I wish they would make another episode, where Conan would return to his original form, and fight with Kid. Like episode 219.

if memory serves, that segment was a prologue... it took place before Shinichi was shrunk. I never quite figured out what it had to do with the actual case, except that they both involved clocks... but I think that if Shinichi was to do battle with KID as physical equals, it would take away some of the charm of their struggle

Think they possibly just wanted a chance to animate a Magic Kaito chapter, since the Clock Tower Heist wasn't officially a Detective Conan chapter. (and later became MK 2 chapters in volume 4)

My gut has ALWAYS told me that it was actually a pilot for a future Magic Kaito series, hence the fact that they even made sure to get someone like Keiko a scene or two.

That makes a lot of sense.

Still wish they'd continue the MK Special, at least 13 episodes.

It would certainly be interesting, but I think there would have to be an ending to the Magic Kaito series for there to be any interest from television networks for anything other than a one-off special.

It would tax the excitement...besides...Conan looks chasing Kid.

But, I'd like that to happen, too.
