Well, hello, I'm new for the forum and it's my first post. But I've been editing here since the beginning of this year. It's a good exp as I'm studying English Literature and the editing improves my English which is good I have many questions I would like to ask. The thing is I'm afraid they have been discussed before so I don't know what to do. For the time being, I have a question about the wiki (Kaitou Kid page to be precise). Should I discuss this page in Wiki discussion section ? I'm sorry for the long message, it's just I'm too excited to edit something in this page since I'm watching Magic Kaito series now Thank you so much anyway for giving me this opportunity to introduce my self. Hello, I have noticed something that I'm confused about. Comparing between two similar pages in terms of content, as you can see http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/TV_Specials and http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Magic_Kaito are similar in what have been written from episode 1 till episode 8 in Magic Kaito series. However, starting from episode 8, we can notice the changing in writing, and actually some of summary writings has been written badly. For example, in "TV Specials" page: 11 The Tearful Crystal Mother December 22, 2012 Kid meets the queen and is planning to steal the 'Crystal Mother', the crystal mother was hidden away in the glass of ice. that saying "the crystal mother was hidden away in the glass of ice" is kind of a spoiler to the events even if I've watched similar to this episode in OVA 4, don't you think ?. Well, I could edit it, but guys I really want your opinions. Should the two pages aforementioned be edited to look the same (beginning from episode 8) in terms of writing and adding some missing marks ? Because the two pages needed to be edited after all. And yes you're right I'm used to the wiki and familiar to the things working here Thank you so much for helping me again it's just that I have this kind of hesitating personality that I saw myself in need to ask before adding this kind of info because my whole work has been something like adding missing info, correcting spelling/grammar issues (those kind of minor edits) to the Wiki. If you have any question regarding the Kaitou Kid Wiki article, you can discuss it on its "Talk" page: http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Talk:Kaitou_Kid You should read the old discussions there first, then search around in both the Wiki and Forum to see if your problem is solved already. And yes, you can also choose to go to the "Wiki discussion" section, but I highly recommend that you use the talk page since it easily attracts other Wiki contributors and you can receive their responses much faster (not many forum members contribute to the Wiki recently), especially if the question is trivial and revolves around a certain subject. The forum is often used for reporting errors or major discussions (e.g someone wishes to make a big change to the Wiki and wants to hear opinions from as many users as possible). Other than that, just be bold to make an edit/add information if you think it's necessary (as long as they are relevant and appropriate of course). However, before that please read the Manual of Styles and check out other pages carefully to learn how our Wiki works (though I think you have known about this already).

I'm the reverting mod here. I reuploaded all the pictures you posted under the original names - not your filenames, so your pictures are all there. I didn't delete any of them - there are copies of them all. I did that because if you upload a picture under a new name to replace one on a page, the old picture goes into never-never-land on the server. Keeping all the different versions of an image is a good way to keep track of everything, and makes it easy to do server management down the line. The reason I changed two of the pictures back is because the anime pictures were simply bad. It's not your fault. The anime just didn't do them well. Compare for yourself below. vs and vs The first problem with the anime images is that they don't show the action well. It's just Sera's leg. If they were gifs, that would be another thing. Second, two of your anime images have huge watermarks from streaming sites and subbers (that mark in the upper left is bad) on them. That's no good either. We let the Japanese TV watermarks go because they are non-intrusive and very few people have all the DVDs and good image capturing. Skyechan does her best, but she can't replace every image on the wiki. We try to have some standards of quality here. Please understand. ------- I wish I could replace this one with this one Sera was drawn so badly in the anime in this episode. That's the reason why we have many manga images for Sera at the beginning. Much of the art in her intro episodes was low quality because the usual animators were working on a movie at the time. It would probably be better to find a more recent anime episode with better art...

Free to read, free to edit, what do you mean? Oh. Hey, fanart has no place in a wiki where we are supposed to document the manga and anime. Any picture we need, we pull from the source material, so it's true to the origin and not distorted by other artists. So, yes, we have little "value of art" as you so well put it, but it's for a good reason. And also, I say this time and time again: democracy is not an excuse to do whatever you want. The rights of the invidual must be balanced against the rights of the state. We don't use fanart, we don't WANT fanart, and we don't want you to PUT fanart. But we let you edit the wiki and read it for free. I think the small limitation on not putting fanart is a fair trade for the right to edit and read this wiki. Actually one of the best DC wikis on the net, if not THE best. Why else would it be ranked on top of Google search results? Obviously because Google search results rank sites on quality, and not because one site didn't let you do what you wanted because it'd be bad for the site. I KNOW DOUBLE POSTING IS NOT ALLOWED BUT I HAD TO UPDATE THIS THREAD. APOLOGIES. Well, a lot of people may be thinking that I do decent art, but that's sooooo not true. Why, you ask? It's because I spend my free time at school doing THIS with my buddy. These are some drawings I did when I used to play fashion designing competitions with my sister at the age of 10. It looks kinda weird with those HUGE eyes, but I was 10 back then so.... Here! This is the main thing that I wanted upload. I wanted you people to criticize as much as you can because I know something is wrong with it but I can't fix it.
