  1. That's almost right. I pay for the domain, the hosting company, the increase in bandwidth (the site is getting more and more popular and requires more and more bandwidth to accommodate the traffic! We currently reach about 200K visits per month , which is a HUGE increase from our starting point 2 years ago, and even compared to one year ago when it was around 20-30K). I also pay for a separate server for the database to increase performance. I even paid for some advertising in the past, etc... Anyway, I won't tell everything here and give out too much information but let's just say that pretty much everything comes out of my pocket for now and donations do help out whenever they come by. Fortunately I have a job and I can pay the bills without any problems for now. As long as the site doesn't become as popular as Facebook, it should be ok. But it's true that donations could really help. Thanks again to our donators btw! I really appreciate the support. It's always great to see when people appreciate what's being done, not only by myself, but by the whole community with their amazing and exceptional contributions in all areas!

  4. Inspector Gray rubbed his eyes again. Being away from home often, he came home to find at least twenty issues stacked on his desk. "Is this for real?" Gray sighed. He read out the header, "Young Terrorist Arrested!" Then he began to read the story. Mark XXXXX was arrested last night. A well known terrorist that has been attacking civilians with a group of his amateur accomplices, he is responsible for the deaths of at least 500 people. The federal court will make their verdict tomorrow, at 8 AM. Or that was the gist of the story. Gray always had a habit for shortening and summarizing stories while reading them out loud. Of course, Gray noticed the date on the newspaper was the day before. He immediately got out an antique laptop, huge, overhating, but functional, and searched on the Internet. The results were grim. According to at least 5 sources, Mark plead guilty to the deaths and other numerous terrorism charges. "All charges made against me are true. I plead Guilty, Your Honor." He was given the death sentence, and was executed later that day. Gray immediately got out of the house, his coat and hat barely clinging to his form. "I just never get rest in this job."

  5. *smirks* Alright. This may not be going according to plan (like anything ever did ) but we'll manage. ------ IdentityUnknown walked out of the FBI building with her belongings, both in unease and in fury. They loaded the van and drove off. Meanwhile, a few stories above, John stood at the window, gazing at the departing van. "You let them leave." John shrugged. "I respect only those who resist me, but I cannot tolerate them," he quoted. "They would've been useful." John smirked. "I'm not in the FBI for nothing, Sarah. Do you honestly think they'd get away so easily?" *** IdentityUnknown had Monsi pull over after they were a few miles from the FBI HQ. Then she had the entire van searched for bugs. She didn't trust the FBI and she wasn't going to let them be caught unawares. Sam, Grace, and William stood to the side. They had discussed leaving with IdentityUnknown on the van and IdentityUnknown had been preparing to ask Monsi to drop them off at the nearest subway. She herself knew New York fairly well and they would get through the streets quite efficiently. "There aren't any bugs," Aeyra called. IdentityUnknown found that odd. It wasn't like the FBI and it certainly didn't seem like John to let them go so easily... "Oh, that's because I cleaned 'em out before we got on," Nero said lazily, smirking slightly. "Just thinking ahead." ...Sometimes Nero never failed to amaze her. They dropped Sam, Grace, and William off at the subway and after wishing them well, they went off. Nero had his laptop out (it had 24/7 high-speed internet privileges wherever it went) and was doing something online. He'd given a small chip for all of them to insert into any computer and now they all had internet access, a privilege that IdentityUnknown took full advantage of. Sighing, she decided to do a little research. The FBI were probably attempting to track them and she personally wasn't interested in getting stopped. The FBI would simply use them since they themselves had nothing to offer. She plugged in her earphones and started typing. ------ Setting the scene again.

