"Akai's father is unfortunately already... it's a secret!" That unfortunately makes me think he is probably pushing daisies. Also Gosho said that Rum has already appeared? Daddy Akai hasn't shown himself.

I really hope he would stop revealing vital information like that.

Minami, Conan's voice, said on her blog that she apparently saw him recently, and he was apparently very healthy looking/ in good spirits (she used the word genki) and said he probably just needs a very long resting period. She did not reveal what Gosho's condition was. So it may not be as bad as believed.

There's more to a person than their looks you know... And their gender......... These are all one-case only characters that aren't coming back. If you're going to get this attached to a "cute" 2D girl, you might as well make sure she's a recurring character.
