Detective Takagi and Chiba are investigating the robbery happened in Beika namely Takashi Shishido (a robber), stealing 30 million yen, but two hours ago, he died in a car accident. But the 30 million yen he stole was not yet found. Conan and Kogoro are happened to be each other and is running towards at Dongaraji Temple. So he followed him.

Takashi Shishido stole 30,000,000 from a bank and he's escaping.

He died after escaping.

While he's escaping, he died in a traffic accident, but the money he stole is not yet found.

Ryozen Adachi, the head priest, is hiring Kogoro to investigate the threat. Conan, who had been wandering at the city, he heard two women talking that a single person appeared one at a time. Conan said it is a interesting conversation, but the woman said that there is no interesting about it. The woman said that Toratani Eisuke (Father of Ginsuke and Kinta Toratani) meets the two women at one time. The woman said that he was at Nishiguchi Park, so he said that they mistook for Eisuke Toratani.

He recieved a threat from them.

Kogoro, who had also been investigating about the threat. The woman said that the two men were flustered when the construction is all about to began. So the two men made the phone threat. Kogoro meets Ginsuke and Kinta Toratani (sons of Eisuke Toratani), so they are wandering that why the detective is here. Kogoro and Conan are highly suspicious about them.Kogoro, back again to the two brothers saying that they killed his own father to get his pension, and they buried the body at Dongaraji Temple. And they found out that HE IS ALIVE! Also they are investigating again, Ginsuke and Kinta Toratani's father had Dementia. So he said that he found a man burying at Dongaraji Temple. But who did really send the threat at Dongaraji Temple, was it the two brothers or his father?

The witnesses were right about that, the two brothers who set it up just to get the money, not his father. They set it up to get the money from the robber who died from the accident, his father was walking into the temple and was there coincidencely and met with the robber before he died in the accident. The money was found in the tree at the temple. It was buried so that it won't be seen. The two brothers wanted it badly and they asked his father where did he bury it, but only he remembers about a tree in the temple. Also, they are guilty about the threat, so they were scolded by the head priest, and they were not prisoned, but doing construction work at the temple.
