    Whoa. When I opened the new one, it really imprinted itself into my eyes. It's so... My vocabulary is failing me at the moment, so I'll just say it left an impression. And the fact that it's really bright :P The way you made Shinichi's outline brighter and used a different Conan picture made it more dynamic. 

     

    BO. Just... Yes. That would be so cool.

    I also previously thought that Shinichi blended into the background a bit too much.

     

    It'll probably be a while until I finish a BO version, but I'll make sure to keep it in mind.

    First, some things need to be cleared up before I begin:

    Ran would be fantastic as a real life friend. She's loyal, trusting, and friendly.

    However, we're talking about a fictional realm where a character's makeup can consist of endless possibilities--therefore, these characteristics of her's are easily overshadowed by the traits of other characters. Her's are uninteresting, insipid, and unoriginal. Heck, even Sonoko and Kazuha show more personality than her nowadays.

     

    Most people tend to forget that DC has been running for over 20 years now. Where's the character development? Why is Ran still sitting on the sidelines? Why does Ran seem more like a side character rather than a main character?

     

    Surely, 20 years is enough time to generate some character development, right? Apparently not, because her character has actually retrogressed.

    Ran's distinguishing trait as a headstrong character was traded in for the role of the damsel in distress, and that's my problem with her.

     

    Frankly, I don't know where Gosho is going with this because now I can only picture her as a housewife.

    Suggestions: I would contrast the "Detective Conan" words (English) more by making it brighter, or maybe even adjust the lighting so it looks like it's being affected by the purple light. Also, Shadow Shinichi could be a bit lower so it gives the light a more 'central' feeling. I have no idea if this is an actual suggestion or just me begging for HD-ness, but Conan's picture on the right stands out with its older animation. Pretty much, it's perfectly fine, but my brain is... Like that.

    So I'm finally finished with the edits that you suggested!

     

    I also made a few extra edits, such as making Shinichi on the far left a bit more prominent. 

    I got rid of his silhouette since moving it lower wasn't really much of an option.

    Movie 4: it was realistic enough for me not to face-palm myself numb. I actually liked it a lot.

    Movie 6: I liked how they incorporated history into the movie. The sci-fi was also a nice change in pace since it took a different route from most movies.

    Movie 10: I was pleased with how prominent the mystery aspect of the movie was. I just didn't like the blandness of the hostage situation.

    Movie 13: it was one of the first movies I watched so it gave me an extremely good impression. Considering how many people seem to hate it, I'll have to rewatch it again to finally solidify my opinion of this movie.

     

    Could-have made the list but didn't:

    Movie 14: Kid's involvement was unnecessary (still enjoyed it to some extent), and the ending with the "biochemical" was anticlimactic. 

    Movie 15: It was good up until the point where Conan snowboarded off a dam. Here, marks the starting point of Conan's over-usage of gadgetry!

    It does kinda go both ways. But it mainly depends on the context of the thread.

    Sometimes I will go out of my way to criticize some of my favorite characters if it contributes to the thread, because every character has flaws.

    I've finished EV training (via Super Training) my Flabebe and it's a Floette now.  I finished it in two days, but if i tried I would have finished it in one.  Super Training is actually a ton of fun once you start self teaching yourself how the mechanics works, because the game doesn't really tell you much apart from you need to hit the goals.  It become really fast paced and explosive as you gain EVs and the balloons get harder to take down.  It got pretty intense for me a couple of times, enough to make my hands cramp from gripping the 3DS and stylus too hard.  It seriously starts to feel like a crazy version of those alien invasion games where you pilot a ship to take down the final boss.  Oh, and once you get used to it, the controls aren't that bad.  Darkrai is one of my favorite Pokemon, but making it Dark/Ghost would probably make it a bit too OP, at least before Fairy types.  Also, Darkrai is a nightmare Pokemon, so I suppose Dark for sleep would work but not really Ghost, since it never directly involves death.  I adore Floette, even its normal form, but it's Eternal form is awesome too.  I don't want to evolve it into Florges at all, so I'll hold off on it for as long as I can.  Once it starts to be outclassed by my other Pokemon, I may need to evolve it then.

     

    I don't really know what the planned "purpose" of Megas was.  Perhaps to keep things fresh and add a whole new aspect to the metagame?  Fairy-type was added and some type match-ups were changed for balance issues of course, though honestly it's like Fairy-type is the new "God" type, not Dragon anymore.  Megas were made for some Uber Pokemon as well, so I don't think it was to just make weaker Pokemon stronger.

     

    And yes, that joke has spread so far it's becoming a meme now.  I love, haha. 

    Based on your description, Super Training kinda reminds me of Pokeathlon from HGSS. Is that weird? haha. Still sounds super fun though! I always loved playing those side-games that they incorporate into the series. I'm not entirely positive on how they decide the Pokemon's typings, because I seriously can't get myself to see Gyarados as a flying type. Oh my gosh, and their movesets. Why can Explouds and Audinos learn Surf? I also had the same problem with my Magikarp that you have with your Floette. I was debating on whether to evolve it or not until HGSS came out--and I'm really glad that I didn't, lol.

     

    I think Megas were also created to bring back hype into the series. Pokemon has been repeating the same pattern for a long time, so the introduction of Megas was a nice change in pace. The new Fairy type threw me off guard though. I remember how much hate it got when it first came out even though it also shares a similar concept with Ghost and Dragon type. I'm still kinda glad they introduced it. I'll admit that Dragon type was too OP, but like you said before--Fairy type does seem like the new "God" type now.

     

    IGN rated G/S 10/10 but gave ORAS 7.8/10

    I don't think I made the references very subtle since most of you guys managed to figure them out.

    Butterfly Core and Revive are some of the more popular DC openings so I didn't think it'd be that big of a challenge either, lol

    The openings referenced in the banner are Butterfly Core and Revive, haha.

     

    The Shinichi on the very left is taken from Butterfly Core.

    The APTX capsule, hydrocarbons, and DNA molecule were referencing Revive.

    It's Thanksgiving Break where I live, so I finally got the opportunity to finish some banner I was working on for a while:

    This is only one type of style I enjoy working with, so I'll probably showcase some others later. 

    I make a variety of stuff like banners (or signatures for DCW), avatars/icons, wallpapers, etc., so if you have anything you would like to see, ask away!

     

    Brownie points to whoever can guess the DC openings this banner was inspired by, haha.

    Okay. Reading through the info, I got so confused by some things (how/why do you have a sports car in an apartment?).

    I've lived in areas where apartments looked like houses. Since you obviously can't park a car in a stacked apartment lol (unless it's for showcasing), he's probably referring to the house-like apartments. Either that, or it's another fluke.