  6. Yay! Nice addition Pyre!! I'll add on in... half an hour or so. Aeyra let out a small sigh of relief- she was still extremely tense of course, but at least she wasn't the only one who didn't trust this strange 'John' character. However, she knew that good guy or not, he was still dangerous (who wasn't), and challenging his authority while they were in his 'house' so to speak was a potentially threatening situation. "You take your team out?" John chuckled unpleasantly. "Now, now, you were the ones searching for us! If you withdraw, we withdraw all protection of you, we kick you out, and you'll be left on your own again. You came for a reason, didn't you?" Pyre began to open her mouth to protest, but Nero stood up, walking straight up to John unflinchingly, green eyes frozen, cold enough to freeze over a desert. "We won't be on our own thank you very much. There are more of us than you would possibly care to believe." Narrowing his eyes, John frowned. If he called Nero childish, it would be obvious who the true fool was. You could see exactly how ccontrolled Nero's sealed fury was, how calm yet fierce his tone, how much older he sounded. Nero, even at fifteen, was far from a child. But it couldn't hurt (too much) to try and undermine the prodigy. "How do I know this isn't a ploy? How would you even get more members into this pitiful ragtag team of yours?" Nero didn't back off, instead, he took another step forward, staring straight up into John's glinting marine eyes. "I don't lie. Not when it's important. And I have methods, better methods than any of you FBI lot. And don't you dare call them pitiful. They've gotten through everything without your help fine. Thanks for the breakfast and all, but I think we'll be leaving." "Are you so sure you want to leave?" challenged John, looking huge next to the wiry, slightly short blond teen. "What do they think?" "I don't think I trust you," said Aeyra with all the strength she could muster. "And I think Nero's right. We can do everything fine without you- what were we expecting from an organization who hasn't gotten close to destroying that syndicate? We've managed things. Now they no longer have an heir or the top component of their elite force. We've weakened them considerably. What have you done?" Chaos stretched, and got out of his chair, grabbing Nero's wrist. "If we're going to leave, you'd probably get further walking away than standing like an angry statue," muttered Chaos, starting to drag Nero away. The blond boy reluctantly complied, and gave one last dirty stare to the man before turning around completely. I might be a good guy now, but I still can't help but wish I could have wringed his neck before we came here... Fucking sorry excuse for an FBI agent, seethed Nero silently, everybody following in his and Chaos's wake. He's going on the top of my 'Want to Kill and Rip into as Many Pieces as Possible' list... But on the bright side, looks like I managed to steal his credit card. Nero smirked as the rectangular piece of plastic cut into his leg. He won't even miss the stupid thing... This is going to be fun. ****** Okay, we left. I was starting to hate John for real...

  7. +1 Romance doesn't adapt itself very well to the long-running nature of DC, which is why it's now mostly annoying, ridiculous or both at the same time.

  8. Dear GUYS OF THE WORLD, WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT GIRLS: The most important and most private part of a girl is NOT her body BUT her HEART. She can give you all the kisses you want, all the hugs you want, and even climb into bed with you, but if she doesn't give her heart to you, you haven't won her yet. IF SHE EVER GAVE HER HEART TO YOU, TREASURE IT!!!!! If you don't, and BREAK HER HEART instead, You would have done something IRREPARABLE! Understand that. Thanks. Sincerely, Me, and girls of the world who thinks this way

