Okay~ Whoa long time no see. I know. Sorry about that... First: Haibara with gun messy. yup. messy... let's shade in. the gun is a major failure... This one came out great. it's cut out because it is going to be on my binder. one thing I don't like : fingers. it was hell... too hard... Rough sketch. you can see how I kinda label darkness of each parts shaded in. well, it's obviously not done. This is the hardest part. If you smudge on places where you shouldn't, you have to erase and re-shade... Carefully erase the smudges, fix if you have to, and add some more detail... TADA! This is pre-cut. Yes. this is on my binder. Well I forgot to take pictures while drawing this. The ear(our right) is too big and the eye(our left) is a bit small, but it came out great.

For people like me who are unwilling to share, we do it with God. The truth is, no matter how much you deny it, you want someone to love you. To appreciate who you are. To accept you as you are. To listen. Everyone is this way. You'll hear people say, "I don't care about love. I don't want love. It's just pain." In truth, it's rejection, guilt, breakups, and everything that goes wrong that is pain. Love itself is what heals it. As for hope, it comes easily to some and not so much to others. Hope means telling yourself that things could be worse. You can't find a silver lining without having to face the clouds. You can't give up on hope because subconsciously it will always be there, even when you can't see it. Dreams can move mountains and if you have faith, if you keep hoping, if you keep working at it, you can stand strong even when the sky is falling. ...I'm so quoting from a song. Oh well.

This page talks about the Nichigei Award for Excellence, which Gosho apparently received this year - the website mentions that the award ceremony was moved from March 11th to April 8th due to the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, so the ceremony happened this year. This website also mentions that the university plans on having the two winners (one of whom is Gosho) give a lecture later. Ok... here are my thoughts on this whole thing... *sets up barricades for angry fangirls/boys* Both Kaitou Kid and Kudo Shinichi are overrated. (they are practically the same character only opposite sides of the law) There is a reason for this... THEY ARE BOTH PERFECT. They are both the main protagonists of Gosho Aoyama's works. Gosho made very few faults for each character (less so for Kudo... I mean... does he really have a debilitating flaw like Kaitou does?). They are both geniuses, can think much further ahead than their adversaries, can predict outcomes and trick their foes. Allow me to run through this real quick for both, and then I'll explain why they are both overrated when compared to literature... (by quick I mean as quick as I can) Lets start on topic with Kaitou Kid... He was the main protagonist of MK turned antagonist for DC. He was perfect in MK, so Gosho couldn't very well add in flaws, because he can't flesh them out (though he never did give the explanation for the fear of fish... perhaps one day). He is arrogant, a master of disguise, EXTREMELY intelligent (possibly more so than Kudo, and I'll explain why) and is a master of Magic. These things combine make him a very effective (and slightly boring thief after a while). He can memorize a lot of information very easily in a short period of time, including numbers, personal information, mannerisms, voice and building layouts. Basically he has an eidetic memory, something Kudo does not have. He can plan and even deduce slightly (though not as good as Kudo). He is shown to be extremely good at school without even thinking about it (aoko too for that matter). When it comes to adversaries (and this is where it gets boring) Gosho does NOT want one of his original characters to lose. This includes against Kudo. He has a tragic back story, and though he is a criminal you are meant to empathize with him. He isn't out for monetary gain, he has his father's estate. That is why he returns all jewels he steals if it isn't the Pandora jewel. However Kudo can't lose either, so Kid gets away and Kudo ends up getting the jewel. (Again boring)(Also I think Gosho doesn't want either of his creations to lose) Aside from fish (which no one seems to know about) he has no discernible flaws. This makes for very boring characters. His arrogance is his biggest flaw and that usually works out. Jii is a professional so he isn't much of a liability aside from age. And he doesn't have any other partners. The character he is based on is much more interesting in this respect, which is Arsene Lupin. Lupin has no experienced colleagues, and has to woo girls into helping. They are inexperienced and his care for them are usually his downfall. Women are his weakness. Since they are also an integral part to his thievery, it is BIG (so not like Aoko or fish, because those don't impact him as much as slightly inconvenience him). Kid also has no worth adversary other than Hakuba (who is never around) and Kudo who is now always around because they are melded together. Nakamori, the main force is not up to snuff. Even Lupin III has a better constant antagonist in the form of Zenigata. He is not incapable, and he often is able to corner Lupin III if not for the last minute intervention of Jigen, Fujiko or Goemon. Arsene Lupin has Ganimard who CONSTANTLY corners or captures Lupin only for him to trick his way out or escape by slipping cuffs or other method. He is an uninteresting mary sue-esque character... Too perfect, not enough flaws and not interesting enough. Now on to Kudo... HE IS THE EXACT SAME! Except swap out magic and eidetic memory for deductive ability and overall strange compilation of academic and scientific knowledge (oh yeah, and thanks to Agasa and his Mother that INCLUDES disguising, with the exception of mimicking dialect). He has no flaws except his arrogance (which should have killed him at least 3 times to my memory). Granted his arrogance is EXTREME, but still he has no worthy adversary other than the BO. They barely show up, so