For some reason, Firefox reports DCW again as a "web forgery". Checked the Google's Safe Browsing Database again and same thing, it doesn't report the site as a phishing site. It's really weird. I dunno why Firefox or Chrome is acting up on DCW. I'm pretty certain myself that it's false positive. I have three layers of security thing here on my Laptop (NoScript, Anti-Exploit and Kaspersky) and neither one of them reports anything wrong when I visit DCW. It's just the browser which does that. But again, I'm not a super expert on this stuff so better be answered by the Mods or our Admin.

As someone who's still lurking around here from time to time I also got the phishing message on my Firefox when I visited in the last few days. What's weird tho is that I checked the site immediately with "Google's Safe Browsing" thingy after getting the site is a Web Forgery notice and it says that it's safe. The weird thing is that Google Chrome and Firefox reports that the site is a Phishing when all in all, it just uses the same program I stated for verifying if a site is listed as a phishing, has a malware or whatnot. So, it's totally possible that there might have been a glitch/bug in the Safe Browsing System which caused this site to be reported as a webforgery or something and we're so lucky that it happened on us Anyways, I also checked the site with other well known website scanners and samething, they report that the site is clean: (For any users who are worrying if DCW has any malware whatever) Also, other than having an Ad-Blocker as BD said, I urge anyone who uses Firefox to install NoScript security suite plugin to prevent or lessen any further threats in the future. If you're using GC on the otherhand, you're much safer already lol. Other than that, I also recommend everyone to install Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit . It's highly recommended by Tech Experts. It's completely free (altho it says get a free trial on the site), super lightweight (like 1 mb +) and just basically adds a layer of protection to your computer.

Yeah. I heard about this and I've been dying over this news for a few days now! Anyways, that planet is just a theory as you said since it hasn't yet been directly observed (altho it might have already been sometime ago through a ground telescope but they didn't know it was a planet). They kinda postulated this because of some anomalies in the orbit(?) of some objects in the kuiper belt which can only be solved if there's another massive object out there which ofc most likely is a planet. The ninth planet/planet x theory has been out there a long time ago, it just that it lacked credible evidence but now, it seems like it might really be real. The Astronomy community is going crazy over this since the announcement. The hunt is on lol. (There's already people debating what Roman god/godess/whatever should it be named after. Calm down people. Geez) Anyways, the New Horizons craft might be able to go there, if in luck, that ninth planet is exactly within the trajectory of that spacecraft or near, at the least. But it's super unlikely, I mean the scientists operating that thing would have noticed it by now through New Horizon's imaging device when it was on pluto or some sensors since it's kinda huge.

Meh, I don't watch news at all. I read current news online tho every now and then just to see what's currently happening but my reasoning against staying up to date to this stuff is that most news are just purely depressing and repetitive than anything (good news are rare) war here, war there or crimes here and there and it just really demotivates me (I dunno how that correlates) so I just stay away from it as much as possible. I tend to stay updated though on news about Technological/Gadget or Scientific Advancements/Achievements or etc. etc since those are the good stuffs, IMO. Duh. Sam and Frodo from LotR are still the best at this Anyways, *sigh* Here it goes, Welp, to anyone who's reading this, especially those people who knew me, well... the time has finally come. All things must come to an end. In otherwords, I'm really leaving this forum behind forever this time. I have no intentions of coming back anymore. I know I've said goodbye many times before but I actually returned like a year after but this time, that's not gonna happen again. As my last will here, I'll post as much as I can till the end of this week and then I'll part ways after that. So anyways, DCW have been a really big part of my life so I'll always treasure this place as one of those community which helped me grew as a person. When I first joined, I never expected that I'll stay for a very long time in this place. In all seriousness, I joined only to discuss DC related stuffs since I was a big DC fanboy at that time but stuffs happened and some awesome members sucked me in to the "DCW community" itself and here I am, I am the second top poster of this site. I don't regret every single spamming that I did to be in that place Haha, I dunno if I actually contributed anything to this site other than my obnoxiousness or if I contributed to any of the members' life who I became close with Otherthan that, I have not much else to say, DCW specifically the members helped me through some of my rough times especially way when I was like 13/14, I was kind of a loner IRL at that time and the DCW people were one of the few outlets that I had to charge up my happiness. And then basically, things changed for me, I became a social person sometime after I left DCW. Anyways, I don't want to prolong this any further and I'm just gonna say thanks really to everyone who I became friends and/or close friends with. I hope you guys remember me and just always take care. So there's this news that have been floating around for a quite awhile now that an alien megastructure around a star (KIC 8462852) might have been found (link here) Astronomers have this kind of instrument where they can measure how much light a star is giving out. Basically they use this thing to detect if there's an exoplanet/exocloud disk/exoobjects or etc around a star by checking for patterned dimming in the light measured from the star which is a sign of something orbiting around it. The thing is that if something passes infront of a light source, it blotches some of the light causing it to dim a bit. Just imagine a fly circling around a really faint incandescent bulb.(Don't quote me on this btw coz I'm not 100% sure about this) Anyways, back to the real thing, they use this technique like on others to check if there's any exoobject orbiting the said star but they found an anomaly which is why we have the alien megastructure theory. They ruled out an exoplanet/exocloud. (The alien megastructure I'm talking about btw is the hypotethical Dyson sphere [link here]) At first, the most plausible theory on this was a band of exocomets floating orbiting the star but just some time ago, it was also ruled out (link here) This has been baffling astronomers for months now. In any case, this stuff is getting really more interesting, altho it's likely from a natural cause. I'm still hoping it's really better than that *fingers crossed*
