"Sayomi, WH... Let's go." KKLT started walking off speedily as the two girls followed.
"Where shall we start looking?" Sayomi asked.
"... Pyre couldn't have gone very far. She must have gone back to that building we were from." KKLT pulled out the piece of paper that Pyre left behind and read it again, then took out a lighter and burnt the note. "There are no cars around at this timing. She should be on foot. Let's go." KKLT started to run with the other two girls following.
*Bzzzzzz* Pyre's phone started to vibrate.
Eh?! KKLT immediately stopped to pick it up. A message came in. "A... message?"
"Who's it from?!" Sayomi asked.
"From.... C..." KKLT read it out. AH! Its Pyre's friend...
Everyone crowded around KKLT to read the message.
"Jean... asked me to compile some information... and send it to you guys..." KKLT read it out. "Ah! This is...?!" KKLT couldn't believe that they actually managed to get such detailed information about the syndicate.
Everyone continued reading the information that C had sent.
"Looks like everything is as Tsukiko says. Those three have joined the evil syndicate..." KKLT sighed. She did not know whether to be mad or glad. She should be mad that they have agreed to join the syndicate, but at the same time, she is relieved that they hadn't died, or she'll be living her rest of her life in guilt.
"But... " Sayomi continued. "But... Is BK ... really...?"
"I guess so..." KKLT replied. "If this information is true, then what BK did when she was with us is a definite betrayal. It's a miracle she's still alive."
"I can't believe that BK is..." Sayomi stopped in the middle of her sentence and sighed.
"Anyways, with these, we now know that those three are alive. There's nothing much that Pyre can do for now. We should find her fast."
"What's going on?" WH asked. "Who is BK?"
"Ah." KKLT just realised WH had not met BK. "She was with us for a while before she left. But we never knew about her identity and she never told us."
"Okay... I see..." WH answered.
"Yep."
"So now do we head back to the hotel?"
"No. We continue to find Pyre. The hotel is dangerous now." KKLT hoped that there is no problem with Mark's call. "We have to find her as soon as possible."
KKLT took up the phone and sent a reply to C.
After a few minutes, C replied back with a number.
"Great." KKLT keyed the number into her own phone and dialed.
Beep... beep beep...
Pyre... pick up the phone please... KKLT prayed..
Beep... beep... beep...
*click*
The line finally went through...
"...... Hello-"
