The culprit is Shinya Kadokura. The reason is he was fooled with the investment that has taken away his house, wife and daughter while Zaizen was enriched because of that. Kadokura blames Kogoro because if he didn't arrive, the case hasn't been solved exactly at midnight.

In the post-credit, Kogoro is seen smashing the piggy bank again to find "valuable coins" while Ran says it won't and Conan is smiling, all three statements are put in word playing fashion.
