Miwa Oshima (大島 美和 Ōshima Miwa?) is a Japanese animation director and character designer from Tokyo. She does key animation, animation director, and sub-character designing in Detective Conan anime and movies. She is affiliated with Studio Live.

Works in Detective Conan

Oshima joined the production of the Detective Conan anime in 1997, starting with Sports Club Murder Case and did key animation for the anime. She was then promoted to do animation direction in the end of 1998, starting with the 1st part of A Mysterious Sniper Murder Case. She quit the anime production in 2000, after finishing the animation direction work for the 1st part of The Water Palace of Five Colors Legend. As an animator in general, she is known for her character design as well, in the Detective Conan anime, she also served as the sub-character design for a few cases, for example, The Night Before the Wedding Locked Room Case and Metropolitan Police Detective Love Story.

In 2017, Oshima returned to the anime production team, starting with the 2nd part of Conan and Heiji's Nue Legend. And she served as key animator, animation director, and assistant animation director for some anime episodes, until present.
