I think Shinichi is better with Ran because if I compare to Haibara, she is intelligent and cool. It looks like Haibara is the girl version of Shinichi. Just say that Shinichi is the left part of a heart, Haibara might be the left part too, so they can't be a perfect heart. But if Ran, she's careless and strong but mentally weak. The opposite of Shinichi. She's like the right part of heart, they can complete each other, so I think Shinichi is better with Ran. :3
