her complete surprise, the building was gone. Panting for breath, she leaned on a post. Nailed to it was a sign that said: Transferred to Ekoda. “I wish I were in Ekoda now,” she murmured aloud. Instantly, dark smoke swirled around her and in the blink of an eye, she found herself in a different location. What happened? Did I just teleport myself? she thought, speechless. oOo Akako was sitting in class, going through her usual routine at Ekoda High when she suddenly felt a strange aura. An unfamiliar presence was in the vicinity. A wicked smirk showed on her face. Kaito drummed his fingers on his desk as Hakuba stared fixedly at him. Several girls were busy gossiping in their seats and the teacher went on with her lecture as though nothing had happened. My guest, she glanced out the window and saw a raven perched outside, has arrived. ... Does anyone want to bash me? Well please do it. I won't mind cause I know that I suck. But Chelsea's awesome! So, perhaps someone could leave a review, and I'll upload the next chapter soon.1 point

Well this is my first one shot made in english, you know my english is very bad TAT so sorry for the mistakes and i hope you enjoy it ^^ Never Forget It was a cold night, it was raining, the dead body of Ai Haibara was on the floor of the abandoned building were the final battle against that dark organitation was held. It was all cold and dark, Ayumi couldn't stop crying, Mitsuhiko was shaking Ai's dead body while shouting"Haibara-san, Haibara-san" They couldn't do nothing, they were alone, the battle has ended but it was the end for Haibara too, even if the police had arrived at the moment it was the end for her, Ayumi's couldn't stop crying and Mitsuhiko was about to shock -This can't be happening-said Mitsuhiko while shaking- If only Conan were with us a few minutes ago...Haibara...now wouldn't be....-Mitsuhiko couldn't resist more, and started crying. ----------------------------------------------------------------- 12 years later Haibara woke up suddendly, she was in a completely white room, lying into a bed. "What am i doing in a hospital" thought Haibara, then she remembered it all the final battle against the Black Organitation, and that strange man shooting her. "Oh..it's true so that happened" She looked at herself she was taller and her hair grew a lot, she looked like Shiho Miyano again, the only difference was her blond long hair. Haibara looked around the room, she saw a teenager sleeping in a chair, he looked simmilar to someone he knew, but she couldn't say who. Suddendly the door opened, a doctor entered to the room: -Haibara? so...you...It's a miracle! Haibara looked surprised to the doctor, he checked her for see if something was wrong, but surprisingly she was in perfect conditions. -So...Nanjo-san, what happened to me?i only remember...being shooted by someone...after that everything turned so..blurry... The doctor looked at Haibara. -Well, we don't know what exactly happened to you, your head was hit and after that your friends came here while you were bleeding-the doctor made a big stop while looking to Ai seriously- Haibara, you have been into a coma for 12 years Haibara was in shock now, 12 years have passed while she was sleeping, yes, she looked different, but she didn't thought she was going to be 18 years old again. He looked again at the boy who was sleeping in the chair, maybe he could explain her something -Who is him, doctor?- She was afraid for the answer she would get, maybe he was a BO member that was waiting her to awake for killing her with his own hands The doctor smiled politely -He is Tsubaraya Mitsuhiko, Do you remember him, right?-He said while smiling Haibara looked surprised, Was that boy Mitsuhiko? He looked like him but at the same time he was different, he wasn't that thin now and he had longer hair, and the most importamnt thing is that Mitsuhiko hadn't forgot her -Yes, of course, What's he doing here? The doctor smiled again -Isn't it obvious? He is waiting you to awake, he has been here since your accident, he only went out of the hospital for going to the university, he even sleeps here, its parents and her sister wanted to forbid him to stay here but he never listen to them. He has been a good help for us, He is always helping me on your daily checking and now is studying for be a neurologist, he said that he wanted to heal you if you didn't awake Haibara was in shock again, Tsubaraya-kun has sacrificied his childhood and adolescense helping her, and he would have sacrificied his own entire life trying to heal her if she didn't recover. The doctor stood up -Well, i leave you alone, i'm sure you have lots of things to talk about, oh, the Kudo family will visit you later, i'm sure Ran and Shinichi would be very happy of your recovering Shinichi and Ran married? She was happy for Ran, a little sad because he liked Kudo before, it was good that all those feelings disappeared at the end, it was bad she couldn't see the wedding -Tsubaraya-kun-said Haibara Mitsuhiko was deeply asleep and he couldn't hear her. Haibara got out of the bed and walked to Mitsuhiko, She bend down and when her lips were going to touch Mitsuhiko's ear she smiled and said: -Tsubaraya-kun... Mitsuhiko woke up loudly -HAIBARA-SAN!? Is it really you- said after he started hugging her while crying The tears couldn't stop falling from Mitsuhiko's face, he was very happy, the smile that had 12 years ago appeared once again in his face. -Tsubaraya-kun, don't worry is fine, i'm here now...-said Haibara with a happily and separating from Mitsuhiko When they calmed down Mitsuhiko started telling her about everything that happened those years, the epic battle against BO, Ran and Shinichi's wedding, Kazuha and Heiji's wedding, Genta becoming a famous chef and Ayumi becoming the new idol or Agasa and Fusae having a kid -I'm very happy, Tsubaraya-kun-said Haibara with a splendid smile -Of course, now you recovered, the BO has been destroyered and everyone is happy Ayumis is a idol, Kazuha and...-Haibara put a finger on Mitsuhiko's lips -Shh, It's not because of those things you said....it's because now i can do this- Haibara got closer to Mitsuhiko and kissed him passionately Mitsuhiko's head was all red, and Haibara's eyes were closed. -Mitsuhiko-kun, thank you very much for everything Mitsuhiko was blushing and he didn't know how to react -You-you're welcome Haiba...-Haibara stopped him suddendly -Ai-she said END I hope you enjoyed it and for the ones that didn't get this: Haibara she could kiss him without feeling guilty because they were at the same age mentally and phisically (remmber Ai has been 12 years into a coma) so they're both 18 see? MitsuAi is possible ^^1 point

