"The Witch, the Detective, and the Phantom Thief" (魔女と探偵と怪盗 Majo to Tantei to Kaitō) is an animated special for Magic Kaito based on the fourth chapter from the third Magic Kaito volume.

<spoiler> With the help of Akako, Kaito was able to 'escape' from Hakuba's suspicious. Meanwhile Akako is up the sky ready to go back but was approached by Spider who he thought Akako was Kaitou Kid but realized a while that Akako's actually a witch. The real Kaitou Kid appeared and helped Akako and went up against Spider and Hakuba again tagging along and reveals that Spider real identity is actually the illusionist Gunter von Goldberg II. Kid managed to take the lead against Spider but Spider escaped after emitting a smoke bomb and escaped. Out with confusion, everyone is discussing on the fact that they were two Kids and each made a suggestion on who really might be. Aoko comes out and concludes that Kaitou Kid is probably homosexual. With Akako flying away saying to herself that not until Kaito/Kid becomes her slave, she will not let anyone arrest him.
