  1. Hey guys. You might have played my 'hug poke or high five' game before. This one is pretty similar, only instead of replying to the person above you with one of those three, you use an exaggerated anime reaction, like: *falls off chair* or *heart eyes* or *soul flies away* You can use any reaction you've seen in anime, and gifs or images of the actions can be used too, but it would be better if emoticons weren't used, since there's probably a game for that. Mkay, let's start the game~

  3. Originally I didn't think I will be discussing this, but now parental issues are in concern. (The bold parts are directly quoted from the mother's words). Okay first: L-M-A-O !!!! The mother is so naive. Does she really think THAT can "change" her son ? Not only that this doesn't actually "correct" her son's "problem", but the boy will only pretend to be "straight/normal/whatever..." in front of her face, but when he's alone or with others, he will still be himself and there's nothing she can do about it (not that the thing she asked him to do is possible in the first place). In other words, he doesn't need any "change" BUT still get a new Mac or whatever he wants at the same time... I always do this with my manipulative parents (even though my situation is not the same). But unfortunately, not everyone is like me, so I will have to see the situation with a general point of view. Okay so assume that the boy will choose to obey and "work with his mother" to "correct" something that's not even his fault, this kind of "solution" will only affect his psychological life, and will most likely lead to some serious mental unstableness or deep depression (<-- been there, done that ), because what she's asking her son to do is changing his nature, changing who he really is. I'm sure psychologists and experts can explain this better than me. I mean, just imagine yourself being forced to become a completely different person against your will, to give up on being yourself. Of course you cannot just follow easily, but when you have no other choice, you will be struggling doing something that's not even possible, meanwhile desperately trying to keep the "you" alive inside your soul, because you haven't fully given up yet. That alone can already cause some levels of depression. But now that she's already planted the "fact" that homosexual is a "problem", a bad thing that needs to be "corrected" inside the boy's head, his mind will always have to struggle between the following thoughts (respectively): "I am a bad kid, and I need to change immediately!"; "But that's who I am, I just cannot change that fact, no matter how hard I tried!"; "But no, that's BAD! I must change myself!"; "I just CANNOT change! ARG!!"; "No, I will NOT change! I am who I want to be!!......................... BUT THAT's BAAAAAAAD!!!!!" and so on. Just reading this makes your brain explodes, let alone going through the same experience yourself. I don't think I want to know how will this mother feel if her son chooses to commit suicide because of mental problems. I don't want that to happen though... But you know what is more facepalming ? The horrifying fact that she thinks making some "deal" with her son can truly helps her achieving what she wants. No money, Macbook or whatever can "buy" her son's "normality". Either that it would be useless as he would only pretend to obey in front of her; or that it would lead to even more mental depressions. What this "good parent" needs to understand is that sexual orientation can never be "altered" entirely (if not UNchangeable), because like I said, it's essentially changing oneself's true nature, which is impossible. And it's NOT a problem, so it NEVER need to be changed. But of course if she had already known those obvious facts then this ridiculous thing hadn't even been written in the first place. Enough of this mother. This is obviously not just one family's matter, many other parents whose children are homosexuals are the same. They all need to learn to accept the reality, and the nature of their kids. Giving them mental pressures by forcing them to change does not help. I know this is not at all easy because not only that the parents have to stand against themselves, but also against the whole society. However, that's why we need to FIGHT. IF EVEN ONE'S PARENTS CANNOT SUPPORT THEIR OWN CHILD THEN HOW WILL THAT CHILD SURVIVE IN THIS CRUEL SOCIETY ??? In fact, I've heard of many wonderful parents all over the world who have totally overcome the public's hatred and learned to accept their children, giving them the love they need and the chance, the faith for them to grow up and fulfill their dreams, becoming a successful person AS A GAY/LESBIAN. This proves that it is NOT impossible if we FIGHT !!! Anyway, more personally, I am "Asexual" (yes, really). I'm not attracted to any gender. I also don't care about love or sex in general. I once thought that this is not normal, and "forced" myself to confess to one girl that I don't even like and got rejected XDDD. I sometimes also considered the idea that I'm actually gay, but I found out that I don't like males anymore than females... However, now I don't even give a damn about it, I have better things to waste my time on. I support people of every sexual orientation when it comes to human's rights. P/S: Sorry for my horrible English, it's OK if you don't understand it XDDD

