Shirohato Pharmaceuticals (白鳩製薬 Shirohato seiyaku, lit. "White Dove Pharmaceuticals") was a pharmaceutical company operating in Tokyo. They were liked for their cheap yet effective medicine.
Background
The company used to be a drug developping and pharmaceutical company which operated many drug stores in Tokyo. It closed around 25 years ago due to undergoing bankrupcy. It used to have a drug development team. The status of its former key people and employees is still unknown. Atsushi Miyano joined the company 30 years ago.
Links to the Black Organization
The company is rumored to have been forced out of business by Renya Karasuma and his Karasuma Group to force Atsushi, in which he had spotted potential, to join his group's drug development team. However, years later, when Atsushi considered allowing the Karasuma Group to sponsor his research, he was hesitant due to the group's reputation but not due to any history with Shirohato Pharmaceuticals.
Name origin
The company's name is an irony as opposed to the Karasuma Group, making it look like a "Black Crow" eating a "White Dove". Its products had indeed a white dove as emblem.
