  1. I would say that she is "cynical". Don't take this word negatively.^^ I admire her a lot. Haibara is always calm and looks at things objectively. She never ignores even the worst thing that could happen and thus is a dependable person.
  2. Just be a little bit creative and try to imagin your family members in the DC world. Mine are... my father Akai my mother Kir[Rena Mizunasi] my older sister Shiho Miyano[Ai Haibara] my older brother Shinichi my twin Jodie my little sister Ayumi chan my first little brother Conan my second little brother Eisuke Hondou Their age isn't ordered. I am trying to think of not the relationship between the DC characters in each position but that between me and the DC characters in each position. I hope you guys would tell me your imaginary family members.
  3. As for the Okiya and Akai's identity, I think Akai is disguised as Okiya now and the person, who looks like Akai is not real Akai but pseud Akai, who is pretending to be Akai for some reason. Regarding Akai's death, he and Conan have [hopefully] made a secret plan with Rena to get her back to BO and keep her as a spy at the risk of Rena's life and fortunately it was succesful, while BO doesn't seem to be aware of that. So, in order to keep Rena in the position, Akai has to make sure that BO, especially Gin and the boss don't notice his being alive now. Therefore, it doesn't seem to be beneficial that Akai appears in public and thus I believe someone is disguised as Akai on purpose. Anyway, I am really hoping to have a surprising revalation on Okiya and Akai's identity just like when we did on Jodie and Vermouth.
  4. That's partly true. The scene originally appears in the episode 286 - 288, "Shinichi Kudou's NY Case" and reappears as a flashback in the episode 345. So the quote is from both 286 - 288 and 345. But I prefer the situation in 345 because the quote sounds more profound there.
  5. Good topic! I love this. We can share something we do not know or did not fully appreciated here. My favorite quote is... NOTE: This might be a spoiler for those who have not reached to the epsode 345. Vermouth: "Why did you save me? Why?" Shinichi: "Is a reason nesessary? I don't know why you would kill someone. But as for saving someone...A logical mind isn't needed, right?" This is from the episode 345 in a flashback of Vermouth. Vermouth remembers this, holding a gun directed to Ai and Ran, who is protecting Ai with her body. Such a cool thing to say. I hope this one runs and runs.
  6. I guess you KNOW why DC attracts not only kids but also adults as you get older. You have to wait until that time. I am now 19 years old and have been a DC fan for over ten years. But the way I enjoy DC has changed a bit. When I was a kid, my pleasure of watching DC lay in the thrilling experience that DC gave me and the interesting conversation between DC characters. Now, growing to be a mystery buff who reads Agatha Christie snd Shrlock Holmes series, my main focus has changed to be deduction. So, like me, your viewpoint might change in the future. Just sit back and enjoy watching or reading.
  7. The episodes and movies are relavent to each other. However, while the episodes have an effect on the development of the movies, the event and what happened in the movies do not influence the storyline of the episodes. For instance, at the beginning of the 13th movie, an scene in epsode 345 is introduced and that will play an important role later in the movie. Also, an element of the earlier movie may appear in the later one. For example, an character in the first movie appears as a flashback in the 5th one. And be careful, watching the 5th movie earlier than the first one might be a spoiler! So I recommend that you watch the movies in order.
  8. Hi la vanille! It is such a great thing that you are studying Japanese by yourself. You must be a really motivated person, right? And of course I can help you with your Japanese studying! Actually, I love questioning. I have never gone to Hokuei just bacause it is far from where I live now . I have once browsed the website of Gosyo Aoyama museum and found that it is kind of a history museum of his career. Because it would be fun to explore the roots of such a creative person, I would like to visit the museum if I have a chance to do so.
  9. Gosho Aoyama has once said in an interview that he has already plotted the ending of the series and I am wondering what is your idea of how he will bring the series to the end. Since there are a lot of themes such as the love relationship with Shinichi and Ran and the confrontation with the Black Organization in the series, I think the ending will be really intriguing. I am especially interested in who is the boss of the organization. Although most of the other members in the organization have already been introduced, the boss, the most important character in the organization has not yet been revealed. So I believe that the boss is someone who is surprising enough to be a boss. I guess Aoyama is keeping the secret till the end. Some say that he is Dr Agatha and others say that he is James in FBI. Of course there are other possibilities but I agree with the latter opinion that James is the one. One of the reasons for this is that if the boss is a member in a law enforcement agency, it would be a big surprise because the position in such a world is completely oposite of that in a crime world. The contrast is beautiful. Also, you cannot miss the fact that Aoyama is a big fan of the Sherloch Holmes series , where a distinguished scientist is a evil boss and that he is actually taking after the setting of the series. So it is not strange if he chooses such a good- looking man as an evil boss. Though there are some unclear points on the theory of James being the boss, I do hope that he will give us a surprise in the end. Anyway, what is your opinion on this matter? Try to give reasons!
  10. One of my favorite characters is Ai Haibara. She is just so cool! 8-) The interesting thing about her is that she is a child apparently and meanwhile an adult mentally. It is always fun to wacth Ai on TV guessing how she behaves. she sometimes acts like a child and that is really cute! Also, Ai makes me excited because she reminds me of the Black Organization, which is such a mysterious group and inspires me to watch DC and know more about it. Though I have a special interest in Ai, other characters are also good in its own way.

  12. Hi! I am from Japan, yeah, the home of Detective Conan. It's a little bit strange for me to talk about an Japanese anime in English but there are not good Japanese DC websites that have fan forums like this and I came here. I am Japanese so sorry in advance, if I make stupid mistakes in English. This website is really an comfortable place to me.
