I finished In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick maybe 2 weeks ago and I really, really enjoyed. It's written in a way that's really easy to read, and with how dry nonfiction can be, I think that's really impressive. It's not for the faint of heart though, so I don't readily recommend it, but if you take a glance at the Essex's wikipedia page and think you could handle reading more in depth about what happened to the survivors of the shipwreck before they were rescued, consider giving it a go!

Just started Lapvona by Ottessa Moshfegh the other day. Not far enough along to really have an opinion yet, but so far it's been enjoyable, so fingers crossed it sticks the landing..
