[Everything from my original post got deleted because of my own stupidity so have a rushed, unevenly written one in its stead.] Devin let the scathing retort Misaki flung at him slide. Sure, he thought she had an absurd lack of originality but they were about to enter Kavin Chills's chambers. Their little 'discussion' could wait for later. Devin bowed and greeted the professor in such an uncharacteristically polite manner, he was almost a hundred percent certain Garnet was rolling her eyes out of their sockets as he did so. The boy took note of the sparsely decorated office. It didn't look lacking, it just gave off the vibe that the intention behind it was to urge the saying, 'what you see is what you get'. It's as sheer as ice. Fitting. The first comment made by Kavin was taken in by Devin as somewhat distorted. The 'crazed' girl was dead? How was that possible? She was very much alive when he left, and with a bit too much energy to spare too. It was a tough pill to swallow for Devin. He had read about death a lot in the past but he never experienced it to this degree. Now he understood why Misaki was riddled with pain in her face. He thought of apologizing, but that's the one thing he would never do. I'm supposed to comfort her, right? He pondered over and over, missing most of what Chills was announcing to them. He did catch one thing though and he was gonna say something about it. He had to differentiate himself from the simple-minded buffoons. As per a show of self-justification, Devin started to talk about how he was just unwillingly thrown into the mix and how he didn't want to have anything to do with any one of them in the first place. His insensitive ramble was cut short however, by the nearly intolerable pain that was shooting up from his hands. His nerves, which were already frayed enough by the news of Saki's death, were barely managing to hold off the pain and send signals to his brain accordingly. Strangely enough, he did feel a surge of pride. He was getting a legit punishment from someone respectable after all. There's gotta be something positive he could take away from that. Eliciting the most high-pitched scream ever aside, he bowed respectfully and gingerly as they exited out the office. His mind was still wandering when he overheard Misaki's wiles about the frostbite. Fishing out the burn cream garnet gave him out of his coat jacket, he tried to offer it to the girl. Apparently he viewed the cream as a magical cure for everything external. He didn't get the chance to as he was overtaken by garnet and her bandages and being interrupted by Rogue and his peppiness about seeing Ms. Seeker. Devin, while he tried to appear nonchalant as usual, was listening intently to the exchanges between the people around him. He attempted to be sympathetic with the other students worries but he was more curious than anything else. His natural aptitude for unlocking mysteries was starting to be revived, as if dust was blowing itself away from the unused 'engine'. He found himself leaning forward more and more as the conversation ensued, only stopping when he saw Rouge handing a restricted book to Misaki. For someone who's supposed to enforce strict adherence to rules and regulations, the redhead was operating on questionable behavior. Devin snatched the book from the girl's hands and returned it to its former place in the shelf, avoiding eye contact with Misaki. Another girl was present, seemingly offering tea to anyone who'd give her the time of the day. She was acting bizarre, well as far as the word bizarre could go regarding the description of someone in a magic school. Devin waved her away when she approached him for the tea. "Unless that's Earl Gray with a single sprig of cinnamon and authentic oil of bergamot, then I'm not touching it. Not that I'd trust you with making my drink even if it was." He mused, his eyes still trained on Ms. Seeker. "It would make perfect sense if the said Walpurgis Night would originate here. The entire school is abound with magic and mana. Spirits would be naturally drawn to here... that is if it's really spirits that are the real culprits. This might be too far-fetched but we can't discount the fact that it might be an inside job." Devin said, offering his contribution. "Now let's brief you on what you're going to do as Ms. Seeker's assistants!" Just great. Putting you down as 'Crazed 2.0'