he basically has no one. And the BO he has the FBI backing him. They are a big adversary who can provide a challenge, but THEY ARE BARELY AROUND! Kudo has no other weakness other than his stature which isn't a weakness anymore thanks to Agasa's inventions. He can kick objects stronger than he probably was able to before, has tracking glasses, a skateboard that goes as fast as a car (he isn't yet old enough to get a license in Japan). Hell he seems to have overall less flaws than he did before. He only has three liabilities... And honestly if they follow him to the BO he should let them die... They'd deserve it, and so would he for getting them involved with such a dangerous case (and not being able to trick them into going elsewhere). Again overall boring. Every single detective had flaws in the past. Sherlock had the same set-up, but the difference was that the mysteries often actually was able to test him (though Sherlock was an addict and slightly crazy). He was also limited because he often didn't have free reign from the police as they were always getting involved, often resenting him, where as Kudo is LOVED by the MPD (even as conan to a degree). Now I know this is a family comic/show, but Gosho should have put more effort into making complex and believable characters. He has developed the cast around the main characters except for Kudo and Ran (of those who appear enough to develop). IT IS INFURIATING. They are both overrated and have better counterparts in literature or other shows. They are not dynamic, interesting or even evolving. And unlike Holmes he does not have fantastic writing to back him (and some interesting peculiarities that Kudo does not). Gosho is good, but not SACD good. Honestly what keeps me coming back to DC is the side characters, not the main (well that and the mysteries, which have their ups and downs. Some are fantastic other are dismal but you can't win them all). Usually its the characters that keeps me interested in a story for the most part (well it has to be a balance between good characters and good story). DC is the ONLY one where it is the side characters and mystery. Thank you for reading this overly long post And I really hope I don't get flamed or attacked for it.... *reinforces barricades* @Waka: They explained that Sharon Vineyard was better at mimicking voices than Yukiko was. Yukiko could adeptly change her voice, and make it sound different for characters, but not mimic another person entirely. Basically... Sharon can completely take on the identity of someone else, where as Yukiko can only create a new persona (which for the purposes of acting is all you need).

L’easy was apparently told by Kid the Phantom Thief, to send all important documents he received to Chelseaj500. “Where are the documents?” asked Cammy and Chelseaj500. “I ate them,” answered Chelseaj500. “OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO.” “What, you are crazier than me,” said Forever Lost. “What are we going to do now, since we lost our only lead,” asked Kudo-kun and Conan-kun at the same time. “But I remember the contents clearly,” said Chelseaj500. “Because I am good at remembering things, OHOHOHOHOHO.” After a little talk, we found out some interesting facts. It was late and none of us had eaten much. “Maybe, we just need to sleep this through,” I said, hoping the others would agree. “No, we can’t leave yet. I still need to explain the meaning of this dying message,” said Aeyra-chan with victorious eyes. “Have you solved it then?”, asked Forever Lost surprised. “I was completely lost in those numbers.” “Yes, of course,” answered Aeyra-chan. “First you need to take the numbers inside the brackets and add them up. So now it is possible to line up the letters as words, resulting as: "Go call this number" Then we need to find the number. What’s left is “8*8”. Eight times eight give us 64, but that is irrelevant. In order to get 64 using eight times eight is a second option. 8*8 can also be written as: 8+8+8+8+8+8+8+8. What we need to find is a phone number, so I suppose the number is: 88 88 88 88. That is the trick… We just need to call 88 88 88 88. Wasn’t it easy?” ended Aeyra-chan. “No it was not that easy, but I understand it when you say it like that. It seems like it’s the truth,” said Kudo-kun. We called the number. The receiver was a man called L’easy. He was hired by Kid the Phantom Thief to help the FBI. L’easy told us that we needed to visit a woman named Chelseaj500. We also found out that a mysterious man, called Cola, just spoke with him and that he was provided with the same info as we were. A scream made us hurry up. We ran up the stairs only to find a man, who was stabbed with a knife. What should we do? Leave them alone and visit Chelseaj500 or solve this murder. Cammy, Aeyra-chan and I wanted to visit Chelseaj500 while Detective Kudo, Misaki-chan and Forever Lost wanted to solve this murder. We came up with a brilliant idea. We split up. (Looking into Misaki-chan’s eyes) “He is already dead,” said Kudo-kun. “Call the police, Forever Lost.” “I am the police,” said Forever Lost seemingly angered. “But we still need backup,” replied Kudo-kun scared. The investigators arrived soon after. I gave some cookies to the dead man’s wife. There were three suspects. The first suspect was the wife, who is 1.50 meter high and was in the kitchen, and was married to him 10 years. Her motive would be to obtain an insane amount of money from the life insurance. The second one was his brother. He was 1.60 meter high, worked with creating knifes. His motive was that he had borrowed a lot of money from his brother. The third was the wife’s brother. He was 1.80m, worked as a fisherman. His motive was just that he hated that man. The victim was president of a small company. Not many hated him and whatever he did it was always for justice. He was 1.70 meter high and strong. He could easily defend himself if not for the fact he was approached from behind and stabbed in the chest. Who was the murderer? (Looking into Hano’s eyes) We drove as fast as we could towards Chelseaj500. Could we make it before Cola?

