  1. Despite it being my favorite anime (I'm really not privy to very much), I wouldn't say so. That's a pretty big statement to declare it the "best anime in existence". I certainly wouldn't call it "under-rated", not that it's over-rated either. It's absolutely massive over in Japan, which is more than enough for me. I do wish that it were more popular in the states, but there were several reasons why it failed. I'd say that Detective Conan satisfies a certain "itch" I have as a whole, which has kept me attached to it for a very long time, and I still find the new cases interesting. The quality of the anime isn't exactly great at the moment. Many of the anime original cases are flat out uninteresting, and I really prefer the older animation style. The show has long past its peak, and I definitely prefer the manga as a whole. Having not watched much anime (mostly just what was on Adult Swim in the past), I can still say there are some that I've enjoyed almost as much as DC, if not more at some times. I love the Ghost in the Shell series, as one example. Having only seen about 10 or so all the way through, I really don't think I'm in a position to label anything as "the best in existence". Narrowing it down to its genre, I might agree.

  2. It is been months ago since I joined here and never made a post until now! Kon'nichiwa! I'm Jewel-chanXOXO or Jewel for short. I've became a fan of Detective Conan since June 2015 when I watch a random Youtube video about Detective Conan. I became addicted to this anime ever since. My favorite characters are Kaito Kid, Shinichi Kudo and Ai Haibara. And that's all!

  4. Let me just say this—I appreciate your work, immensely. What I said on deviantart, all those months ago? I was being honest with my feelings... but it was still wrong of me. As someone who is not an artist, I should've thought about the demand and care art requires before accusing you of "cheating your fans" by deciding to stop with something. It's only because of you that this even exists—I should just be thankful for that. I apologize for being an entitled, inconsiderate douchebag, in that moment (It may not have been on purpose, but that was likely how I came off). I've regretted it for all this time—I knew, the moment I read the last words in your response, "I'm done talking in circles," you meant "I'm done talking in circles with you." And, yes, so many (if not all) of my conversations with you were about your wariness in continuing with this story because of low reader feedback, and me trying to convince you otherwise, even though you continually said that doing it for the readers was just not enough. I may have damaged our relationship forever, but I still want to ask for your forgiveness. If you never want to converse with me again, though, just say it, and I'll gladly respect those wishes. Whatever your response to this post is, I wish you the best. DCU

  7. Hello there fellow Detective Conan fans. It has taken me a while to find this wonderful site but once I did I felt I should definitely join up on it. I'm a huge fan of the series (anime/manga/movies) and very recently... within the last month or so, caught up to the present in the series and have been keeping up on the weekly episodes being released. On a side note I've seen all the movies at least twice and can't flipping wait to be able to see the 20th Movies. So far all the movies with Kid or the Black Organization has been my favorites. That doesn't really limit much, I'm afraid, but either way psyched to see Rum and how things pan out. >v</

  9. The question of who is best is different than who is it going to be. We all agree that ShinRan is endgame but that does not make it the best option. ShinRan is wrong for so many reasons and many people complain about the amount of childhood friends turned couples in the series but to me it's not really the issue here. When you look at couples like Heiji and Kazuha and compare them to shinRan you can a huge difference. Heijivand Kazuha have chemistry, which as a viewer is the most important aspect to a relationship and that's what ShinRan lacks amongst many other things. Either Haibara or Shiho is a perfect fit for Shinichi and he for her. What makes them great isn't that they're similar, it's the fact that they completely fill the void in each others life. I can't imagine Haibara falling for anyone after him, not after all he has done for her. After all he's essentially the reason she can smile one day and so no other person will ever be able to rise to that level after Shinichi sat the bar too high. As to why she would be perfect for him is because she knows the life that he's leading himself into. If you think about his future after the organization, I believe that it is safe to assume that he will never the same again. Being high school detective is just not gonna cut it anymore. He's working the FBI, CIA and the special police, and for a guy as ambitious as he is I can't imagine him going back to being the arrogant detective. The way I see it his life is going to keep getting more dangerous and soon there will be another organization and he will leave like he always does and that is not fair to Ran. She is willing to wait but in the end it's not worth it. She has nothing to offer him, he has nothing to offer her. The difficulties and struggles they face are completely different they can't understand each other. Their love is based on friendship. But he doesn't need that, not in the long run. He doesn't need someone to return to, he needs a partner right next to him, someone that can take care of themselves and him and there's only one person that can do that. As to how it can happen, the way I see it there's only three possible scenarios where ShinShi happens. 1- Ran dies. 2- No antidote. 3- Ran breaks up with Shinichi. Personally I prefer the third option. Having Ran witness the fight against the organization and the life Shinichi is leading may help her realize that their relationship they imagine is just a fantasy and that it would never work. To have her realize that there was already someone that knows him through and through, someone that can see right through him, someone that can help him grow and someone that can keep him safe. That's my fantasy. Haibara opens more doors for Shinichi that Ran can ever hope to. If you stop and think about the possibility of Shinichi and Haibara joining the FBI for instance, you will realize how truly epic that would be.

  10. Anyone want to talk about cool things like Detective Conan? I also am a fan of bands like Lifehouse and Mayday Parade. How about you?

  11. She's 18? My Apologies. I always thought that Shiho was 21. I'm not too good with the ages of characters on Detective Conan. However, there was a fansub that said that she was 21, but that was just a fansub, and they may could have miscalculated it. (Or maybe I was confused on what Haibara was telling Conan on episode 130.)
