PhantomThiefKid Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 are they worth watching? i know that they don't move the plot forward in any way at all. Are they kind of like filler episodes?
tengaku squared Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Most of the A.Os (anime originals) are pretty bad, with a few exceptions. I can't name the ones that are decent, but you'll miss nothing by skipping them.
PhantomThiefKid Posted February 28, 2012 Author Report Posted February 28, 2012 thanks, i started looking at the wiki and i didnt really see any T.V. originals that were good so im probably going to skip them
CarpetCrawler Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 There's quite a lot of AO-cases that I would definitely recommend having you view if you're not someone who is just there for the plot. And I certainly hope you're not one of those people.
MadelineLime Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 What about the people who just read the manga, Sandwich? Ehhhhhhh? There's plenty of non plot cases in the manga, and they get animated.
CarpetCrawler Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 What about the people who just read the manga, Sandwich? Ehhhhhhh? There's plenty of non plot cases in the manga, and they get animated. I think you're missing my point. I'm mostly talking about the people like Moho with the "most AO's are bad and ugh some are good but I don't even remember because ugh so many bad AO's" mindset. I think the "AO's are bad" argument is a little overblown and worn out at this point. They've been bad lately, yes. But to say that "most AO's are bad" tells me that someone apparently has either forgotten about the first 300 episodes of the series, in which the AO's were most often a mix of good outweighing the bad, or is trying to generalize.
MadelineLime Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Eh, they're so boring I just started skipping them all.
Reozen Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Not all of them some of them are actually good especially, some of the two part AO cases.
Chekhov MacGuffin Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 We even have a thread about favorite AOs if you want recommendations:
Parkur Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 The only AO I's actually want people to watch is the Seance case, I'm sure there are a few other good ones, but that one's all that sticks out in mah mind
