Throw stuff in the air till you find it. That's what I normally do. Or lift stuff up and move it to a different place.

I deduce my way to find them. It works 98% of the time. Turns out 60% being in my pocket =_=..

Aeyra, think back to where you last used it. I find my eraser is often in the most obvious places. *chuckles*