  13. I think Nero would realize he probably has a tracker imbedded in his flesh... *personally finds this the most reasonable explanation* And I think if Pyre and Tsukiko came back they'd notice the ring of snipers and would hide... Whatever. I'll just write. ******* Nero smartly pulled a small handgun out of his pocket, knowing his miniscule weapon would be enough to deal with the amateur snipers. Why amateur? Because Nero had already found the bus's weak spot. As armored as the thing seemed, as impenetrable, as invincible, everything had it's Achilles Heel. He didn't bother mentioning it because there wouldn't be a way to fix it without possibly asphyxiating them all, but he had noticed the slightest gap between door and the bus itself. Tiny, but if aimed at correctly, could rip open a larger hole and eventually lead to destruction. Sure one could pump oxygen in but it would be too unsafe to depend on it. If it ever ran out and it was impossible to refill... He'd rather be shot in the head. Nope, he knew that hole had been left there on purpose, with vacuum-like tendencies as to suck in enough air. But the snipers simply didn't have his intelligence, or his intuition, or his aim. Nero swiftly dodged a bullet, relishing the rush of air as it brushed back a strand of his hair. Close, but not close enough. You weren't a good aim unless you hit your target. Weaving back and forth, cursing the pale blond locks that fell into his emerald green eyes, he drew his gun, caressing the smooth metal barrel with a stroke of his fingertip as he undid the safety. Closing his eye as if winking, his mouth curved into a frown and he took one shot at his shooter's head. He didn't even have to look back to know his victim was dead- Nero didn't miss. Ever. *********** Meanwhile, Brise and Krev were fighting right alongside together, having mutual feelings of trust that came from years of teamwork and experience. Brise was light in her feet, and from a simple flutter of her fingers against Krev's, she could signal to the boy where to step to avoid oncoming missiles, and he in turn, handled the heavy firepower- grenades- while she held a delicate looking pistol. Well, not so delicate looking if it was aimed right at the bridge of your nose. To them, the fighting was like a dance, they swayed together, like partners, depending on each other to do their part right, lest terrible fates await them. And they always performed well, flawlessly, as if they had rehearsed the moment countless times over, the careful twirling of their feet, the swift leaps, the synchronized, arrogant flicks of their hair as the sweat ticked down the strands. Neither dared voice their deep bond, fearing injuring Chaos with his burdensome memories, but their actions spoke louder than their words. Already it was as if they were one individual being- waltzing in gunfire and bloodlust. ******* Chaos fought alone, a powerful rifle in his hands as he took aim almost lazily, with a pompous air similar to that of a spoiled prince. He couldn't help but remember the moments he had spent on battlefields with Laela by his side, her presence alone giving him the courage and resolve to fight, for her life as well as his own. Her hair swishing through the air, reminding him of the wavy movement of snakes, catching the light and reflecting it in shades of golden-brown and bright caramel. The disgusted determination in her blue eyes, the ones that could burn with hot passion as well as freeze him to the bone with cold apathy. The eyes he had watched the light fade from, cool rain drops merging with her warm tears of pain and love, showing him more than words could ever say. He shook his head, distracted, trying to clear away the memories, happy and painful at the same time, like someone filling his heart with immeasurable joy while at the same time twisting a knife into it. By letting him see her clear as crystal, hear her laugh like tinkling bells, holding her just out of his reach, a cruel reminder that she was dead, that she'd never come back. Death. Something he'd never really come to terms with. To him, death was a robber, stealing lives as if they were gold, gleefully collecting them as people mourned their deceased loved ones. But now he could see that he was death, he was the wretched god wreaking his havoc on others, choosing who would live and who would die, able to decide at whim. Suddenly, he felt sick. The rifle fell from his hands. What if these people were someone else's Laela? Someone who another person would cry for, mourn and grieve, who would hunt him down as surely as he wanted to hunt down Mark. He couldn't do it- he knew the pain. He knew that Laela had been killed by the order of the Organization, and that these snipers were the Organization's just as much as Mark had been. The revelation however was enough to bring him to his knees, to bring burning tears to his eyes. Something like an arrow pierced his shoulder. He closed his eyes. In the distance, he heard someone call his name. ***** The caller is Nero for all concerned... And Chaos should be fine, just more disheveled than usual for the next few days, but somehow I don't think he'll be lashing out as much for the next few days either. Nobody kill Chaos, I adore him too much to even stand the thought of killing him. Even if he sacrifices himself. That ending is much too cliche and personally, he should keep living. But, that aside, how was my writing? Good? Bad? Lay it on me.

  14. No, Haibara shouldn't get arrested! I agree with Sayomi, Haibara might end up being a child and be with Mitsuhiko. As for Ran and Shinichi, I think Shinichi will confess again at the end of the series, in a direct manner, like "I love you Ran" or something *goes into ShinRan Dreamland!! <3* And then, they'll kiss OFCOURSE!!