File 875-878 Spoilers: After File 878, or after the last page of it to be precise, it became obvious that our mysterious little lady aren’t regular Junior High girl. Well, it was obvious since very beginning, but now it’s officially confirmed. OK, so who is she? The most popular theory for the moment is that she is Masumi-san’s mother shrunken by the APTX4869 (or similar) drug. Me and a lot of other fans came to this conclusion right after File 876. But there was not enough facts back than. Now there’s much more. So, let’s look at them. • In Files 775-777 Masumi got and deleted photo of Haibara Ai. • In File 875 it was shown that mysterious girl have the same eyes with Masumi and Shūichi. • In File 876, when Sonoko asked Masumi about if her mother still in America, Masumi answered «Yeah…» like she was supposed to tell a lie, while wasn’t ready for such a question. • In File 876 Masumi said she have no other relatives aside of mother and two brothers, one of which is «dead». • In File 877 Conan described mysterious girl as a Junior High student. • In File 878 mysterious girl coughed, while she was in bed on photo. • In File 878 mysterious girl showed that she have a knowledge about electronics and told that she saw some wireless listening devices before. • In File 878 Masumi asked mysterious girl if she like Conan or not, while blushing. • In File 878 mysterious girl told Masumi to tell Conan that she’s her little sister to hide the truth about her. What can we get from that? We can get that theory about mysterious girl being Masumi-san’s mother is probably true. Masumi knew that Conan is Shinichi from very beginning and she was sure, while even Ran, who was his closest friend, aren’t sure. Masumi knew that it’s too dangerous to keep Ai's photo on her PC. Masumi wasn’t sure when she told Sonoko that her mother still in America. Girl coughed, while, as we know, APTX4869 antidote works when person have cold (maybe it’s somehow related to the shrinking part too). Girl looks too smart for a regular Junior High student. While it’s pretty obvious that Masumi like Shinichi since a long ago and she always blushing near Conan, question about if mysterious girl liked Conan, or not may be like a question to mother about if she like daughter’s fiancé, or not. And, the most important, mysterious girl decided to pretend to be a sister, therefore, she isn’t. So, she’s not a sister, while she have the same eyes with Masumi and Shūichi. The most logical conclusion – she is their mother. But it’s only the beginning. Because it’s time to build some fresh theories! Since there’s a big question – how in the world information about Silver Bullet project leaked from Kuro no Soshiki (The Black Organization). And the most interesting theory for me is that APTX4869 itself aren’t leaked, but was made by Masumi-san’s mother. Mysterious girl looks smart enough to be a scientist. And if we imagine that she’s a scientist who works on Silver Bullet project outside of Kuro no Soshiki, we can get a very interesting picture of events. Because if Akai / Sera family got the information about Silver Bullet project for a long time already, then this family may be part of something really big. Bigger than FBI. Why? Let me explain. If Akai / Sera family was deep in the Silver Bullet thing, then Akai-san’s work for FBI may be a part of their plan. What plan? To get closer to James Black, who’s my favorite candidate to be Ano Kata (That Person), mysterious boss of Black Organization. About James Black being Ano Kata, please, read this entry in my blog. The whole thing may be planned by the family from very beginning. If James is Ano Kata, or at least very important member of Organization, then family can make Akai-san enter FBI to be closer to him. But where did the family learned about Silver Bullet project? Another bold assumption – from Miyano family. If Masumi-san’s mother (let’s call her like this for now, OK?) is a scientist, she may know Miyano family for a long time and we don’t know much about Miyano family’s death. Pisco said about accident, but there was no details. If Miyano family was about to leave the organization and shared information about Silver Bullet with friends, then everything makes sense. Or even more – Miyano family knew that they’ll be killed, shared information about Silver Bullet project with their trusted friends and asked to help them to get their daughters out from Organization. Akai-san’s contact with Akemi-san may be not just to enter Organization, but to get both sisters out eventually. Remember, he was often around both Akemi and Shiho as Rye. It fits surprisely well. To make it short, we may have a family that plays with both FBI and Kuro no Soshiki. Family, deeply involved with Silver Bullet drug and probably connected with Miyano family.

@Toichi - He is dead. - Does he ever kill people? It make no sense that his robbery ensure so much no one get killed, then create Organization that kill for money, among other things - He existed before Detective Conan. having Toichi alive and being BO boss would screw Magic Kaitou story. So the son go after a man who murder his father, then find out that his father fake his death, and live as a criminal. - He is dead. Yes, I know I repeat it. @Shiratori. -The only one has power to decide manga is Gosho. If he want a boss, he should create and introduce him himself. He should get an idea who the boss must be before start a series. How his appearance, personality, gender will be. Rather than borrow someone else character. - Shiratori come into close contact with Conan and Haibara. Never suspect them to be shrunken people. Dont remember Ai as Shiho. Why? - Why Shiratori, why not someone else? Why not, say...Agasa? Yukiko?Megure? Everybody else? There are nothing indicated that Shiratori more special or close to this assumption than any other. i dont see reason behind this. How the series popularity influence whether or not to make movie canon? Movie maker cannot make anything canon without Gosho approval.

Good topic. I think the BO are trying give eternal life and to raise a certain dead person through the pill. As that person has valuable information or knowhow that will help the BO to a more specific longterm mission and goal. Through the programming i believe they are trying to create a high level of AI. Maybe to recapture the persons memory digitally as a programe, or maybe to recreate that mind process. The reason i say this(bearing in mind it is not cannon and other observation are not DC,) but in movie 6 the young boy programmes his personality into a computer programme. And in Magic Kaito the organisation which is not the BO are looking for eternal life too. This shows the author Gosho is intrested in writing on the topic of people exploring eternal life, simular to Frankenstien and the moral ethics of science and now technology (and in Magic Kaito magic/spitituality) this being said every author has a message to give to their audience in an interesting way. And the detective period he works with does not really deal with magic so this is out of the question. I would say that Shinich's shrinking to 10 is a side effect so was the intracable poison and Vermont's none aging (as i dont think she is immortal), and Gin may have a low level of invincibility as i believe this is the true purpose of the pill along with raising the dead. But i dont know if Gin is a test subject, but i do believe Vermont is and she had the ATPX 4869 in a different prototype form, and i think she hates living without aging as she lives for too long without friends etc. I believe that that other monster like man who tried to kill Heiji was another test subject with another varied side effect. I think the side effects might be determined by different peoples Dna personality with the letter frim Ai's mum about the silver bullet actually being a pill and the contasting opposite of the APTX 4896, maybe? They are two different pills are they not? Also the programme maybe able to predict moves and maybe eventsand the future. And we know how much Japanese people love fortune telling. Or maybe they are just making games you can play forever without dying (like one kid did) and it has mind control to trick you that the BO dont have body oder.

No I haven't. The biochemistry agenda is probably immortality and deaging. Pisco implied this in his chat with Shiho. The computer agenda I don't know, but I have recently come to like the idea of simulating a human brain - something like virtually uploading yourself. The extreme difficulty of such a program and heavy AI requirements explain why extremely skilled programmers would be needed, as well as game programmers who do more in AI than other types, and why someone like Itakura wouldn't like it. Both computer and biochem have the same purpose from two different directions, immortality/preserving the mind forever. I might change my mind though on the computer agenda, ask me again in six months.Also McMuffin, seriously? *facepalms*
