I'm just going to guess that you meant "Why is Shinichi alive? In the first episode, Shinichi took the APTX4869. Why did Gin give the pill to Shinichi?" Well, Shinichi is alive because the APTX for some reason, didn't kill him but shrunk him instead. Gin gave the pill to Shinichi to kill him.

What does language have to do with love? They both speak Japanese so it should be okay.

When did Shinichi save her? I only remember when Ran did. I always thought she was helping Shinichi because he's the son of her best friend.