Chapter 2 When we all got inside, I served them some drinks. Forever Lost got some water and a cake. She did not want any soft drink since she wanted to make sure she would not become overweight, although she wasn’t close to becoming fat (Forever Lost: since some may misread this i'll say it now: You are not fat). Conan-kun got orange juice along with the rest of us. In the room was I, Detective Kudo, Edogawa Conan, Forever Lost and some of Forever’s underlings (policemen). We lined up the facts that we knew about the mysterious murder. The murdered man was: Reaper. The door was opened using a key made of plaster. Therefore it was probably a premeditated murder. There was nobody who had a motive and they all got an alibi. There was a visit-card from Horovimocic. Somebody, or the murderer bombed the apartment using a timed bomb. As we silently thought about what we should do somebody knocked on the door. I opened it and the one waiting to enter was Cammy3131. Cammy was said to be a very suspicious person. Sometimes she was seen standing outside in the rain all night, like she was watching an apartment. There was even a rumor stating that she might be a thief, stealing others identitys. “Hi, I am Cammy3131, glad to meet you,” she said with a happy voice, and a serious face. “What do you want?” I asked her politely. “I want to tell you something,” she answered and walked in. After a few minutes, she had greeted everyone in my kitchen, when Forever Lost, asked her who she was. “I guess that she is with some sort of intelligence department,” Conan-kun said. “That’s because, she is on stakeout often, ain’t involving you with the social life, and because a few foreign men visit you once per week, at Monday 3 pm.” “You are right,” Cammy answered. “I am from the FBI and I am looking for a criminal organization, known by us as “the White Organization”. “ Conan-kun remembered instantly the Black Organization. He was determined on solving this case that had the smell of Gin. “What we know, is that the White Organization are people from another organization. Unfortunately, we don’t know who that organization is or what they are doing. But we hope that, when the WO (White Organization) gives us some leads, pointing at the other organization,” explained Cammy. Conan-kun walked out to the toilet, attempting to contact Jodie, but she was apparently on a holiday. We discussed the new information, a little bit, when Kudo-kun (Detective Kudo) asked, what is the link between the WO and the murder case. We learned then that Horovimocic was a high ranking member of the WO, and the murder was probably their doing. But we got a new lead. We were going to visit Kid the Phantom Thief, another member of FBI. When we received his house something was odd. The door was open. Inside was he sitting in his chair – dead. It seemed that he first was shot in the chest. Then the culprit apparently searched the room after something. A lot of papers were missing. It was easy to be seen, as there were pieces of papers on the floor, and briefcases everywhere. Then Kid the Phantom Thief was shot in the head, and his computer was taken away. Surprisingly it happened just recently, since the body was still warm. We found the bombs quickly, and disarmed them. It was a bit of weird since Cammy disarmed 2 while Conan-kun disarmed 4. Next to the body was an empty Coca Cola. Then Conan-kun was called by Ran, and was forced to leave. He promised to return the next day. Then, as he left, we found a USB-stick with a file named dying message. It contained a lot of numbers. While we were reading it, an ugly girl (note: it is a fictive person, not anybody from DCW) entered the room. “My husband,” cried the unknown woman. We just looked at her, without being able to find any word to comfort her. After 5 minutes somebody entered the apartment. “Want a hug?” somebody said. “Sniff* no thanks,” she cried. “What about a cookie?” asked somebody? “Yes,” answered the woman as she stopped crying. It seems the woman with the cookie was a famous hug- and cookie-dispenser. Her name was Misaki-chan. We gave her a quickly overview of what happened so far. “I can’t crack the meaning of these numbers,” Kudo-kun said. “We could call Aeyra-chan. She is good at math. I know she will find the meaning of this.” “I’m calling her now,” said Forever Lost.
