Situation

One afternoon, Kogoro, Ran, and Conan were at a tidal park in Chiba, enjoying the scenery. After low tide occurred, Kogoro was about to take them to an all-you-can-eat seafood restaurant for dinner, but all three of them discover a body lying on a flood bridge.

Murder?

Victim: Ryuji Kimishima

Age: 48 years old

Cause of death: Strangulation

Suspects: Aoi Kimishima and Yuta Kimishima

He was found strangled to death.

The victim is Ryuji Kimishima, the second generation president of a famous food manufacturing company. The main suspects are his wife Aoi, a former idol and actress, and his older brother Yuta, who works in the same company.

As always, Kogoro puts himself in ridicule with his pathetic deductions.

This is not a murder, but a suicide. This was because, as stated in Ryuji's will, he invested stocks in an attempt to gain more capital for his company but became bankrupt. After the case was solved, Kogoro took Ran and Conan to that restaurant, only to find it closed.