irst, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but this would be the closest match. I just did this out of boredom since I was abstaining from surfing the Internet because it was Holy Week, and I got tired of playing computer games during my abstinence. I used VLC media player for taking snapshots (since pressing "Print Screen" on the keyboard doesn't work), and Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 to edit and organize the snapshots, and add text. I just got all of the snapshots from Episode 3. It took me about 2 to 2 1/2 hours to do this. Comment me whatever you could say about it, and on any improvement/s I could make. Comments, whether positive or negative, are welcome. Anyway, here is my fan work. Hope you all like it: (To Maurice: Can I place this on my signature? I'm not sure if I can place this there because it consumes a lot of space. So that's why I'm asking you)1 point

Ok with Kyuu. It annoys me when people defend something only because it's 'funny'. Movie 14 had the most crappy case of them all (if you can even call that a case) with worthless, overused and repetitive action scenes to gain some time and justify the ticket price. The fanservice was omnipresent to the point where it made me want to puke, and the few scenes that tried to be funny mostly failed because the jokes were lame and aimed at 5 year-olds (hahaha, Conan is tickling Kid's 'you know what', that's so hilarious...NOT !). The end of the story made no-sense whatsoever (god that blimp scene was terrble) and the final scene almost lead to facepalming becoming an olympic sport.1 point

^Same here. I like you, Lissie-chan. +1 for you This thread sounds like it's turning into a KTPT vs Aeyra debate Lesson learned: never dare argue with a fanfiction writer, especially one as great as Aeyra There is nothing I'm begging for more in this world than for someone to write an awesome KaixFem!Shin story. If someone does, then I can die happily.(I do wish you'd write one, please~~ <3) I've lost count of how many times I've nearly cried because a certain KaiShin fic I loved wasn't genderbent. I do think that gays should be treated like normal human beings (Question is: how do you normally treat a human being?). If we have prejudices, if we judge them (hey, most people do), we shouldn't treat them as outcasts. Treat all human beings as human beings, whether they are criminals, cannibals, or whatever else. Period. [i do suggest taking extra caution around cannibals ] How I treat a person depends on his character; I don't care so much whether he's gay or lesbian, as long as he proves himself to be respectable and honorable. It's his character and his principles that count. In some cases, gays can be more normal than straight guys. I do not in any way encourage homosexuality; however I do accept homos as people with rights to life, liberty, etc. I don't think we should say that they were born that way; I believe that lots of factors come into play in a person's development. The environment plays a huge role in molding a person's character in the future. (Go ask Vygotsky, LOL) For some reason, they turned out that way, and there's nothing we can do about it. We will always have different opinions on this matter, so I'm not asking or encouraging anyone to take either side. So if we don't like them or approve of them? We simply have to love them. [Hey, don't get me wrong ] Oops, I think I turned this into a rant already. Sorrrrrry!!!1 point

He's had failures. Getting shot on the rooftop by Conan was a minor one, because he failed to consider Sherry had an assistant, which is the most likely rational explanation for how Sherry escaped the cell in the first place. From Gin's perspective, Vodka had to hold off the mysterious guy (Shinichi) because neither Org member had any idea of how many shots he had. Then of course there was Akai's hello in Org vs. FBI. Gin ran away from that fight. Akai's fake death is going to be a serious blunder on his part, regardless of who you think Akai is at the moment. The Black Org as a whole has the exact opposite problem of the one you claim them to have. They get their arses handed to them most times they appear and basically Gosho has to work overtime to make them not appear weak. Black Org failures include: their bombs stopped, they lost their 10 billion yen, Sherry escapes and Gin and Vodka can't do anything about it because Gin has to take out Pisco who got caught, they don't get any data from Itakura's CD, Vermouth gets messed up and almost captured and Calvados commits suicide, the boss's number gets uncovered, their assassination gets thwarted, Kir gets captured, and Gin acquires some internal bleeding courtesy of Akai, their agent who finds Kir has to commit suicide, and Akai, Kir, and Conan basically completely manipulate them with their plan to return Rena and fake Akai's death. You could complain the situations they get in always allow a somewhat dignified path of retreat that preserves some of their appearance of danger, but the truth is they fail. A lot. I don't think money is the primary reason why Gosho is continuing. He is a well regarded writer; if he was truly burned out or out of ideas, he could write something else and still get a good contract. He said in an interview that it's especially hard to write the BO chapters. They are even more work because they are going to be microanalyzed by the readers too, so no mistakes or contradictions with prior or future material are acceptable. By dealing with the BO in chunks at a time (which naturally means they are going to be spaced out) rather than evenly spread, he is setting up the structure of the plot so that it is less likely to run into problems. Dealing with the BO in chunks also means that he has more "free" cases that he doesn't have to force into the overarching plotline which gives him extra flexibility to use a greater variety of tricks and settings. Personally I like it when more of the weekly cases tie in with the greater plot, but I can understand why it is easier to write when you aren't forcing a case. I agree that it's always been about the weekly cases from the start, not the BO; however saying that "He wants to end the BO stuff." makes no sense. It's the overarching plotline that ties together the series. Getting rid of it destroys the direction of the series: Conan defeating the guys who shrunk him so he can get his body back and return to the light with a better personality. I think the root of the problem here is that plot cases have been a lot more spaced out in the Bourbon arc than they have been since the start of the Vermouth arc, and people don't like that.1 point
