  1. That's another problem. Recently the movies have tried too hard to please the fans by having an overdose of ShinRan in one movie, some idiotic Kaito-Shinichi in another, a pointless BO plot in another because 'OMG it's the BOOOO !!!!!!!!", a story around Heiji and Kazuha in another etc... And it's probably not going to stop unless they just ignore the fan demand for BO movies, more Kid movies, more ShinRan movies or even a Shiho movie. But why would they ? It brings cash. The best movies are the ones which have a basic cast, a decent case and which aren't directed at a particular type of fan. A little bit of character development for canon pairings (for example I enjoyed the Kogoro-Eri story in movie 2) is ok, but it should not take up half of the movie. Basically, never listen to fans.

  2. I can't see Gin with a Tommy gun... Not his style... Gin is more of a 1 shot 1 kill kinda guy. Akai is the same way for that matter... People who prefer accuracy tend not to use full auto weapons... If Gin were to use an automatic he'd probably use a burst fire carbine, because those tend to be the most accurate. As for Vodka, I wouldn't trust him with a tommy gun, and I don't think Gin would either... I could totally see Gin snatching it from his hands and saying "Don't use that, you'll get us both caught." As for the Porsche (by the by, that is how it is spelled, I cringed when I saw your spelling of it)... The 356A was first made in 1955-1960 iirc. SO! That is still after the time of the typical Italian gangsters with Tommy Guns. What I would LOVE to see (but hate to see at the same time for different reasons) is Gin getting the new version of the 356 in 2013. An upgrade would be awesome, because it would look pretty much the same with a modern engine. That is unless he has the 356A Carrera (same body, with a racing engine), in which case... damn.... I would have a new respect for Gin if that were the case. As for Shiho... I can totally believe her back story. There have been geniuses who graduated from college as a young teenager. So her being a top scientist for the BO before she is 18 is actually plausible. Also that would be the reason she was sent to America where they more readily allow for rapid upward advancement. The Japanese education system is too uniform for that (hell that was even highlighted in M6). Also as for Shiho and the reason why I have not yet posted in this thread... I agree with what was stipulated before... From a young age she probably showed signs of being a genius where as Akemi did not (though Chek's theory, is also quite plausible, but I don't agree with it and I'll explain for the hell of it). So while Shiho was groomed to be a scientist, Akemi was brought up normally, but still in the BO. However since she did not have any outstanding traits, she never received a code name. While Shiho with her being a top scientist was granted the code name of Sherry. It wasn't that Akemi was a half sister... It seems to me that code names are based upon achievement rather than whether you are in the BO or not. Vodka had to have done something to become the apprentice of Gin or he has certain skills that are useful to Gin and was thus given a code name and placed with Gin as an assistant. Shiho probably didn't get a code name until she proved herself in the lab, because she would have had to compete with several other scientists, and with an org that large, I doubt highly that all of them had code names (there aren't enough alcoholic beverages to allow that unless they start using mixed drinks). Probably only the top or head scientists had code names and the rest were like Akemi.

  13. Damn it. Look guys, as much as I respect the opinion that you guys don't like Twilight, I'm just going to say right now that Stephanie Meyers is a person just like us. Who cares if Twilight is about vampires and romance? She's an incredible author. It's like me saying "Oh hey! Harry Potter sucks and I hate it because it's about wizards and magic. Most horrible thing I've ever read! J.K. Rowling is stupid." You get what I'm trying to say? 'Cause I don't think it came out the way I wanted... I'm an avid Twilight and High School Musical fan. I don't care what anyone thinks. The people who made it are amazing people.

  15. Worst DC movie to date : -bad fanservice -the humour was childish and/or stupid -pointless action scenes -a very poorly built case (if you can even call that a case) -one of the dumbest endings I've ever seen -kaito centered

  16. I must be one of the few that really didn't like it... I mentioned in the worst movies thread already the three things that I liked but I'll go in to detail what I did and did not like... First of what I didn't like... What I did like: All in all, this movie was reliant on MacGuffins and a contrived mostly meaningless plot which was designed to make it an exciting movie. The mystery was covering for a mystery, which was to make the mystery of Kid... more... exciting... I guess? Yeah...no... It didn't work. This movie worked only because of the interaction between Ran and Kaitou and that ending. But I cannot call a movie with an awesome ending good by any means. Most of the movie was forced and contrived. Was it fun? Sure... But bad movies are often fun because of how bad they are. And that was what 30% of this movie was. The rest was unwatchable tripe. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give this movie a 4/10. (It should have been a 3, but that ending scene was just that good. I would liken this movie to Double Team, horrible movie, but the ending makes it totally worth it) Edit: PS: If you are not sure what a MacGuffin is, or you think it has anything to do with Chek, please google it or ask her.
