The Mysterious Job (不可思議なバイト ,Fukashigi na Baito) is the 553th chapter of the manga of Detective Conan. It was written by Gosho Aoyama, drawn by him and his assistants and first released in Shōnen Sunday #7/2006 on January 18th, 2006 and later on reprinted as part of Volume 53 on February 17, 2006. It was released in English by Viz Manga on January 13th, 2015 under the name A Mysterious Job. It is the 10th of 10 chapters in Volume 53, and the 1st out of 3 chapter in Mysterious Job case.

Plot

While driving through the city at night, Chianti complains that Kir still isn't found despite all the resources the organization had spent, but it is to be expected from FBI. Korn said Kir is surely dead, to which Chianti replies that it might be the favourable alternative to her being brainwashed by FBI and turning on them. Gin, who is in another car with Vodka driving, joins the conversation over the phone. He says it is pointless to worry since Kir had been severely tortured before (shot on all four limbs, beaten until her ribs is broken, and given a truth serum), and did not say anything.
