Well yeah, the earlier episodes are from DVD's, but the subs are still fansubs. The RAW is merely taken from the DVD version, hence why some episodes have no "watch in a well lit room" message, or sponsor plugs. In fact, any episodes that are before 2009, that are subbed and released today, will more than likely come from a RAW from a DVD, unless a RAW is already available from the original broadcast.

That's because of how they are ordered on the DVD's. They are placed out of order on the DVD's, usually because one episode alone could be a two hour special, which in Japan is something which would have its own DVD all to itself. So, for example, if a DVD has 107, 108, 109, 112, on it, then episode 109 will be edited to show the preview of 112 instead. Most of the episodes from 1 to around the 250's, are from the DVD releases. The original broadcasts have the sponsor plugs still in them, but sometimes those are edited out, so you should still notice from a bad jump cut, and from the message in kanji that says to stay far away from the screen in a nicely lit room.

My list has certainly grown! I am currently at episode 393, and these are my favorite openings: 5: Truth by Two-Mix. This gets you REALLY pumped up for an episode! 7: Mysterious Eyes by Garnet Crow. Catchy and adorable.^^ 10: Winter Bells by Mai Kuraki. Another cute song.^^ And Makoto even makes an appearance in the intro! 11: I Can't Stop My Love For You by Rina Aiuchi. One of the best ones ever. 13: Kimi to Yakusoku Shita Yasashii Ano Basho Made by U-ka Saegusa. Another one like Truth, that gets me really excited for the episode. 14. Start by Rina Aiuchi. This one I'm beginning to really like, of course now I'm up to the new intro...

What is everyone's favorite Detective Conan movie? I've only seen the first two, but I just LOVE the second movie! I am a sucker for the murder mysteries, so it really whetts my appetite. The dead body in the aquarium: Yowza! Scared the beejeebus out of me when I first saw it! So, what about everyone else?

A regular character later on in the show is one of Megure's officers, Officer Chiba. He is apparently a big fan of eating, and is often shown hanging around with Takagi. Does he has a first name? I've only heard of the name "Officer Chiba".

I have a new favorite opening. I am watching the show slowly but surely, but I LOVE Truth by Two-Mix, the fifth opening! No other theme song from the show pumps me up for an episode, what an EPIC song! What does everyone else think of it?
