Aya Sasaki (佐々木 綾 Sasaki Aya) is a Japanese animator. She does key animation and assistant animaton director in Detective Conan anime and movies. She was formerly affiliated with Studio Wanpack.
Works in Detective Conan
Sasaki joined the production of the Detective Conan anime in 2013, starting with The Devil's Circuit, and served as key animator. After that, she continuously did key animation for the anime. In 2017, she got promoted to assistant animation director, starting with the 2nd part of Conan and Heiji's Nue Legend, but stepped down after the 2nd part of The Tokyo-Style Detective Show Next Door due to the disbandment of Studio Wanpack.
In 2018, Studio Wanpack got disbanded owing to the death of the chairman, accordingly, episode 895 was their last work for Detectiev Conan. However, animators from the studio such as Yui Ushinohama, Hiroaki Takagi and Miho Tanaka, decided to continue working at Detective Conan irregularly, incluidng Sasaki herself, which she served as key animator only afterwards.