  4. Hey guys. This here is the LGBTQA+ Community (edited to actually be inclusive, as the GSA is very limiting). This thread is for the people who are homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, demisexual, heterosexual and/or any other sexual/romantic orientation you may be, as well as transgender, genderqueer, genderfluid, and non-binary people. You can be anything to support this; it's called the LGBTQA+ Community, after all. Just be someone who believes it's unfair and not right to simply judge someone of what gender they're attracted to. There are quite a few kids about there who are figuring out their sexual/romantic orientation. It is very possible you are discovering who you are. But there are teenagers and adults alike who are bullied every day for who they are. Some eventually can't stand the pain anymore and commit suicide because they feel hated, unwanted and repulsive to others. These people need to know that there are people out there in the world who care, even if you don't know them personally. They care what happens, and they believe in equal rights for all. Don't be afraid to be who you are. Just because of who they like doesn't change anything. They're still human. Even if you find out your friend is homosexual, bisexual or anything else, you shouldn't freak out. They're still your friend. It doesn't automatically mean they like you and are trying to come on to you. There are males who are attracted to females. There are females who are attracted to males. There are males attracted to males, females attracted to females and some who are attracted to both males and females. There are other people who are genderfluid, genderqueer or nonbinary. A quote from Cassandra Clare: Did you know? Interracial marriage wasn't allowed until after 1967. How would you feel if someone told you that you couldn't marry your love just because they weren't the same skin color as you? The same race? Same-sex marriage is legal in ten countries (as of 2012): Argentina Belgium Canada Iceland Netherlands Norway Portugal South Africa Spain Sweden The issue has been debated in several more, and some are still working things out. It is, however, in some countries, illegal to be homosexual and you will be put in jail or even killed for it. Homosexuality used to be considered a mental illness. And get this - It's legal for marriage equality in six states of the U.S. (Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Iowa) while it's legal to have sex with a horse in 23. Nice going, America. According to Aeyra: I do realize there are people out there who are religious and even pious, and this goes against your beliefs. Or there may be other homophobic people who are merely disgusted with the idea who homosexuals. I understand that. However, if you are one of these people, I ask that you don't flame or hate on this thread. Don't even bother with this if it's not in your beliefs. We want to help people; not start a fight or an argument with anyone. If you do, however, have a serious issue with this, please PM me. People should be able to love whoever they want. To be truthful... I'm currently trying to figure out what my sexuality orientation is, and I believe myself to be bisexual. But to all my friends I've made here on Detective Conan World who are homophobic, I'm still me. Nothing's changed. Homosexuality is still considered a new idea. Many people are afraid of new things and straying from the normal path. It will take a while for people to adjust to the idea of two males or two females loving each other, but I hope they will learn to accept it soon. Take a look at how America felt about interracial marriage. They didn't react very well. Look at it now. If you're homosexual, bisexual, transgender, pansexual or asexual and you haven't "come out" about it, just know that there are people who care. Don't think about self-abuse or suicide. Know that someone cares, and we're here for you. If you need to talk about anything, I know Aeyra, I and many other DCW members will be happy to listen and try to help the best we can. I just want (and I know many others do as well) to be able to walk down the street openly, holding the hand of whoever I love freely and unafraid of what anyone will say or do, regardless of their orientation and/or gender.

  8. Now, my religion prohibits same-sex relationships, and I've had a very strict upbringing. But I don't see a point in trying to separate two people who love each other. There are some people out there who blow homosexuality totally out of proportion. If it's not your business, stay out of it. A man loves a man. Boom. Big deal. So what? If you're not one of those two men, then what's your point? I don't particularly support homosexuality, bisexuality, asexuality, etc. But I do support the rights of the people who follow this lifestyle. Why? Because their rights are should be the same as mine. I'm not sure I've explained it correctly, but do I make any sense?

