Kota Nakamura (中村 光太 Nakamura Kōta) is a Japanese technical director and animator. He takes part in the production of the Detective Conan anime and movies.
Biography
Not much is known about Kota Nakamura other than the fact that he is directly affiliated with TMS Entertainment[1]. He was first active in anime by joining the Detective Conan production team in 2019, performing the task of production advancement, first in episode 947, which aired in July. He continued as such in sporadic episodes through 2019 and 2020, but was only as production advancement for one episode in 2021 and 2022. He returned to the production team in late 2025, becoming episode director in The Interrogation Room 3. Additionally, he became the technical director for the 74th ending theme, first used in April 2026. He was part of the production advancement team in movies 25 through 28. He became the storyboard artist and director of the 2026 advertisement to promote episodes 1211-1212.
