KKLT felt a cold sensation running down from her forehead accompanied by a short sharp sting. "Ou-!" KKLT jumped up from the pain startling the person beside her. Light flooded into her eyes and is giving her a slight headache. "Legend..." KKLT faintly heard someone calling her name. The white spots gradually faded from her eyes and images started to become clearer. She saw someone infront of her... "Lia...?" "Yes its me. Are you okay?" "Erm... I think so. What happened? Why am I here?" KKLT surveyed the surroundings. She was lying on a hospital bed. She was in Tsukiko's ward. Lia sighed. "You're here because you stressed yourself too much and fainted on the hospital floors with a bleeding head." Lia pointed to the part where the bullet grazed her forehead near her right eye. KKLT realised that it had been bandaged already. "Have I been out long?" KKLT asked. "No. You woke up as soon as they wrapped you up." Lia replied. "I see. How about Tsukiko? Has she waken up yet?" Lia points to Tsukiko's bed. KKLT turned to look at the girl sitting on her bed waving. "Tsukiko! You woke up!" "Ye-yea... A little after you were brought in..." Tsukiko replied with some difficulty. KKLT got off her bed unsteadily and walked over to Tsukiko's bed. "Are you alright?" She nodded. It was still difficult for her to talk without feeling the pain. She glanced at the exhausted Lia who have been busy tending to both of them and at KKLT who got injured because of the ordeal. "Tha-thanks Legend, Lia." Tsukiko managed the words with some difficulty, and was replied with smiles from KKLT and Lia. "Don't worry about it." both girls answered in unison. "You should rest now." KKLT told her. "It is unlikely that the syndicate will send another killer here after the first attempt had failed." "Yea. So it is pretty safe here now." Lia continued. "Eh? How did you know..?" Tsukiko was confused as to how they knew what had happened. "We sort of get the situation a little." KKLT explained. "But we'll explain it to you after you get better a little. But we'll have to move from here as soon as you can walk." "Yes I know." Tsukiko replied. "I'm sorry..." "No need to apologise. Nobody knows that this would happen." Lia told her. "Yes. Now you rest. We need you to get better quick." KKLT told her. "And Lia. We need to talk." KKLT guided Lia out of the room. "Have the others called yet?" "No." "Not yet? This is strange." KKLT took out her phone and checked for their locations and found that the three trackers on the girls were gone. "Bad news Lia... another bad news..." "This is bad..." Lia whispered back. "What shall we do now?" "How did that even happen?" thought KKLT in frustration. "I shouldn't have let them go alone..." "It's already happened. We have to get them out now." Lia told KKLT. "This means that Pyre probably is caught too. It may have been a trap from the beginning." "Yea. I have to go help them... Lia you stay and take care of Tsukiko. I will head over first." "Wait... What?! You just fainted! What the he-" "I have to go now. There's no time." "Right. Then I'll have to go with you-" "No Lia, you'll have to stay here with-" KKLT was cut off by approaching footsteps. KKLT and Lia both kept silent and waited. A figure appeared from the corridor. It was a woman. KKLT and Lia both glanced at the woman who walked down to them as if nothing happened. "Could she be an enemy?" KKLT thought as she glared at the woman. The woman stopped infront of Tsukiko's ward. "Could this be... Tsukiko's ward?" the woman asked KKLT. "Who Are You?" KKLT asked forcefully to the woman. "Relax. I'm not your enemy." the woman replied as she turned to look at KKLT. "I'm Shannon." --------------- Okay we finally met.
