One of Gosho's answers in the latest Q&A session got me to thinking: "If Karate were in the Olympics, Ran would win the Gold Medal" I was thinking about something along those lines between my latest emotional breakdown between the hiatus periods of the alternate Bourbon story. Something that might give the Shin/Ran relationship some dramatic strain and depth. Perhaps during a break from school, Ran gets into a rather big karate tournament, and wins a major championship. Next thing you know, she's achieved a pretty sizable amount of fame, such as Shinich when the manga began. She's doing endorsements and magazine covers etc. Ran finds herself so busy with her new found notoriety that she doesn't have the time to communicate with Shinichi over the phone any more, nor spend much time at home with Conan, which causes him to feel somewhat jealous. This could also cause more reasons for him being unable to tell her about his secret, what with her becoming a public figure. I haven't figured out how it would be resolved, but it would be kind of a background event sprinkled throughout the story.

According to Spimer, this is what they say: First picture: "Tennouno's cooking show is interesting" (a real TBS show). Second picture: "Looking forward to the Scarlet Series". (in the anime, of course). Third picture: "I'm very glad you said "thank you." to me." (I don't think it's related to the manga.) Fourth picture: "Yuusaku's got free time, doesn't he?" (Reference to the latest manga chapter.)

I'm glad that some of you are enjoying this interpretation so far. I'm already writing the next chapter right now, and I'm already formulating plans for another alternate storyline. Namely, the "Araide Investigates the B.O." Arc that Gosho never got around to.

The last one so far pretty much in full was The Godfather Part II To be honest, it was pretty hit and miss for me. Then again, I'm not into mob movies. I mostly liked the stuff in the past timeline, but some of the call-back dialogue was pretty clumsy in my opinion. Then, I tried The Dirty Dozen Couldn't even really make it past the beginning, since most of the characters seemed really unlikable.

Actually, the MK Organization came first. The manga began in 1988 and they were there from the start.

According to Yamika on the DCTP Spoiler Box, the first two say that there was an inspiration for the latest files. The third says "Kudo-Kun got a bit excited, didn't he?"

His role, as stated in the translated BO segment of the Conan Drill booklet, is Gin's secretary (research on the subject/Setting up meetings/Driver/etc..) Please refer to his page on the Wiki: http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Vodka As for if he will be a vital character in the series.. I'm not sure what you mean by that given where you are in following the series. But if you mean by the final part of the story, I can't say, he was pretty much a generic thug when the manga began, and Gosho didn't plan on the series running that long in the first place. Because of all the newer agents having attention focused on them, I really pretty much doubt it, he's not been given much to do anymore other than to stand by and watch as things happen, hell, Gin, has been given the same job these days.
