Situation

Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are all walking and are very hungry, so they stop by at a restaurat that Kogoro frequently visits. There is construction work going on next door, so the restaurant constantly shakes from the work, causing spills and broken plates. Later that night, the owner of the restaurant is found dead, and the cause is death is at first deeemed an accident, as it is believed that a pot fell on his head.

Suspects: Reiko Hanaoka, Minoru Wada, Saki Yoshizawa, and Koichi Yamamoto

After a further investigation and stuns Kogoro and says that when the vase fell, Hanaoka was already dead. The culprit knew of their plan and used it to his own advantage. For their plan to succeed, Hanaoka must sit at the exact spot. That's why the real culprit chose a more reliable method. He approached Hanaoka from behind and, using the frozen sea bream hit him on the head. After the culprit killed Hanaoka, he rushed to return the sea bream to the refrigerator and removed the gloves, this is because the murderer had to go somewhere as fast as possible more specifically, to where Ran and Conan were, the video shop and declares the real culprit to be Saki Yoshizawa. The gloves wore by Yoshizawa has a red lipstick stain on the tip of a finger and its the same color as Saki worn yesterday. Since she was in a rush to get back, she wanted to removed the gloves as fast as possible.

Yoshizawa confesses and reveals twenty years ago, Hanaoka was a fisherman living on Hachijo Island there, he swore a girl named Aiko Morimura, to share their future together. But Hanaoka said that he wanted to study cooking, so he abandoned Aiko and left the island, Aiko sends him off in silence, not even telling him about her pregnancy, Aiko waited she gave birth to their child alone, and kept waiting Hanaoka's return while bringing up her child. Then, after waiting for so long, she died last spring. And reveals to be Aiko's daughter, Saki Morimura.