  9. I am heterosexual, but if I said I was lesbian or bi, would it really make that big of a difference? I didn't change anything about me- all I did was say four words. "I am a lesbian." How does this completely warp people's perceptions? It's as if the moment a person says these words, in the eyes of some, they are aliens. Different from before. Different from them. Disgusting. Revolting. All because- well, they're different. Because they're not afraid to admit that they love, that they love those of their own gender. Love is love. In Ancient Rome, gay marriage was common, accepted, and people never batted an eye. No one thought it was strange! It's not a bad thing to be different. It's not always a good thing either. But as far as accepting the LGBT community goes, I believe that their difference, their acceptance of these differences, the support we can provide them as a community- that is a good thing. Even if you don't agree with being gay, lesbian, bi, or transsexual, I beg you to support the rights of this often criticized community. I am heterosexual. I am what is currently defined as 'normal.' And I feel as strongly for the rights of this community as I would for my own. Since when did people gain the right to tell others who they can and cannot love? I know the strongest force of opposition to the LGBT community is religion. I am an atheist, so I'm not an expert on the subject, but the Bible shouldn't be held above the law. If I were lesbian, I would be outraged, and I am angry about the utter ridiculousness that this is even a problem, that a book I don't even believe in is dictating my freedom and tearing my right to pursuit happiness into shreds. In the United States especially, our laws call for a separation of church and state. Our constriction tells us that we have a right to rebel against our government for impairing us of our right to pursuit happiness. Not that I'm advocating rebellion or anything, but I want my point to be seen. Don't let your views get in the way of other's happiness. It's like if I don't like a sport, do I go out of the way shouting "I hate football! It's a stupid sport, and everyone who plays it is an abomination and it shouldn't be allowed!" ? Hell NO. Same difference. I remember a beautiful passage from 'To Kill a Mockingbird' about racism, and if you have not heard me say this before, I will let it be known that I feel homophobia is the new racism. To judge on sexuality is just as petty and superficial as judging on skin color. Atticus Finch says that people are instantly judged for something they can't control, that no certain community is solely responsible for immoral actions. The gay community has done no wrong as a whole except come out to the world. As individuals, they have made mistakes, but the same can be said of every other community on our planet. To profile a gay person because of their sexuality is identical to me going to up to a Hispanic person and accuse them of being an illegal immigrant, a drug dealer, and whatever other stereotypes cons up to mind. The problem is, only second is viewed as wrong by far too much of our world. My words might have strengthened your beliefs, changed them, or simply have you turned you off to the idea completely. But I will let you know that I mean all of what I say, and that I'm standing behind this community all the way. I am not afraid to fly a rainbow flag, I am not afraid to announce that I support gay marriage. I know that they are still humans like me, people like me- people who love, who feel, who suffer, who cry, who want to be respected, just like me. Just like everyone. I refuse to hate them for their choice of love, and instead, I will love them for their bravery. I will stand, with utmost confidence, and freely admit that I support them. And I hope that you will join me, whether you be gay or lesbian, bi or transsexual, or heterosexual like me. I hope you realize that this is just another stepping stone towards equality, one that needs to be dealt with now. I don't want to live another day in a world that says my friends aren't equal to us, that they can't have my rights because they are different from the majority. But I have to, and I will fight. This is a fight I have to win, for my friends who are part of the LGBT community, for the ones who suffer from the laws made against them. Please, I beg you, I want you, I need you to fight with me for this. This won't be won by one person or even a thousand or a million. This will be a long and tenuous fight, this will need all the people we can get. But we will never let a white flag fly. The only colors we will want to see are every color- the rainbow that connects the earth to the sky. The connection that can bring us ever closer to equality. Thank you for reading. I can only hope I have made an impact on you.

  10. I found something interesting. Someone went to his school library and he found the newspaper, and every doubt of the interview is cleared. Now I guess that the source for the 2006 Asahi evening newspaper interview article can be confirmed

  11. Hm... Wrong episode to make a point with. DCTP's came out 2 days ago. More impressive would have been to say 645, which has been out for two days now. So by your estimate, you should have already released it or getting ready to release it. Also, this sounds like a speed sub ordeal, just sayin' And yes... Copyright issues. The subbing and distribution of Detective Conan is a violation of Shogakukan, TMS and Gosho Aoyama Copyrights. So technically it is illegal to do so. Posting the links directly here could cause problems for the site whom were already contacted by lawyers for linking to videos (hence the watch section being down).

  12. I know it was originally left up as a reference, but maybe it's time to take it down because the wiki has long surpassed it as a reference? People still ask questions in the forums about not being able to watch videos and it's interrupted a thread recently. Maybe they wouldn't get confused if it didn't exist? If the watch thread is not gotten rid of, maybe it would be better to change the green message to something slightly stronger like. Sorry, but all the videos were removed because the site was issued an official takedown notice in the past. See the forum for more details (or announcements). The following list is currently for informational purposes only.
