Situation

Part 1

Kogoro has won another contest and so he, Conan and Ran go on vacation, where 4 friends recognize him as the famous detective Kogoro Mouri by the name of Eiko Nojima, Akane Isaka, Keisuke Otsubo and Touru Akitaya. He has dinner with them which is interrupted by a rude man by the name of Seiji Hario, who is trying to buy one of the friend's businesses, but they refuse to sell. The rude man is found dead, hit on the head with a rock.

Suspects: Eiko Nojima, Akane Isaka, Keisuke Otsubo, and Touru Akitaya
On the way to visit the late Daimyo and their ancestor, Motonari Mouri, Conan, Ran and Kogoro stumble on the murder of Seiji Hario that the police are investigating. The suspicion quickly falls on the four friends who all have motive to murder him. However, every have airtight alibis. Is the murderer a work of an outsider?

Mouri immediately suspects the four friends who all had motives, but when he questions them they all have alibis.

Part 2

With some investigation by the police and Kogoro, Conan begins and investigation of his own. He discovers that the friends took advantage of one person in the group's poor eyesight, so that one of them could commit the murder. It is then revealed that 13 years ago that man caused their 5th friend to commit suicide.

After some talk with Ran, Eiko turn herself to the police and confessed that she murdered Hario because he refused to say sorry and apologize to the late Hondo. Kogoro doesn't trust her and deduces that she is trying to cover the true murderers.
