Actually, no, there is no such "world-wide rule" that someone has to be 18 or older to be in any type of relationship. I know plenty of people who started dating when they were 13. It was a writing/grammar mistake. Last time I checked, most mods do not bother correcting grammar errors. I, on the other hand, enjoy writing and my beta-ing brain was also activated.
