The culprit is Monpei Kogure. He wanted to avenge Yoshikuwa. After case closed, Detective Takagi told Conan that Touhei Benzaki from the pickpocket case , there is a contradiction in bank robbery case, and the real Benzaki said that he does not remember he was involved in that pickpocket murder case and he is unmarried. Conan who is suspected that fake couple is Bourbon and Vermouth, rushed back to the Mouri Detective Agency in panic worried Haibara has been compromised.

Trivia

• The title for this case appears to be a reference to a 2011 Japanese hardboiled mystery film The Detective Is in the Bar (探偵はBARにいる), which is based on the eponymous novel written by Naomi Azusa. Incidentally, the protagonist for the aforementioned film and novel is the featured detective for Volume 81.

• The murder location Blue Parrot Pool Bar appears to be the billiards hall owned by Konosuke Jii a character from Magic Kaito. It’s name and appearance matches the one shown in the Magic Kaito Chapter Midnight Crow.
